Jada Toys is just nuts to watch as they continue to learn and improve with each figure. Even now, they've moved factories, and the versions of wave 1 being produced from it have cleaner, more crisp face paint and smoother joints. In a little over a year, they're now set to complete their Street Fighter 2 line, with a promise to tackle other, equally classic games in the series. Juhn, pretty much the face of the company now, stated that he has no interest in the modern games and will continue to focus on various titles, rather than complete a roster like they've been doing with 2. Exciting stuff! Equally exciting is seeing your reviews again after disappearing for a while! As someone who has been watching your stuff since the early Figuarts days, I was just finishing up your Black Renewal review when I saw this pop up as well. One thing I've always appreciated about your work is how great the quality was, that even a decade later it's all still comparable. That, and your description of joints and how that translates to range of motion, among other qualities, still puts you a step above nearly everyone else reviewing today.
Not only did the SDCC Chun-li come with the smile head (and a Kikoken), it came with one specifically for this one too, since her buns are pink on the P2 costume. I think a lot of previous "SF" toys failed with P2 colors because they just didn't do anything new with it besides the colors and no one bought them.
So, I've been following Vangelus' videos for quite a few years now, even though I'm not much of a collector (between the lack of disposable income and not having a display area that my cats won't leap up to chew on) outside of a few Gunpla and model kit figures that I bought more for the tactile dopamine hit that comes with assembling them than for pose and display purposes. That being said, this is one of those rare toys I see on Vangelus' show that makes me think, "Ooh, I *want that!*"
AT LAST, a review that doesn't have me rushing out to the store for a figure...Because she's already on my desk. Would recommend M.Bison if you come across one for being not only a heavy figure for the price tag, but also the articulated cape accessory.
I wonder how this scales with the lightning collection figure. Be cool if she was just slightly shorter to account for the helmet. It'd make a cool display
Very brave of you to display Chun Li's rapid kick without some kind of Evo Moment #37 reference. Kudos! I'm kinda stunned by the engineering on this one. And it's the *worst* of the wave because it doesn't have butterfly joints?! Wild! (Provided, her poofy shoulders make those problematic.)
That Chun-Li was a welcome surprise when I got one in hand. I've since found and purchased both Ken and Fei Long, but I haven't seen Ryu anywhere at Canadian retail (I think A3U had him very early on but I missed out) so I'm still on the hunt. I'm decidedly not great at fighting games, but I really enjoyed the Street Fighter-centric anime movies my local rental place had on VHS back in the day, so I've always loved the characters, and this seems a great way to get them on shelves. Here's hoping Jada continues for a while with this
Funny, I just got her yesterday. Did you also pick yours up from Walmart? One of mine had a whole USFII standee display with Chun-Li, Ken, Fei Long, and M. Bison available. Sadly with TFCon around the corner I could only get one and haven’t found time to open her just yet, but this review has me very excited to do so.
I very much enjoyed this as a fellow Lifetime Scrub. I can vouch for Ryu and Mega Man's quality. I'd say Mega Man is about on par with Chun-Li, but in a smaller package.
I don't even think Chun here needs any butterfly joints, as her shoulders are plenty narrow enough. I for one at least can make my copy cross her arms in front of her chest quite easily.
"For you, the day the Toy Maverick graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday."
6:33 Man, that is masterful camera work and clever editing to make it all flow
thank you!
This is incredibly impressive for being the "worst" of the three. Even the packaging is top tier. Seriously impressive stuff.
Great review!
And that little action sequence, Chef's kiss!
WILL YOU HERE COMES TO BE A NEW CHALLENGER..... AT THAT???
....... USSR!

Good stuff, Chris. I hope you are well. ✌️

She'd be peak with butterflies and I personally wish Jada would implement Drop Down hips...but still they're pretty much all godlike
She looks really cool. I can't collect that many lines these days. I'll just live vicariously through this review.
Street Fighter 6 is absolutely a good one. I finally have the motivation to put more work in and get okay at the game!

lets go!!!! this is the review our girl needed 👏
I own Fire Man and Ice Man from the Mega Man line Jada did. Great figures

I got her at TFcon LA, haha
The only time I've seen one at Walmart was in May, and it was...just a single Chun-Li!!
I have the STORM COLLECTIBLES one. I can't find a comparison to save my life. is this one an improvement over that one or not?
Legendary legs in toy form!
Praying we see a Darkstalkers spinoff of this line
Round 1, fight!
Chun li my main love it.
I appreciate that you are humble enough to admit that you're not the strongest woman in the world. THAT is what makes you strong.

I LOVE AMAZING ACTION FIGURE ENGINEERING GRRRAAAAAAAHHHH🗣️🗣️🗣️

This makes me wonder how well those "Game Dimensions" Tekken figures are compared to these.

Looking at this and sincerely hoping they aren't planning any Darkstalkers releases. I'm not sure my wallet can handle it!

... Did it work? XD
I'm not even a Street Fighter nut, but even I like the look of this figure \^^/
Hello Vangelus do you have a business email?
