- After Brad Carter and his bride-to-be Brittney had to cancel their wedding due to COVID-19, they took all the snacks meant for guests’ goodie bags and put them on their front porch for the workers delivering their gift registry items. The Chicago couple’s gesture led to some heartwarming moments that were captured on their doorbell camera. They left the baskets of treats on their front porch with a sign: “We appreciate what you do this time of year. Please help yourself to some holiday cheer.” #InsideEdition

Bruh that’s so true, I be having 200 plus stops and most of the time around this year I’m always fighting for more daylight, I can do 200 plus stops in 5-6 hours bc I’m running them, if I don’t run them it’s going to take 8plus hours

I got to know the Driver, when I worked for a Law Firm. I would ask him if he needed something to drink. The Firm had sodas and water.

I’m a Amazon driver and we really do appreciate these snacks people leave out for us and thank you notes we have a hard schedule and don’t have time to get food and eat so please people if you see this it won’t hurt to leave a thank you for delivery drivers I’m not asking everyone but it can change our whole mood
To take what could be seen as symbols of sadness (a postponed wedding) and turn it into holiday cheer is just a testament to people's kindness. Very sweet story.

Not only did they treat the delivery people. But they cancelled their wedding because of the pandemic. So many selfish people don’t cancel the wedding which has spread the virus my respect for them is through the roof.

This is GREATLY appreciated! My sugar was low and I felt like passing out and a home had snacks and it helped a lot! Small acts make huge differences.
As a mail carrier it means so much when people simply say we appreciate you that alone brings a smile to my face especially during this time but really love getting a snack cause getting in at 5 and going until everything is delivered we don’t have a lunch break although I might sneak a sandwich or taco in between locations. Great people loved this story.
Finally some bright news during these rough times.

I know a gentlemen who worked for UPS for over 35 years. He devoted 12-16 hours (don’t forget about those holiday hours!) 5-6 days a week for 35 years. He suffered from back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, and etc. He’s had multiple surgeries because of the wear and tear that this type of job does to the human body. It might seem like an easy job or one you wouldn’t expect to be so hard, physically, but you’d be surprised how many retired employees suffer from lifelong injuries from the wear and tear!
Next time you complain about a package being late remember the body aches these people go through to get you your package!

My mom was a mail carrier for 14 years so I know first hand that they don’t get to stop for food or drinks while they’re out on the route. I remember being with her on her route one day & this lady had bottled water out by the mailbox in a cooler for her. It was middle of summer in about 100° weather & that simple act of kindness just made her day..It’s the things like this that give people hope for humanity.
Did they order tons of stuff online just so the delivery people can see their leftover food? That’s some next level kindness right there

I try to catch our Amazon Drivers to at least thank them for all of their hard work. I realized that, unlike our Postman, UPS, FedEx drivers, who have a dedicated route, Amazon Drivers often do not. This gives me a great idea to give them something to show my appreciation for all they go through.

I tried to do something like that, it was over 100 degrees and I left some water and Gatorade in a cooler but the mail person was suspicious and didn’t end up taking anything and a homeless guy walked by and took the whole thing including the cooler. I wasn’t that upset because he probably really needed it more than the mail person but he could have asked.
