We just bought a 2022 Powerboost with 28,000 and were currently driving 1000 miles to our new home. It had 19.1 MPG when I bought it last week and now we're at 23.4 MPG on this trip. Blue Cruise has been a godsend but it is not as good as supercruise. Songar I have zero complaints. The 612-mile range on my first full-up went to 669 on my second. Great power and torque.
You hold the current record for the most miles on a PB that I've heard. These engines should go for well over 300k if you keep the OCI under 5k. And hopefully you keep it out of the salt. Carry on, sir.
Just wanted to thank you for all the great content you’re creating. Top notch explanations with all the helpful details. I’m waiting on my 24 Powerboost Lariat BAP and your content is helping me set my expectation and understanding the car very well. Great stuff man. Keep it up.
Fantastic review and mods video, as always. Really appreciate all your F-150 videos. Definitely planning to get one and do your recommended mods. Cheers. Ben
Another great video, thanks. I have 18k on my '22 Powerboost Mine was ordered XL but Ford to fill the order at the time down built a XLT so mine has some parts from the XLT, Rear lights, parts of dash and programing, Oh and Vin. I put the ignition key in and removed start button system. I have some of your Mods CAT shield, Stahlbus drain plug, Oil catch can ,LED lights all around, dash cam. I added a dip stick to transmission, Bambi bar, Revolution 4 bed cover and more. My numbers are about same for cost and mpg, Have driven 600 miles highway on a tank. Have not had the battery replaced but will get that monitor now. My oil/filter changes are at 3000, Happy with the ride, except in heavy traffic creeping is hard, no power to move up in electric too much if engine kicks in. Boggs down rolling through a yield sign and accelerating. Do get drive shaft knock time to time. Dealer couldn't simulate. Nor fix my trip odometers from resetting to zero before 1000 miles. Had 2 recalls rear wiring harness and wiper motors. Turning radius is poor, hard to pull in a parking space. The collision alert system can distract from the situation. Still all in all, I like the purchase.
Great video! I have a 22 F150 2.7 and I had a battery issue also. It was always in battery save mode, which infuriated me, all winter. It worked fine when I initially bought the truck, but battery condition declined steadily. Finally took it to the dealer and explained what was happening and they replaced the battery. It has worked great ever since then. This is my first dive into AGM type batteries and I didn’t realize how expensive those batteries are. Luckily, the dealer said it was covered under the warranty and that the battery was bad. I wish I did get the 360 camera package, unfortunately it was part of a package. I had to get the tow package also and I did not want to spend an extra $2000 combined on top of my lariat cost. Overall, love the truck and good luck with your truck.
I have just over 8k on my 23. So far i am very happy. Little wishes and complaints but overall pretty happy. My milage is consistantly 18.5 but run with about 500lbs of tools in the bed at all times and i dont baby it :) When i want to ive achieved 22+ on shorter drives. Freeway is the worst. Maybe i need to drive slower.
I ordered my truck in 2021 as a 2021 but ended up with a 2022 Platinum PowerBoost. It is my fourth F150- the third one I purchased new. I have no complaints with the truck, really. I had the 10 speed transmission in the previous 2017 and it takes some getting used to as in the computer learning and how it applies it to the shift as you drive. I have also gotten the battery warning issue. I haven't replaced mine. My father load tested it and it tested fine so I have put it on a charger 3-4 times and it does fine. My drives to work each day were about two miles one way so there was no way to charge it while driving. My mods are, sprayed bed with my own rubber mat, the Truxedo bed cover (had three of them- great), I sold my UPR catch can system from my 2015. The 2022 has a port injector to clean that the 2015 did not. I gave my $600 system away. I got the FitCamX dash cam look is OEM, the fuel door upgrade piece, all weather mats, Splash guards, well well covers, and stubby antenna.
Solid video as usual! I really appreciate your attention to detail and all the work you put into these videos... just grab me a powerboost for my birthday in March... loving stock as is thus far... but eventually will want to do some things... probably protect the cat first
Love my '22 PB, Lariat 502A and am buying another one; my '24 PB is on order for a few months now. Best truck experience in 45 yrs of buying trucks. Thanks for your excellent content; can't find this anywhere else on the internet. I just ordered the same battery monitor.
Amazingly thorough and helpful review. Thank you. I could be wrong but a couple of your statements in the video makes me think this is your first truck (eg difficulty parking). If so, that may explain why you chose a plastic bed-liner over a spray-in. Those who have owned multiple trucks have learned that the plastic liners will eventually (3-5 yrs) release and even in place they allow moisture to accumulate behind them, which leads to rust you can’t see. Good spray-in liners don’t have this problem. The bed-liner of my 2002 F150, which I sold last year, was still in functional shape, with only a few minor dings. That’s 21 years. My 2011 looks even better (of course). But if you plan on trading or replacing in 3-5 years, the plastic liner won’t be an issue for you.
Thanks...actually second truck. First in a long time, and first as the "first owner." Last truck was a Ranger, so not a "real" truck lol. If my aluminum bed rusts, I'll be amazed.

Does anyone have a problem with your lockable tiedowns not fitting? They came with the truck in the new packaging and I also double-checked with Ford to see if they made another model and they don't. They only thing I can think to do is to use a file to make the slots larger.
Thanks for sharing this video with us, your subscribers. I installed the "Talons Garage Cat Protector/Skid Plate" on my 2023 Platinum Powerboost after having the truck for six months and after the first oil change. Every six months I do my own engine oil changes at home, but when I did the second oil change I made a huge mess cause the used engine oil would drain directly on top of the skid plate. Do you offer any solutions for preventing engine oil from draining directly over the skid plate when doing an oil change? Thank you.
When you changed out your AGM battery which brand did you use and why? Also, did you replace the smaller 12V battery located under the rear passenger side seat at the same time? Have you seen any issues in your research with that smaller accessory battery?
Hi Michael I did a whole video on the replacement battery decision: ua-cam.com/video/wVxYJUMkbNk/v-deo.html I did not replace the aux battery at that time; the only purpose of the aux battery is to stabilize the electronics during high-current engine cranking. I did not have any issues with instability like that, so I ignored it for now. I might test it a year or two down the line, especially if I see the control modules reset during cold weather or cold start events. cheers

I covered my reasoning for replacing it myself in a separate video. First, Ford will not replace a battery unless it throws an error code. Second, burning a day of my time just to hear them deny my request costs me much more than what a battery costs. Third, why go back to the same battery that was causing problems?
