Simple. I don't believe the government has a moral authority to use violence to force compliance. I do believe the government has power to use violence to enforce compliance. Should they exist? No. Do they exist? Yes. And they will harm me to enforce their laws. I want to stay safe so I comply.

I could overlook all the illegal stuff they were doing, as long as I didn't have to do it myself. I had convinced myself that as long as I could make enough money for my needs without breaking the law, it didn't really matter how much they kept for themselves. It took a few weeks before it became clear they were skimming too much for me to be able to make money without breaking the law. I got out as soon as I figured that out.
Very informative video I must agree with you about some Super Ego drivers not being very good drivers seen many out east out on the roads and they're scary how they go about their business driving trucks almost as scary as FedEx.. UPS.. R&L .. Sia..Estes.. Old Dominion drivers just to name a few good luck to you.
Well, the first clue that they are no good is they are based in or around Chicago. I would probably say most likely run by Foreigners from Russia or Mediterranean area. I had a bad experience with Rafa out of the same area a few years back. Who tried to tell a company I was talking to that I abandoned the truck when I was still in it at home on my home time. Nothing more than a money laundering scheme. I advise to stay away from companies out of that area. I have never heard anything good from any of them the 14yrs I been driving. Stay safe out there and keep the shiny side up.
I'm lucky. I drive northeast regional for a midsized company based northern New England. There are weeks I run entirely on split sleeper, either 3/7 or 2/8. Our log dept. understands and our ELDs compensate automatically. I can't imagine driving for a company that doesn't understand sleeper splits.
Exactly! I run split a lot too. It was a big shock to me that it wasn't an option there. No PC or Yard Move either. So many ways to run legal and get the job done, yet they choose to edit logs. 😳
I worked for a company not a big outfit..but did split sleeper all the time 2- 8...3-7...4-6...whatever worked...Dot checked at stops and always said I was in compliance as long as the first time in the sleeper was lower than the second..and had to be at least be 2 hours at a time
@TouchingGrassOTR most companies claim you can't go off duty bc you are still in charge of the truck..off duty relieves you of being in charge of the truck but there's always an argument when it comes to trucking lol
Where there is a rule, or a technique to enforce that rule, there will always be unscrupulous individuals who attempt to cheat by finding a way to break that rule.
I just brought my truck back to the Jax yard today. They have a class action lawsuit against them for changing the rate confirmation a bunch of crooks and I let them know that.
I passed a Super Ego truck on the interstate yesterday, and the left side tank fairing underneath the driver's door was loose at the front and flapping in the wind like a chicken wing. I got ahead of that as fast as I possibly could, so that I wouldn't have to stop and pick that junk out of my grill and radiator. Pretty scary.
I never even made it out of the hotel with those assholes MN 89 for me was the worst I worked for them for three months and didn’t receive a single paycheck
Yep. They used to use ELD One which is one of the ELDs that got delisted. Now they use one called AktionELD. The problem is anyone can self-certify their ELD system and it's legal until the FMCSA decides it's not compliant. My guess is SuperEgo either developed their own software or are in bed with the developer and if it ever gets de-listed they'll just re-release it under a new company and new name. Just like they do with all their ghost authorities.
I did a load from texas to Florida and I talk to a super ego driver and they was paying for the same load 3,000 and i was getting pay 4,600 big difference
Probably has something to do with the fact that they set up ghost carriers and cycle through them before they have the chance to get in too much trouble. Also, because the logs are digital and edited at the company, it's going to be hard for a DOT officer inspecting the truck to detect the falsification.
Driving from that chair dispatching all that time got you a taste of how drivers get screwed everyday.Lol good for you.Heads up very few of the new trucks last long enough to get them paid off.Pick your poison Def or Automatic trans.😂
Man I do not miss worrying about that ELD. Ag Exempt means I get more time than there are hours in the week. I personally don’t want to work for a big company. Been there, done that. For those of you that do, you have more patience than I’m capable.
So when u thought about Lease's what made u say Super Ego before ANY other lease? Everything u was looking for that super ego had , other companies had . You wouldve even did better at Hirshbach and they're mileage ! U shouldve ran when u seen that u had to pay for the trailer like i know drivers will have different experiences at companies but idk why yall keep going there wasting time when u hear a MILLION drivers saying the same thing. It's just crazy to me how you guys are still going there .
I have a long term plan of getting my own authority, so I was looking for a lease program that was as close to running fully independent as possible. I thought SuperEgo might be that way since they pass all the costs down to the driver, but my own inexperience with leasing led to some poor choices.
This is why I don't work for that Clown of a Company and work for a Chicago IL based company. I'm doing alright over here and won't go anywhere else unless I can get on with NASCAR and driving one of the Hauler Trucks

Running outlaw ain't worth it because I know I don't have to break the law to make money. And there's a huge difference between cutting bait when you know you're fighting a losing battle, and being broke. I was losing money at SuperEgo. I didn't lose it all, because I went in with a healthy savings, and I was smart enough to get out before I wasted it. Now, although I'm not making the kind of money I know I should be, I'm still making enough to live on, I'm adding to my savings, and I'm not putting myself and others at risk in order to do it.

Excellent intro, screwed up the rest of the video by eating, pausing to much...just trying to help coming from someone who wants to get directly to the point...
I drive for these guys and they haven't lied to me yet. They have actually done a lot to help me so far, but this is a place where you have to run to make money. That goes with any lease purchase job. That means being smart about fuel and working harder than you do as a company driver. Laughing at these people who think they can lease to own a nice new(er) truck, run 2500 miles while getting home every week and make over $100k a year....I know there are some gigs like that out there and if you have it like that then that's great. I haven't put the years in yet to get on with those kind of outfits but I'd rather work hard and choose where I want to run and earn more money than sign on with a mega and run the worst lanes for 200-2500 miles a week and take home 800-1000 a week with a driver manager on my ass all the time. As long as you make your delivery time here they leave you alone and I like that.
The FMCSA rulebook says the first break (2 or 3 hours) can be in either sleeper or off duty. Only the longer break has to be in SB. Their ELD software doesn't properly implement it and their ELD department are only trained on how to falsify logs, not how to actually comply with the law.
If everyone can just go on a load board and dispatch themselves out of their trucks easy peay then everyone would be doing so. Even the ones who do have their own trucks paid off and have their own authority don't see it easy. Brokers don't have to tell you how much they getting paid and neither the shipper. Go straight to shipper ask them for loads any dealer will sell you a truck bad or good credit. I get that these super company are clowns but why the hell is 3000 drivers clowning over there. They cant read a contract just seems absurd. Iam almost sure no company shows you 100 percent of the rates confirmations. They all playing these clown games. Dispatching yourself isn't easy and there plenty of brokers just like this Super company who aren't paying anything making up claims that never happened like TQL and then saying you owe them for delivering the loads. I hate all these dishonest shysters, thieves, conman and scammers. FMCSA isn't going to do sht except fine drivers.
I Find this Topic interesting in that you aren't the only video claiming the same... However, I task you with making a video where the evidence is presented in said claims. If what you say is what is truly going on, others should be warned, and the consequences should go to those performing in "Poor Business Models." I Like this video, but I come from a "News Background" where talk is just talk until the Evidence says otherwise. If such exists, and you're willing to provide same the very idea of that style of video would be a very compelling one for not only your channel, but others who would be willing to watch. I for one, have an open door to any possibilities. #JustSayin
Well if you need evidence, just look at the comments. There's a couple Super Ego drivers in here admitting to (and trying to justify) editing their logs. That should be all the proof you need. But I do still have the texts from my dispatcher talking about how 99% of the drivers do it and how I could make an extra couple thousand a week if I would do it. I figured I'd save that in case anything ever came up where I might need it.
I'm tired of these drivers talking about ALL of these truck companies, saying they not making money, the company is running illegally but here's the kicker....THEY STILL STAY WITH THE COMPANY THAT THEY DISSING! stop getting on here bashing them just to get viewers. If you not making money why are you still there? Lol because you making money or you just don't know how to run the legal way! SMH! Get better, do better and you will see better results!
I see you're very rude, you're doing a video (blog), but wanna eat, that is so rude!! I'm a trucker, I can fund time to di the video (blog) then eat! Learn respect and ear off camera!
Let’s be honest if any company was taking only 12% of any load they would QUICKLY go out of business even with you taking on the cost of everything..the best and I mean the best deal possible is 20% take it or leave it and that’s being generous
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm not interested in assisting the government. I'm only interested in informing people so they are aware and can protect themselves from this shady company.
I'm not going to edit my logs boohoo😂😂 Then proceeds to claim he's not making money. If you couldn't get with the program it was best to get out the way
Which is exactly what I did. The program is not only illegal but also puts everyone from the carrier to the driver to the people in cars near the driver at risk of fatigue related accidents. Not to mention you're in a position of having to trust a company that clearly is not averse to commiting fraud to both protect you from the law and not skim more on the rates than you think they are. Plus you're having to run more miles than anyone else to make the same amount of money. It's not worth it.

No workmans comp No unemployment insurance Higher social security tax Hotel fees Maintenance fees Reoccurring truck payment No pto, holiday, healthcare No 401k Ill stick with w2 instead of 1099
@@indo3052 If you're a W2 employee, each week a good portion of your money goes directly to the IRS before you ever have access to it. You MIGHT get some of it back at the end of the year, but you won't have earned any interest, or had any ability to use or invest it in something that can produce additional income. Basically, you've given the government your money, let them do what they want with it for a year, and then get it back -- an interest free loan. If you're 1099 or have an LLC, you get 100% of your money each week. You can use it however you want, put it in an interest earning savings account, put it in a CD, invest in stocks, crypto, your own business, etc... And at the end of the year (or quarter), you just cut a check to the government for the taxes you owe, which, depending on how you use your money and how good your accountant is, might be less (potentially WAY less) than what you would have paid under W2. But of course, you can only be 1099 if you own (or lease) your own truck. Sure, you may not be able to take advantage of some of the perks of being a company driver (like health insurance), but I'd rather pay only for what I use, and not give the government any more money than I absolutely have to, especially knowing what they do with it (wars, socialism, corruption, etc)..
@@TouchingGrassOTR I understand what you were saying. You are saying you would rather have the money temporarily so that you can invest with it. I understand . One thing I might add though when you were a W-2 employee your Social Security tax is only 6% the employer pays the other 6%. When you are 1099 you have to pay the full 12%. So you need to do the math in your equation. Whatever your profit is deduct 6% of that original money.

Best video I've seen about Super Ego. Very detailed, and a shame that you won't take that to the authorities. It would make the roads safer. Assuming they did anything about it in the first place.
However, I think I understand your reasoning.

I could overlook all the illegal stuff they were doing, as long as I didn't have to do it myself. Thanks for info
No problem.
I worked for a company not a big outfit..but did split sleeper all the time 2- 8...3-7...4-6...whatever worked...Dot checked at stops and always said I was in compliance as long as the first time in the sleeper was lower than the second..and had to be at least be 2 hours at a time
Technically, the shorter section doesn't even have to be in SB.. The rule says you can be off-duty or in SB. It's the 7 or 8+ that has to be in SB.
@TouchingGrassOTR most companies claim you can't go off duty bc you are still in charge of the truck..off duty relieves you of being in charge of the truck but there's always an argument when it comes to trucking lol
Great video
I had no idea that outlaw trucking companies were still around. I thought electronic logs were going to do away with that?
Where there is a rule, or a technique to enforce that rule, there will always be unscrupulous individuals who attempt to cheat by finding a way to break that rule.
Even big co.panies falsify logs, cr England is one
And they just opened up a yard in my hometown of Jacksonville FL to! SMDH!
I just brought my truck back to the Jax yard today. They have a class action lawsuit against them for changing the rate confirmation a bunch of crooks and I let them know that.
I didn’t know there was a good side
I passed a Super Ego truck on the interstate yesterday, and the left side tank fairing underneath the driver's door was loose at the front and flapping in the wind like a chicken wing.
I got ahead of that as fast as I possibly could, so that I wouldn't have to stop and pick that junk out of my grill and radiator.
Pretty scary.
Doesn't surprise me in the least.. And he probably won't fix it because he's not making enough money.
Smh .. That's evil 😈
Let the man blow up huh ?
I ran outlaw for years back on paper logs. 6k even 8k miles in a week. .32 cents a mile

How do you pay a dispatcher located in another country $100? PayPal?😂🤣
There's all sorts of ways to move small amounts of money across borders.
@jonpye8655 western union works for me
They use illegal ELD system, which they can give more hours...that's why there drivers are fatigue
YIKES! But it doesn't surprise me in the least. Skimming off the loads and screwing the drivers is how they make their money!
You'd think they'd take that big logo off the trailer. Maybe dot dosen't know this open secret but I rarely see them stopped
Probably has something to do with the fact that they set up ghost carriers and cycle through them before they have the chance to get in too much trouble. Also, because the logs are digital and edited at the company, it's going to be hard for a DOT officer inspecting the truck to detect the falsification.
Maybe some of them drivers need to get the broker on 3way and be muted and ask super ego dispatch so the broker can also hear the lies
The brokers lie to the carriers all the time. Why would they care if the carrier lied to the driver?
Them telling me I can pull my own loads off the “super Ego load board “ is enough insight I need… no thank you
There's another UA-camr who was at Super Ego after they launched their load board. He says it was absolute garbage with almost no loads on it.

I'm a practical anarchist. I hate the laws and the government that created them, but I'm not an idiot. I know I won't win in a fight against the government. So I pick my battles.

If you didnt actually assign the sb ,you were in violation,if you assign it it takes it off your day, pretty simple
The FMCSA rulebook says the first break (2 or 3 hours) can be in either sleeper or off duty. Only the longer break has to be in SB. Their ELD software doesn't properly implement it and their ELD department are only trained on how to falsify logs, not how to actually comply with the law.
FMSCA needs to shut them down
The FMCSA could care less about safety. But public opinion is a powerful tool.

If you can't make decent money work LESS than legal maximum you not working with good company

Well if you need evidence, just look at the comments. There's a couple Super Ego drivers in here admitting to (and trying to justify) editing their logs. That should be all the proof you need. I figured I'd save that in case anything ever came up where I might need it.

Not to mention you're in a position of having to trust a company that clearly is not averse to commiting fraud to both protect you from the law and not skim more on the rates than you think they are. They kept blowing me up. What do I look like (A SUCKA)? SUPER EGO 👎🏾
