Thanks as always Mike! I also ordered that Karate Boogaloo just because of the jacket package. And agree, it’s okay. BUT I streamed the EEG Coherence as soon as you started talking about it and then ordered it from the only American seller on Discogs who even accepted my lower offer. Man I’m so happy to find one, as there were only 4 available. I can always count on you to lead me to the coolest stuff! It’s amazing! ❤️
Hey Art! SO glad you got a copy! Its freaking amazing! I got mine from The Mixed Tape Club. Cool American store. Im now on their list. I bought another interesting electronic album from them this morning
Hi Mike!!! it looks like may was a great month after all..... so cool to see how some type of music like jazz are adding other sounds to make their music more appealing and in same cases rejuvenating it. Hope you can remember the netflix series and the name of the middle east country, lol.... cheers and be well
Hey Mike, thanks for the shoutout. Very happy to see that you got your copy. Brahja is one of my favorite contemporary artists, everyone should get a copy of it. Cheers!
Hey Mike. I try and always find channels of people talking about music I don't really know as well. Your channel definitely fits in that realm. Never seen these records before (except for St. Vincent, but I haven't really listened to her stuff). Cheers.
Nice to see a new vinyl finds from Hubtunes! They are my personal favorite since I get a lot of new music ideas from these. A coffee and this segment started my June 1st Saturday morning. First, some comical highlights that gave me a chuckle: "it's being used in a new Netflix series but I can't remember the name so I shouldn't have brought it up" 😆 (when commenting on the new St. V) "Pretty exciting hey (or Canadian eh?) vinyl community" 😆(when featuring the Colemine records blind buy) "these guys are middle eastern...not sure which country...I'm going to guess they're from...I'm NOT going to guess 🤣 I hate the MoV sticky resealable sleeves as well! I too have been much more discerning in my (especially blind-ish) buys but the new record from King Hannah - Big Swimmer caught my ear and so I ordered it up. It scratches my alt-90s itch in a good way. There are influences from Mazzy Star to Portishead,...it's modern indie folk with guitar noise edge and with from Sharon Van Etten. There are even references to Bill Callahan. So yeah, once in a while I still pull the trigger. I obviously enjoyed this video. Cheers!
Sam Shalabi... is a very cool guy? When I picked up a few exclusive-color Mort Garson records from End of an Ear's online sale page I looked through the rest of their clearanced titles & I bought one by *Land of Kush* because it was only $15 or so & it was a two-disc album called 'Sand Enigma' from a collaborative large-group project led by some Egyptian-Canadian dude named Sam Shalabi, & on it he was exploring his Egyptian heritage through a modern avant-garde approach. It arrived, & I played it, & it is a *tough* listen. When it's good it is really-really good & it actually does kinda' give up majestic ancient desert vibes with a bunch of interesting Arabic motifs & tonalities - but it also has a bunch of drifting, droningly discordant parts that are just WEIRD AF & I still can't tell if I like it or not. So yeah: Sam Shalabi is obviously an artist who knows his stuff & takes cool risks & I'll always be intrigued by whatever he does now. 🧠❤️🔥
Hi, you might like band called ADHD have had out 8 records that are good and they are crasy good live. you could look at this from 2014. ADHD - Full Performance (Live on KEXP) but there is lot more and they are still going strong and touring.
I got the EABS record same time as the last Organic Pulse Ensemble lp. Great stuff. The Brahja records sell out quickly then are too $$$ on discogs. Check out the new Beth Gibbons lp, which im loving from last month.

Awesome! Ill check em out!! Thank u.
+@imthedead I just checked them out. Cool stuff
It's funny, to me, separately EABS and Jaubi aren't nearly as good as they are together. In Search Of A Better Tomorrow is phenomenal!
Totally agree! I’ve looked into some other stuff, but nothing catches my ear like this one
