Nate telling Aaron "You're being unrealistic in all this" right after declaring an Emu defeats a lion because he has snuck in an arsenal of "John Wick weapons" in his neck is peak Nateland material!
THANK YOU! After the PINGUIN debacle, I can't believe they let him get away with that. It's like the way my husband says CARDINAL. He always puts a D at the end. CARDINALD. 🤣
We went from reflecting on a huge dream come true for Nate, which had lots of us Folks tearing up I'm sure, to debating whether or not a barn owl can take an eagle. This is why we're here, Folks! Love it!
The look that Brian and Dusty gave each other when Aaron said “natural selection” was one of the most beautiful moments of friendship in all of Nateland
57:14 - Dusty saying, “I think that’s The Message” in response to Bible for Dummies has got to be one of THE best comments to ever be said on this podcast. What an incredible take, Dusty.
Just now my two year old daughter was playing in the bath while I was doing my hair (I always listen to the show while we do this on Wednesday mornings.) She says “mama, I want to get out, ya know what I mean?” 😂 thanks Dusty, we’re definitely havin’ a good time.
Nate's perception of Polar Bears appears to have been significantly influenced by the Coke commercials. Polar Bears are bigger and more aggressive than Grizzlies. All you need to know is the bear safety rhyme: If it's brown, lay down. If it's black, fight back. If it's white, goodnight.
Glad someone else noticed. I wanted so badly for the other guys to laugh like 20 seconds late when it finally registered that he was likely referencing Chester Cheetah.
I have five siblings and "Animal Fights" was always a VERY serious debate topic on road trips and coming back from church. One of my brothers was our Encyclopedia when we had questions about the size and capabilities of the animals, he spent so much time reading about animals we didn't question his assessment. This episode was so much fun. Not sure if it will change anyone's mind regarding the platypus v. anteater matchup, but the platypus actually has spikes on its hind legs that have venomous glands. Not sure if it would kill an anteater but it would definitely do some damage.
My 19 year old daughter and I took in quite a few Braves games in Atlanta and then drove through the Smoky Mountains to Johnson City, TN to see our favorite 4 comedians! It's our first time ever being in Tennessee (we are from Utah). Thanks for an amazing experience at ETSU and all 4 of you absolutely CRUSHED IT! You may not realize how universal all of your material is, but you reach the younger generations, us in the middle, the older generation and even inmates apparently. But it is a gift to reach all ages. Thanks again for a weekend that my daughter and I will remember forever! We would love for meet and greets to come back, I know a lot of people would love to meet all of you in person and get some pics. Thanks for all that you all do! And we just bought our tickets to SEPT 30th in SALT LAKE CITY! Derek and Grace Cullimore
First time listener, long time caller. My son and I had a great time traveling to Nashville this past weekend to be part of the record breaking audience. The Roman Colosseum Animal Fight Bracket is definitely the most ridiculous segment on the podcast by far, yet I cannot wait for next week. Really enjoyed when researching Platypus fighting, no one mentions that fact Google suggested "Platypus venom". Couldn't help but to look it up myself to find out that the venom is "powerful enough to cause serious impairment to the victim, which can lead to temporary paralysis". Maybe long enough to knock the anteater senseless with his duck bill. Keep up the good work fellas!
My life goal is to only hear bracket arguments on Nateland from here in out. This was the best episode ever. From Dusty excited about the bear vs piranha matchup, Aaron pulling up a second grader's interesting facts about emus, Benjamin Button pretending like Nate is not the most famous person in his phone, and Nate going from vocal abilities in an emu to carrying a Nextel to hiding John Wick's full arsenal... was embarrassingly, the best time of my month. I got home... and immediately made my wife and kids turn their movie off to watch this. Not the best time of their month, but I thank you gentlemen.
Congrats on the 100k subscribers! I've been with Nateland since you had 43k subscribers, and seeing your number grow each week has been very exciting. it is definitely deserved gentlemen. next stop is 1 million, let's go bear!
I stumbled across Nate's The Tennessee Kid Netflix special because of COVID. Everything was shut down, so my wife and daughters would find something to watch as a family several nights a week because we couldn't get out and do anything. We loved that show so much that it inspired me to seek out Nate's The Standups show and then to find and follow all of his social media. I specifically remember when Nate announced that he was starting the podcast, and as I recall it was created because he couldn't tour due to the COVID lockdowns. I was excited about the podcast and have been here since episode one. The podcast introduced me to Brian, Aaron, and now Dusty, all of which I have traveled to see live (or will see Dusty in Knoxville next month). I even made my wife tell me when Nate's dad was coming to perform at her school so I could take off work and see his show. I have seen Nate live three times and have had a few comments read on the show. My wife and daughter have even had their picture on an episode. Nate has recently talked a lot about his plans for the Nateland Universe, which got me wondering about the podcast. Was it always a part of the bigger Nateland Universe plan, or was it born out of necessity because of COVID? I feared that it was just a COVID necessary thing and might disappear once life returned to normal. However, it seems to be a fairly significant factor in Nate's success and certainly in the success of the others. So do we have to worry that the podcast may come to an end in the near future now that life has returned to normal and things are exploding for Nate and the others?
I am the mom of 4 boys (12 years to 22 years old) . I swear I have been part of more conversations like this "Animal Fights" podcast than I could have ever imagined happening in my lifetime! I snorted while laughing so many times because things kept getting funnier and funnier. The Emu with a gun🤣 ! You guys are such a pleasure to listen to, and I can't believe you are finally coming to Idaho Falls!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Only a few minutes into this week's pod and I'm reminded of why I dig you fellas so much. I realize that what makes you so enjoyable is not the good-natured banter, the verbal jousting, or the admirable transparency, or human emotions. Just as you have done, we listeners benefit from your hard work and life experiences. Yet, the source of it all is not wrapped up in what you are but in whose you are. And many of us know Him. Never forget the source and we all will be blessed. (I hope Nate reads this because I want to hear him decifer all these words.)
I just want to say thank you for this amazing podcast. The job I’ve worked at for the past 16 years is going out of business. We were given very short notice so its been an extremely stressful time for me. This weeks podcast has definitely brightened my spirits. Having four men talk about an emu consealing a gun in its throat pocket was the laugh I didn’t know I needed. Keep up the funny and thank you all for making this below average American, feeling average again.
not one to usually comment on here and I feel weird getting sentimental after listening to my favorite comedy podcast haha, but I had to share this message after listening to this episode. I'm a long-time Nate fan ever since I saw him perform at Clusterfest in 2017 and have followed his journey since. I haven't listened to Nateland in a while due to work and life, but I had a bad day and just needed to smile so I put on the latest episode. I choked up and started crying when I heard Nate talk about achieving this "crazy" dream he had for 20 years. I've been a lifelong dancer but never pursued it as a career due to the need for stable income, but recently I've tried to give it another go because I didn't want to have regrets in life. Hearing Nate talk about reaching this crazy lifelong goal made me so happy, inspired, and emotional because I really relate to that feeling. It gives me hope that maybe it's not too late for me and that I can still someday achieve my crazy dance dreams. Congratulations, Nate! Your hard work got you here and you totally deserve this moment, and thank you for sharing about it with us, because it only inspires me to keep going. Much love to all you Folks
Golf Scrambles I started listening to the podcast at episode 100. I finally caught up and started listening to the earlier podcasts. At the start of the Oklahoma episode, Nate talks about golf scrambles and the various range of player abilities. I must say Scrambles are the best tournaments. I remember playing with my ex-boss and he would rarely get out of the cart when it was his turn. Instead, he would just look at me and say “We Good?” I’m a decent golfer so he would just sit in the cart and drink a 12-pack of beer during the round. Often the only time he’d get out of the cart was to putt. During this time he would say “Do I have to do everything?” In other tournaments, I would play with my family. My dad is a horrible golfer, often topping the ball, chunking the ball, and even missing short puts. My catchphrase during these tourneys is “Glad you’re here.” However, it's all about having fun, so after Dusty joined the team I think I’ll just start saying “We’re Having a Good Time.” Love the podcast, Thanks
Hey, guys. I have been listening to Nate's standup since 2020, but have only recently started listening to this podcast. I loved it immediately, but didn't know why. Then, it struck me. The conversations, particularly the "Brian bashing" reminds me of my high school days. We had a friend like Brian nicknamed "Roses Man" because he would always talk about his Mom working at Roses. He tried to give each of us a nickname, but it did not stick because, well, he is "Roses Man." "Roses Man" was a great guy and friend. Thank you for reminding me of that friendship. Can't wait to see Nate in June and Dusty in November in Bowling Green, KY.
I like to think that someone who didn't watch this episode will see a picture of an emu beating a lion just for Nate to reply "oh it's because the emu had a gun". Now I have high hopes for the platypus with nunchucks
I drove all the way to Nashville from Minnesota to see that show at Bridgestone, and it was worth every penny and every second. Breakdust, Aaron, and Dusty all murdered, and Nates dad almost stole the show. He was amazing. I wasn't sure how Nate was going to be able to follow all of that, but WOW!!! Nate, you killed. Fantastic show!
The absurdity of Nate's rants about animal's prowess of confrontations, reminds me of the debates my two sons use to have. My sons have moved away, so it's like having them around watching the Podcast. Thanks for the smiles!!!
Congratulations on the awesome show at Bridgestone. I am really happy for all 4 of you. Your podcast is one of my favorite things to watch and I look forward to it every week. Thank you for the laughs and God bless!
So, so happy for you!!!! Well deserved for sure!! I appreciate how much your 'folks' mean to you! That is refreshing! Wish we could purchase a DVD of that night at Bridgestone with the whole crew for those who weren't able to be there. We had the pleasure of seeing you in Pittsburgh...it was a great night and we laughed so much! Please stay you! THAT'S what brought you here....and we are all thankful for the fun you bring to our lives!
I just recommended this podcast to 4 Nate fans who had no idea it existed. After listening to this weeks’ podcast, I regret that I didn’t tell them to give it some time before you give up on it. I hope I can see them soon to let them know to hang in there. I’m highly entertained but newcomers might be taken aback😂😂
so many unheard or overlooked one liners from these guys this episode. lions roar shooting off the emus gun in its mouth , emus out squatting elephants 😂
As an avid birder and lover of ornithology, I'm beyond proud of Dusty's bird knowledge. From his immediate identification of the Barn Owl to the tidbit about the Bald Eagle being a scavenger, he is totally right. I personally would love a future episode on birds! P.S. Don't underestimate owls. Their talons are brutal.
Hello folks! Another great episode. Seeing the clip of Nate "back where I come from" and hearing him talk about it here was heartwarming, and it made me think about other Tennessee songs. One of my favorites is Tennessee Jed by the grateful dead, which I think has some nateland vibes. Lyrics describe the hapless adventures of the title character, as terrible things happen to him, presumably as he is away from his home in Tennessee. A rich man steps on his head, another guy gives him a black eye and kicks his dog. He falls down the stairs, gets ripped off by a slot machine, etc. And every time misfortune strikes, he is reminded that he better get back to Tennessee, ain't no place I'd rather be. The dead weren't really a country band per se, but they had a ton of great country songs, including this one. It never made it on a studio album, but here is the most well known version, from the Europe '72 live album. I know I'm not the only deadhead out there in nateland. Dusty maybe? Anyway, love is love and Nate fade away (~);} open.spotify.com/track/1ae0SQx8MpBXo6QsmrpsEj?si=A-STjmt5RU6BwDQMxt37bg
It’s ok Nate, I cried for you when you were talking about the show. Congratulations!! Coming to see you in Greenville, SC in May. Bringing my mom for Mother’s Day and can’t wait! Haven’t told her yet we are going. So excited for her reaction. Love you and all the guys on the podcast. I look forward to watching every week. Keep up the amazing work!
Bag or sack Your bag or sack conversation reminded me of a trip I took to Australia about 20 yrs ago. I was a sophomore in college and went to visit my boyfriend who was doing a travel abroad semester in Melbourne (which they pronounce Mel-bun - no one here knows that, so I think this will give you extra points Nate!) Anyway, we had planned out 2 weeks of sightseeing and we decided to take an overnight train from Melbourne to Sydney. There was a little convenience store at the train depot, so we loaded up on snacks for the overnight trip. However, when we checked out they just acted like we could easily carry the 10 different items we just purchased… so I said, “Could we get a sack to put these in?” To which I received a completely bewildered look from the cashier, who after pausing finally said, “You mean a bag? Here we reserve ‘sacks’ for things like horse feed!” I always thought these two terms were interchangeable, but apparently not for Aaron or the Australians! Thanks for all the laughs guys!
Nate really came alive debating for the underdog story. The whole time I listened to the emu argument, all I thought about was the debate scene from Billy Madison where Adam Sandler goes on about the little puppy that could. Then the host says… “At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.” The joy of this podcast makes my week every week
Any chance we can get a 2-on-2 Nateland basketball video going? I imagine it would look like the basketball episode on “The Office” but it could be comedy gold! Love the pod, God bless, Micah B
Aaron, your quick off the cuff comment about the polar bear drinking a coke showcases your comedic talent! Laughed out loud over here! I remember all those polar bear coke commercials 😂
Glad I stayed home from work today and watched this Podcast instead of listening. The amount of video references would have been hard to take in while driving 😄
If you 4 were all 'old Italians' and yelling these animal debates, it would make me think of my dad & his brothers back in the day. 😂😂😂 So funny guys! You're all the best!
I came to this podcast because Dusty is my favorite comedian of all time and I watch all his stuff. Nate is obviously a legend and I've watched all his specials 4 times. A year ago, I watched Breakfasts' stuff and really enjoyed it, super funny. Then today... I watched Aarons pathological liar bit, and was really impressed. He is really really funny. I had no idea! I mean, I enjoy him on the podcast, but his standup blew me away! Very very good! Now I love the pod even more! (Aaron, can I get that $50 now)
I’m saying it……best episode of all time. The sincerity and passion behind your animal attack debates were unprecedented. Enjoyed seeing you at Bridgestone even though getting through security was a BEAR!
Hey Bear! I just wanted to let Nate know that he got it right, Idaho did just bring back death by firing squad. Something I found interesting about a firing squad, one of the shooters receives a gun with a blank. This ensures that no one in the group is able to know for sure which of them fired the fatal round. I hope you guys can make it out to Boise sometime, we'd love to come see you! We’re havin’ a good time!
This might be my new favorite episode. In 2001 I was a waiter at Ruby Tuesday and one week the main topic of conversation among the restaurant staff was animal fights. Polar bear vs. Tiger was BY FAR the most heavily debated matchup, with pretty much a 50/50 split in opinions. Was glad to see it caused as much debate on the Pod, forcing a tiebreaker vote from the crew.
It was the most childish response to a very valid point, and it’s the only response that could have possibly worked. I would love to see Nate do improv because he’s REAL quick on his feet.
What a great episode! I highly recommend posing the animal vs animal questions to Chat GPT or some AI engine. I think you will be surprised at how good some arguments are. Keep up the good work!
Notre Dame: "People call them Orca all the time". Also Notre Dame (With complete confidence) - "Out of the womb an Emu is scrapping and fighting." Both were said with the same level of confidence that Nate has when he sits during an interview. So much so, that I signed up for Quora just to check whether birds do, in fact, have wombs. This podcast rounds out any education out there from reading to biology. Thanks so much for doing this essential service for all of us!!!
Hello Folks. Best moment for me with this pod. Got in the car with the wife and kids. Remembered I had about 15 mins left on this episode. Put the pod on and caught in right as Nate is explaining that the Emu had a gun... We're apologizing to the family... The look on my wife's face 😂. Priceless! She finally broke and asked, "Are they being serious?" To which I replied, "Yeah!" She ended with, "I don't know why like listening to junk." Thank you guys for the best moment ever! 😅
I love this debate! (Emu has a gun, animals sign waivers 😂) It's like playing would you rather with your kids and trying to reason with a 7 year old. I want to make this a road trip game this summer!
Once the Emu got a Gun I was uncontrollably laughing at how ridiculous things got so quickly.... this was the dumbest and the funniest debate I've ever heard about anything, thankyou!
I've never thanked Breakfast more for an ad read than in this episode. Butterbrain saved the day and this pod. Please give Nate a 5 minute clock for all rants and side quests. I love what Nate is growing, and I like hearing about it, but I'm here for the laughter.
I so wish I could’ve seen you guys at Bridgestone! The show was on my birthday but I couldn’t afford the trip out to Nashville. My brother and I will be at your show in Tulsa Nate! After that I will have seen Dusty and Nate, hopefully Bates and Arron soon after!
1:56:28 “You don’t live that long not beating-off emu’s.” 😂🤣 Dusty for the quote of the year!!
And then Aaron does a double take at him lol
And Aaron saying Plastic-sack 😂
😅😂🤣
Demonetized 😂😂
1:57:00 and Breakfast saying “it would blow the emu…’s fur back” 30 seconds later and Aaron letting out that puff of air. I caught that too 😂
“He’s laughing because he’s fighting an emu in the next round.” is an all timer line for this podcast. Well done, Breakfast.
I cannot stop laughing at Aaron repeatedly calling it a "woof" instead of a wolf 😂
I love every time the guys don't catch when Nate is referencing one of his jokes and he says "I'm a stand up comedian. I got this joke where...."
Nate is becoming one of the greatest of all time. And he did it clean, its wild. Good for you man.
Nate telling Aaron "You're being unrealistic in all this" right after declaring an Emu defeats a lion because he has snuck in an arsenal of "John Wick weapons" in his neck is peak Nateland material!
Y’all just let Aaron keep calling it a “woof”
“A woof pack, if you will.”
I'm on team woof for sure
That's a Notre Dame education right there lmao. 😂
THANK YOU! After the PINGUIN debacle, I can't believe they let him get away with that. It's like the way my husband says CARDINAL. He always puts a D at the end. CARDINALD. 🤣
It was making me CRAZY. I have a high bar for Aaron.
We went from reflecting on a huge dream come true for Nate, which had lots of us Folks tearing up I'm sure, to debating whether or not a barn owl can take an eagle. This is why we're here, Folks! Love it!
Haha! Yes.
Note to self, if I ever have to fight Dusty, cornering things seems to be central to his strategy 🤣
The fact the both Aaron and Nate mentioned penguins as part of a polar bear’s diet is hilarious. Only about 8,000+ miles separate the two
Did you catch that Nate also said tigers are fighters because they have to fight off lions? 😂
As a Canadian biologist I wanted to cry during this episode
Yoooooo, Aaron’s “do you think a polar bear just sits around all day drinking coke?” deserved at LEAST a nod of appreciation! That was good, man.
The look that Brian and Dusty gave each other when Aaron said “natural selection” was one of the most beautiful moments of friendship in all of Nateland
Glad someone else noticed it 😅😅
1:30:50. Beautiful.
57:14 - Dusty saying, “I think that’s The Message” in response to Bible for Dummies has got to be one of THE best comments to ever be said on this podcast. What an incredible take, Dusty.
I caught this too. Such a hilarious, underrated joke.
Just now my two year old daughter was playing in the bath while I was doing my hair (I always listen to the show while we do this on Wednesday mornings.) She says “mama, I want to get out, ya know what I mean?” 😂 thanks Dusty, we’re definitely havin’ a good time.
100k subscribers!!!! 🎉 love you all Natelanders!
This is THE MOST senseless, unimaginable, hilarious episode to date!!! 😂😂😂 full of confusion and laughter. Please keep this going! Pt.2??
We need a Part 2.
Can't believe I have to wait an entire week for them to discover that a platypus can shoot poison out of its feet
Right?! I was shocked there was no mention of their venom... hopefully next week
“Emu has a pouch used for communication”
Dusty: “oh trash talk”😂😂😂
How did that gold go unnoticed?
We love you all!
Woof😂
How did how hot you are go unnoticed? 😝
Dusty: “The cheetah is sitting around eating chips” 😂😂😂
Glad someone else noticed. I wanted so badly for the other guys to laugh like 20 seconds late when it finally registered that he was likely referencing Chester Cheetah.

Who knew Nate was so confident in his animal fight analysis. This is the most articulate he's ever been. He convinced me on almost every one

Brownie has mastered the transition into Ad reads, I wonder what his aspirational dreams are for the future
you know what else is in your future? AG1
@@brockmeade4450 😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂
You boys are a hoot!!! These animal discussions are pure gold!
I can’t say enough how good Brian is getting at running this podcast. I’m sure he was a valuable member of the team at channel 5. Such a good job.
Omg, I am DYING. The amount of creative extrapolation in this episode is priceless! Thanks guys. I’m a huge fan.

Aaron looking at Bedbug and saying “Are you serious dude?” when talking about sacks made me laugh so hard 59:44

Bad Luck Bates’ advertisement segues are slick, and are quickly becoming a hidden gem of this show.

Not sure why, but I could listen to this conversation for ever.
Loved the animal debates. I’d like to see this spin off into its own podcast, like Taste Buds for animal fights. 😂
Picturing Breakfast as a werewolf and I literally spit out my coffee laughing 4:45
I like to think that someone who didn't watch this episode will see a picture of an emu beating a lion just for Nate to reply "oh it's because the emu had a gun". Now I have high hopes for the platypus with nunchucks
Can't believe they didn't bring up anything about the platypus having venomous spurs on their hind legs. Starting to think this is a rigged match!
Such a fun 'sode! The audio and video/coloring is on POINT too. I appreciate the behind-the-scenes. Excellent work. Keep it up!
nateland episode topics we didn’t know we needed
Nateland Podcast...what a great team!
Congratulations on the full house! So excited to hear about your weekend! Love the show, it’s so fun to sit and share the fun. ❤
The crushing moment, Aaron, tears apart your mom’s joke.
And if an eagle gets in your house, it's his house now.
Breakfast’s segues into ad reads are reaching Jedi-level mastery at this point. Truly a thing to behold.
This episode came out of nowhere and took the podcast to a whole other level!! I’m talking like Breakfast at dinner time! GAME CHANGER
Finally get to see Nate in NYC!!!! Got my tickets at Radio City Music Hall!! Next tickets I but will be for the Garden!
Dusty Slay is a gem! When's the special? And it sounds like Bates got that Mickey Mantle gene after midnight
Hello folks! Another great episode. Seeing the clip of Nate "back where I come from" and hearing him talk about it here was heartwarming, and it made me think about other Tennessee songs. One of my favorites is Tennessee Jed by the grateful dead, which I think has some nateland vibes. Lyrics describe the hapless adventures of the title character, as terrible things happen to him, presumably as he is away from his home in Tennessee. A rich man steps on his head, another guy gives him a black eye and kicks his dog. He falls down the stairs, gets ripped off by a slot machine, etc. And every time misfortune strikes, he is reminded that he better get back to Tennessee, ain't no place I'd rather be. The dead weren't really a country band per se, but they had a ton of great country songs, including this one. It never made it on a studio album, but here is the most well known version, from the Europe '72 live album. I know I'm not the only deadhead out there in nateland. Dusty maybe? Anyway, love is love and Nate fade away (~);}

That segue from Nate talking about his dreams was so smooth Nate though Bates was adding to his point. That was absolutely hilarious.
I knew as soon as Bryer started talking, he was setting something up
This emu conversation is the best thing I've heard ever!
I'm so excited!! I've been listening to the podcast from the beginning. You're coming to Tucson and I can't wait to see you live!!!❤❤❤
Bag or sack
Your bag or sack conversation reminded me of a trip I took to Australia about 20 yrs ago.
I was a sophomore in college and went to visit my boyfriend who was doing a travel abroad semester in Melbourne (which they pronounce Mel-bun - no one here knows that, so I think this will give you extra points Nate!)
Anyway, we had planned out 2 weeks of sightseeing and we decided to take an overnight train from Melbourne to Sydney. Here we reserve ‘sacks’ for things like horse feed!”
I always thought these two terms were interchangeable, but apparently not for Aaron or the Australians!
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
The joy of this podcast makes my week every week
"An emu's feathers can not be so soft." was an immediate LOL for me.
You guys represent the American dream and we love you for it!
1:52:00 when nate started saying the emu has a gun i started losing it, this is one of my favorite episodes ever good podcast guys!
Campaigning for a Nateland shirt: “With feathers that can not be so soft.” 😎
Any chance we can get a 2-on-2 Nateland basketball video going? I imagine it would look like the basketball episode on “The Office” but it could be comedy gold!
Love the pod, God bless,
Micah B
You know you're watching Nateland when you hear Nate say, "I'm comfortable taking the Emu's side." Love this!!
Aaron, your quick off the cuff comment about the polar bear drinking a coke showcases your comedic talent! Laughed out loud over here! I remember all those polar bear coke commercials 😂
Aaron saying Breakfast had a “fresh body” I feel is misinformation 😂 😂love it guys!
Glad I stayed home from work today and watched this Podcast instead of listening. The amount of video references would have been hard to take in while driving 😄
Seeing Dusty in Richmond, VA this weekend! 🎉
Talk all you want about the dream my friend. Proud of you!
If you 4 were all 'old Italians' and yelling these animal debates, it would make me think of my dad & his brothers back in the day. 😂😂😂
So funny guys!
Brian's Fabric segue was the best yet.
🎵Emu’s got a gun 🎵 😂😂
This might be my new favorite episode. In 2001 I was a waiter at Ruby Tuesday and one week the main topic of conversation among the restaurant staff was animal fights. Polar bear vs. Tiger was BY FAR the most heavily debated matchup, with pretty much a 50/50 split in opinions. Was glad to see it caused as much debate on the Pod, forcing a tiebreaker vote from the crew.
The Emu, “it’s automatic” joke was so great.
It was the most childish response to a very valid point, and it’s the only response that could have possibly worked. I would love to see Nate do improv because he’s REAL quick on his feet.
Just snagged my tickets to the Be Funny Tour when it hits Maine in October!
What a great episode! I highly recommend posing the animal vs animal questions to Chat GPT or some AI engine. I think you will be surprised at how good some arguments are. Keep up the good work!
Brickyard with that ad transition. Put that in a top 10 list somewhere.
Priceless!
She finally broke and asked, "Are they being serious?"
To which I replied, "Yeah!"
She ended with, "I don't know why like listening to junk."
Thank you guys for the best moment ever! 😅
I love this debate! (Emu has a gun, animals sign waivers 😂) It's like playing would you rather with your kids and trying to reason with a 7 year old. I want to make this a road trip game this summer!
If anyone saw Nate on the Tastebuds podcast they would have known he’d be good at these arguments for the animal brackets. Solid stuff!
Yes! I’m liking Bates more and more - his favorite Bible transliteration (NASB) is indeed the best 🥰
I love these arguments, SO much!
Also feel like Dusty could walk out at any moment.
Listener since episode one aired and let me just say…best episode yet. Great work, couldn’t be a bigger fan.
