Great video Mike. I have really cut back on vinyl purchases here in Ireland , the same as you. But I love watching your recommendations, at least I can stream them. Stay well.
Last year you got me into Ghost Funk Orchestra's A New Kind Of Love and I spun that a lot. They actually came to Montreal last summer BUT they were the opening band...otherwise...and even then I almost went but I ended up having a timing conflict...a pity though since as you say, they don't tour much. I will keep that in mind should they come back this summer. I haven't picked up the new record yet as I too am trying to sample to album for a while first and make sure what I buy isn't just sitting on the shelf after being played once. Yesterday I actually brought in 80+ VG+ or better condition thrift finds through the years (70-80s rock, jazz, movie soundtracks etc) to make space and help finance some RSD purchases. The last BJM album I bought was Revelation and I saw them in 2016. I actually saw both the BJM as well as The Dandy Warhols for the first time in 2016; something I had been meaning to do since watching the DiG documentary from 2004 (20 years ago 🙄). Anyway, you've intrigued me with Don't Get Lost (as well as the Turkish-psych-funk). Your new vinyl finds videos are my favorite and often where I get into a new band. Cheers!
Dang, that Mustafa Özkent album has some *BASSsss GUITARRRrrrrr* on there... It's almost as nice as when Charanjit Singh did his bass-titled song on his record where he's on the cover with his bass: this is *cool-turban-bass-guy* kinda' bass! music.ua-cam.com/video/bvC2bGu8BtI/v-deo.html
I like you do not like all of Sun Ra’s discography. I have 2 of his records, one is called Sound Sun Pleasure and the other is a compilation called Singles the difinitive 45’s collection Vol. 2: 1962-1991. If you have these, I see no reason to load up on any more of his stuff. You don’t need all of his records. Love your channel Mike!

Thanx for watching David!! 🎶☮️🎶
I have that Big Pink box set too, there is a lot of supplemental stuff but it’s really nicely put together.
It is really well done
I'll be streaming some of these for sure 🎶🎵🎶 The Brian Jonestown Masscare sounds really interesting.
Hey Mark !!! Its SO great
Hi Mike I checked out that Brian Johnston massacre and enjoyed it . I don’t have that band album but I’d like it. Thanks for sharing 👍

Hey Rod!! How ya been?? Thanx for watching. 🎶☮️🎶
I don't remember if I've ever seen Ghost Funk Orchestra ever mentioned on UA-cam before. Great freaking band!
Thanks!
I discovered them on UA-cam when A Song For Paul came out. Someone mentioned it. Fell in love right away.
