Paid Off My Dart Lease. Don’t Recommend You Try It Right Now

It’s been rough the last 6 months or so at Dart. I finally paid off my truck. Yep I completed my Lease and own my truck outright. I would not suggest you try this right now. Watch my video

Congratulations on the payoff. Rates are about to come back up because it's almost election year. I talked to a dart recruiter and compared the leases with dart to another dry van carrier local to where I live running the same lane and compared to my current lease with prime. I don't think I'll be jumping ship any time soon but dart looks good overall

I'm retired and not in trucking. My brother was a safety manager at DART for years before moving on to a tanker company. What you said about having money in the bank applies to any person, any job. There is a lot of fleet trucks on the market now for 45-55k with under 450k miles. Seems to me that's the only way to get into trucking. Buy your own truck out of pocket. Having a 4k payment just doesn't make sense. Also be able to do your own repairs for the most part seems to be a real money saver and getting the truck working again

Own authority is ok if your brother in law is a broker… other than that… too many expenses.. The grass is NOT greener… and it will cost you a fortune to find that out
