I've just come from watching your Ingressus analysis video and wanted to say a couple things on my mind. I remember discovering SoW when it first released during covid lockdowns. I was so immersed by the story and world that I waited eagerly for each new episode, I even ended up reading the whole animation script when news about its discontinuation came out in one sitting. Since then, over time I had forgotten about this hidden gem, partly due to not having a way to discuss or share about the show at the time, and only now, 4 years later, your Ingressus analysis shows up on my feed, and I am re-discovering this series and the works done by fellow fans of the show. I just wanted to say thanks for bringing me back, and I think that SoW is in good hands with all these talented animators and content creators such as yourself. I hope one day it can become as great as it once was, so please, keep doing what you're doing for the SoW community, and thankyou.
Thalleous's deeds were truly horrifying considering how he was potrayed as a major protagonist in the first episode itself. it was shown that Voltaris were the evil clan but the point of view was from Thalleous who had been hunting them for multiple decades. To be fair, the other clans were wrong in potraying the voltaris to evil just because they wanted to study the songs but it was also thalleous's fault as he refused to believe the truth and was easily led to believe that the voltaris were evil. He killed women, men and children just to satisfy his goal to end the voltaris clan while not spending even a moment of his life ( well over 200 years ) to think if what he was doing was wrong. This is why i do not like his character, to be easily led over by a rumour which he refused to dive deep into.
Yeah the things he did, just like with Ingressus were very bad… however, I would both Thalleous and Ingressus aren’t completely evil, while I would say Tygren and Pythus would be entirely since they didn’t have good intentions
And also instead of having a normal life and a permanent home after the war ended. He decides to find and kill every single Voltaris he encounter. I also think he is not entirely evil but he is not the greatest example to follow.

I like to think that Thalleous as well as Ingressus did not realise clearly what he was doing while being under Prime songs effect. However, unlike Voltaris master, upon going out of effect he did not admit that he was wrong, but tried to justifise that. The most horryfing of Primes' effects are, as I see it, not that you are do not think clearly, but that you realise that you were under their effect only if you are lucky to break free. So Thalleous, who simply never broke free and effect kinda just weared off him, never understood that that weren't his own actions. But as I said, instead of looking through and admitting, that he has gone far overboard what does he do? Right, convice himself that this is the right thing to do and CONTINUES his horrible actions. I also see that the moment when he found Senn and withnessed his father's death was the time when he finally realised that something isn't right about his actions. Countinuing this line of thought, when he raised Senn, he made sure that he has the best future possible, and in the end even sacrificing himself to save him, trying to redeem himself in his own eyes. Thalleos still was scared to face his failure, which is why he isn't telling Senn who he is and keeps all that "Voltaris are evil, go kill 'em" style of talking (which is another mistake he makes, not even being able to accept that he was wrong), but he isn't collecting Prime songs for himself to fight again, as if he asknoleges that it hasn't done any better in the past. In many sides for me he is like Ingressus: as well makes mistakes under Prime songs' effect, as well ends up causing slaugter, but, unlike Ingressus, he never accepts that he is wrong, and by that last he still remains a villain in the end. Villain, who he didn't aim to be, but ended up deserving his fate despite good intensions.

I would like to see a songs of war analysis of the necrolord/Xan Voltaris since we haven't seen or heard much about him and it would be fun to explore his character a bit more
Im glad to hear more songs of war videos are coming sadly I won’t watch this video because I haven’t seen any fan made versions of season 2 or 3 since I have been hoping for an official version and I would like my first experience of the full story to be the official version
i love watching people still carrying on the legacy of songs of war, i really wish from the bottom of my heart that the original studio would make a chapter 2 or whatever it would be called
Great video!!! I’m honestly not too sure how to put my thoughts into words, but I definitely agree with your points. Thalleous Sendaris wasn’t the great hero Season 1 portrayed him as, and I was horrified to learn of his actions when I read the script. I hope the dumpster fire that will be the Minecraft movie will bring a new audience to Songs of War. Such a good story!
In terms of characters to analyse, I think Abigail or Kiyoshi would be good ones: Abigail has to bear the burden of a fallen order while simultaneously grappling with losses, lessons and frankly - life experience (or lack there of in season 1s case) And Kiyoshi, poor guy put every ounce of effort he had into defending Felden and it still wasn't enough I dunno, both of them earned a spot on the top 5 SoW characters if you ask me
In summary: Thalleous is racist but sometimes not racist But seriously, this is an amazing video, it’s impressive how much detail you were able to cover given how not much information was known about his past
That's another cool analysis! Now I have another amazing thing to watch over and over again for at least a week!!! Also, that's just a thought, but maybe you could do Senn's analysis?
i think the reason why thalleous had shown mercy to sen was that the prime songs were no longer with him for a long time. Just like how ingressus showed mercy to ria ( when he didnt have prime songs) but not galleous ( when he did have prime song) , thalleous came to his senses little by little after the songs were taken from him.
Also, has anyone ever taken the time to notice perhaps how Thalleous took Senn in for his personal gain? Naturally, having been raised and brought in by Thalleous, He would’ve obtained those same values and how Thalleous saw the world. He hadn’t yet discovered he was Voltaris. Perhaps he would’ve continued the same killing that Thalleous did to the Voltaris. Senn looked up to him before he found out the truth. Thallous was old and knew he would die soon, so perhaps he took him in to continue his legacy through the eyes of a younger warrior. One that could continue what he started…
The only reason why Thalleous lost to Ingressus was because as u said, he was a veteran by then and had less stamina and power, however if both had fought at their prime, champion Thalleous wouldve destroyed ingressus
Maybe not 'destroyed' this is still 'Ingressus' the guy who practically beat herobrine and Tidesinger back to back. But I do agree that Thalleous probably would have won as you said, just maybe a closer fight than we think, or at least that's my headcanon
8:34 CK... You have got to tell me where you found this animation. Plus, good to see that ya did another character analysis 😊. Sorry, it's just that SENN LOOKS SO SMOL. RIA TOOOOO 😭😭
Now that i think about it can u do one for tygren? I think theres more to tygrens history then what we think,i dont think that tygren is evil because he wants to be theres prob alot more oh why tygren is like that
I really like the storytelling way, other than you knew a littttttle more than i did, i would really advice you use tonality, control your tone to out action in your words and give an enthusiastic speedh describing the sceneario, i wish i could do storytelling stuff like that, or even on that, but i dont have an audience, howeverm i would be glad to help, either literally or giving advide, and that is what i do, please stay up with rhe series, if i found another video like that uploaded, or even you commenting telling me there is, then congrats, you earned yourself a new subscriber
While the story is well constructed, I do think more developement couldve gone into the main Ardoni Plotline. This is just an excuse for me to say the Felden plotline should have not been in the Main Storyline as it doesn't directly connect to the story as the Ender Arc did. Getting rid of it would give so much more time to Develope preestablished characters rather than giving everyone little focus
When I finally got around to reading the scripts for seasons 2 and 3 a while ago, I was really not happy with what they did with the backstory for Thalleous and the Voltaris. I can completely understand adding a bit of moral complexity to Thalleous- he wasn't all good, and in fighting the Voltaris, who he saw as a legitimate threat, he went too far. But from what I understand from what you said here, the Voltaris literally did nothing warranting any of this- besides maybe being untrustworthy with the prime songs. But isn't that literally what the other clans did with them? From season one I assumed the masters did not use the prime songs until they absolutely had to in order to defeat the nether, because they were so apprehensive about the Voltaris using them. But now we find out that they literally let a bunch of champions go out with them to brutally slaughter the Voltaris, after they had already banished them and were now trying to hunt them to extinction. That in my book would be the literal definition of overusing their power. I understand that it illustrates the hypocrisy of the Masters, but that is just way too far in my opinion. Another major problem, from what I can remember, is that at the end of season 3, no one really said anything after the truth about Thalleous was revealed. it didn't really change Senn and Ria's overall perspective on him or the war. That is a major revelation that would have huge impacts on the narrative. To your point about Tygren, yes he is sadistic and evil, but honestly, if he doesn't do whatever it takes, he and his people will all be killed. I don't believe it was ever Ingressus' or the Voltaris' plan to murder every other Ardoni. You can add nuance to Thalleous and the Ardoni, you can make it so that they were not all good, but what they did was no less than make the Voltaris the good guys. They were fighting for their lives- 100%, because everyone else wanted to kill every single one of them. I think for this to work, the Voltaris would have had to explicitly do something really bad before the great war for them to warrant what they got. Even then, I don't think it's a good idea for the Masters and Thalleous to be so aggressive against them. It completely switches the conflict, and while there should be valid reasons for the Voltaris' perspective, they should still be the villains.
Thalleous shall always remain a (extremely flawed) hero in my eyes. A villain would have taken the prime songs gathered like minded ardoni which we saw in episodes 9-10 and finished the fight. Again that’s just my opinion
Good analysis 🥳was very interesting… I would say even though what Thalleous did was wrong (as well as everything Ingressus did) I don’t think either of them are completely evil… both of them killed to protect their clans/those they loved, whereas Tygren and especially Pythus didn’t seem to care very much about anyone… Pythus killed his own father… not a nice guy… plot twist… maybe Vulcannus said to Pythus, I’ll never join you, you killed my father… and Pythus says, no, I am your father!! 😂
@ ah alrighty, so you don’t think he was in any way facing off against Tygren on the mountain to protect Hawken? Or Senn at Sendaria against the Voltaris? When he said run Senn now, to me that definitely sounded like he was trying to protect him… not saying you’re wrong though or making fun of you at all, do you think in those situations he was actually just wanting to kill the Voltaris for sport?
@@MasterGanondorf my bad, I didn’t clarify, I was simply talking about Thalleous during his crusade of genocide. And how it’s disingenuous to say that he was protecting the people he cared about when slaughtering innocent people who didn’t even think about laying a finger on anyone he cared about. Let alone knowing of anyone he cared about to harm them in the first place.

I think lots of his family getting killed by the voltares ie some of his brothers if im correct mightve blinded him through the war and abit afterwards and then the prime songs kinda kept it going and enabled it but obviously not enough for him not to kill sen

_S T A F F_
7:50 *casually quotes the prologue *
8:20 where did you get this scene from?
8:27 EXCUSE ME WHA- what have you done to my favourite character lol
9:20 The one moment of character development Thalleous has lol
10:13 am I the only one who wonders how Thalleous would react if he knew Senn found out and is the Voltaris _Master_ at that lol
11:15 The burst of nostalgia I had seeing S1 E1 again lol
11:33 "approximately one beautifully animated montage later" lol
12:04 "old champion" I think you mean *_OLD MAN_*
12:56 Thalleous in a nutshell:
13:21 holy songs this looks so different with his history as context lol
13:52 And Senn matured by himself lol
14:30 SOMEONE MAKE THIS DUDE MEET IGNEOUS
14:42 LOL
14:57 SOMEHOW SENN HAS BETTER INSTINCTS NOT TO LEAVE ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPONS IN ARDONIA WITH A DRUG DEALER EVEN THOUGH THALLEOUS LITERALLY TRUSTS NO ONE WHAT
15:24 he's just being the embodiment of "rethinks life choices"
15:50 SoW would be very different if he did tell him
15:59 that's something that I always point out when someone says Thalleous lied, he didn't, he just left out the information that would straight up tell Senn he's Voltaris, he told as much as he could without revealing it. This is not to say he was right to not tell Senn, he shouldn't have done so but he didn't straight up lie either
17:09 WAIT ANOTHER SENN AND INGRESSUS PARALLEL WHAT
17:20 Gee, I wonder why /s
18:55 Tygren should consider competing in the Olympics lol
19:05 I think now's a good time to mention that I'm kinda desensitised to Thalleous' death. I honestly have no idea what to think of him and the connection I had to him when I first watched SoW is gone. Idk
19:19 Didn't Ingressus also drop his sword before he died? Huh, weird
20:02 it's kinda weird how Thalleous indirectly helped the Voltaris live through Senn lol
21:00 I never thought of Thalleous as the rocket launcher for the main Ardoni arc lol
21:52 This is the one thing that no one is arguing about Thalleous was 100% correct doing this, which is not usual for him
22:18 Senn is the living embodiment that Voltaris are not necessarily evil lol
23:09 Good point
23:16 Oh boy here we go
23:35 Senn really feels like a stand in for the audience sometimes lol
24:03 WHY DID YOU HAVE TO USE THE SONG GUN THINGY AS THE VIDEO FOR THAT
24:41 This show has the worst positive feedback loop imaginable lol
25:54 Poor blacksmith Galleous
26:19 OH MY SONGS WE'VE BEEN OVERLOOKING THIS
26:50 and then there's S3 Senn whose existing squarely between those two extremes. Something I think about a lot is how does Senn see Thalleous after everything? On one hand the mentor who raised him in his childhood and was a momentary break from Osivian's strictly rules, and on the other the monster he saw from Ingressus' perspective. Having both those experiences at the same time has got to take a toll on someone because of just how contradictory they are.
27:45 The are both products of their circumstances
28:09 Same lol
28:53 and the thing about Senn is how we were all conditioned to think the Voltaris are all evil, only to find out that the character we've been following the whole time _was Voltaris themselves_ lol
29:34 And the person who does has blood from the Voltaris, holy hell the writing in this story is nuts. Senn's always lived outside the norm, and that's what allows him to change it. ALMRAK YOU GENIUS
31:10 OUR PEA SALESMAN
31:20 That stuff doesn't hold a candle to SoW lol
31:45 WE BELIEVE THAT TIME IS COMING AGAIN!!!!
I always love reading your thoughts haha, i was wondering when somebody would point out the cursed baby Senn hahaha
@@CK-VoltarisI have fun writing my thoughts! Senn's my favourite character, I was obligated to point out the cursed child. I was actually fixing some things right now.
The moment you went 29:35 my mind went to that one Almrak line and then my brain went "isn't it weird that the one person who actually changes the norm is the one who also has blood _not_ from the four clans? Maybe that's why they could change the norm because they could see the problem within it" And holy songs Almrak was more right than I thought he could be
@@VegaTheLyra This is a little random but do you have discord or an account somewhere i could dm you to ask a quick SoW question?
@@CK-Voltaris I don't have discord but you can ask here if you like
@@VegaTheLyra It was about a video I’m planning on making that I’d maybe like your input on if you would have been ok with that, if not then no worries
Im rlly happy that i stayed in the fandom,we will returned, btw love the video
I am late but this video delivered as the analysis of Ingressus.
Must have been a lot of work, good job : ]
This is truly phenomenal CK Voltaris. I can see how much knowledge you have in SOW in the Ardoni. Truly well done I look forward to more!
It continues to amaze me how good the plot is for a Minecraft animation. Great video as always.
GREAT analysis! I can see you use all possible clips of songs of war XD
Wow. I was so happy when I found this video. It's been a long time since there was so much good SoW content and I'd love to see more. In my opinion, Galleous is a really interesting character as well and it would be cool to explore his personality and background more.
(I also immediately thought of the Protisium Prime when I watched the Minecraft movie trailer xD)
I could watch this all day, and I will, on loop, while I work, so I can fully understand a minecraft character.
Yooo I didn't know you posted this this is dope
I LOVE this. Your character analysis videos give me hope irl. Songs of War makes up most of my love for fantasy, and its awesome to see what an impact it's had on others. I really hope you do more of these videos, maybe of Senn, Lucan or Abbigail.
I have one question, how can I join the SoW community?
@@aquan3315 Thanks so much!! I guess just by commenting on videos you’re technically in the SoW community, there’s no way to officially “join” as far as I know lol
AAAH YESS the fav cool uncle fr!!! Finally some epic analisis including moralities of the show, amazing work!! Ur analysis are always so great >:D can't wait for next time!! /vvvpos
I would like to see a songs of war analysis of the necrolord/Xan Voltaris since we haven't seen or heard much about him and it would be fun to explore his character a bit more
this is so good. 🎉🎉🎉 looking forward to anotherr SOW analysis!
Nice i was hopeing for achillean but im happy that u did thalleous
Been waiting for this since the deathsinger analysis 🎉
Im glad to hear more songs of war videos are coming sadly I won’t watch this video because I haven’t seen any fan made versions of season 2 or 3 since I have been hoping for an official version and I would like my first experience of the full story to be the official version
We finally have someone else who make videos like this on songs of war
Very beautiful story 💙
i love watching people still carrying on the legacy of songs of war, i really wish from the bottom of my heart that the original studio would make a chapter 2 or whatever it would be called
Wow,i've been waiting for this since the Ingressus analysis, i am sure this will be detailed
In terms of characters to analyse, I think Abigail or Kiyoshi would be good ones:
Abigail has to bear the burden of a fallen order while simultaneously grappling with losses, lessons and frankly - life experience (or lack there of in season 1s case)
And Kiyoshi, poor guy put every ounce of effort he had into defending Felden and it still wasn't enough
I dunno, both of them earned a spot on the top 5 SoW characters if you ask me
Yoooo im actually so excited for this!
8:36 also where did u find this animation?
@@TheRealBonesYT It’s by PlasmaSpace Studios
Such high qualiy for such a small audience... good job :)
In summary: Thalleous is racist but sometimes not racist
But seriously, this is an amazing video, it’s impressive how much detail you were able to cover given how not much information was known about his past
YESSS! Been waiting since Ingressus' analysis. First comment, yeaaah!
That's another cool analysis! Now I have another amazing thing to watch over and over again for at least a week!!!
Also, that's just a thought, but maybe you could do Senn's analysis?
Wow this is just so amazing great analysis
I just watched yesterday your analysis about ingressus im more than happy to watch another episode. Sorry if my English isn’t perfect.
i think the reason why thalleous had shown mercy to sen was that the prime songs were no longer with him for a long time.
But I do agree that Thalleous probably would have won as you said, just maybe a closer fight than we think, or at least that's my headcanon
this is amazing! thank you! ❤
8:34 CK... You have got to tell me where you found this animation. Plus, good to see that ya did another character analysis 😊.
Sorry, it's just that SENN LOOKS SO SMOL. RIA TOOOOO 😭😭

i love these kinda videos

Why do i see Thalleous Ani (star wars) just in a different universe if things had been different
Also idk why but Thalleous reminds me an bit about Gabriel from Ultrakill, atleast their morality seems similar to me lol
Fantastic video! Do you know where I can find the animated extra scenes of Thalleous and Ingressus' tournament?
@@Wowslegendsfan Thank you! That animation is fan made by TheSnakeAnimator, it’s called the champion tournament

He did for awhile after the war didn't he? Hunting them down wherever he could find em
yooo finalllyyyy
Thalleous was secretly evil this can bring tears to some eyes
Day 2 of asking Please do an analysis of Achillean!!! ❤❤❤
Who made the animations that weren’t from the main series. They were smooth
Talented fan animators made those, their usernames are listed in the description!
@ yea I saw that after I posted. Great work to all those animators
Saying that Thalleous killed to protect his loved ones is alittle bit of a stretch but ok.
@ ohh yeah you meant him as a champion when he killed Ingressus’ dad and other Voltarisc before the Great War?
