Bought the 2021 Powerboost and love it. Its a perfect work truck and pays for itself on the job everyday then takes care of my family as the commuter. So glad I got it! Awesome video guys, thanks
Just purchased 23 lariat powerboost so far love it . I have owned a few nice trucks and so far this truck keeps smiling the longest. The newness just isn't wearing off as quick!
2022 Powerboost with 20,000 miles and still running strong with zero issues. Opted for the 7200 watt onboard generator, I have run my camper, home and job sites, freaking game changer!
@christ6177 Unfortunately, I don't have the answer to this. I feel like it's a factory option that is built in with software integration throughout the truck and other modules. I would highly doubt that it can be upgraded after.
Just got home with the 2024 F150 XLT 4x4 powerboost. Used primarily for towing, and with 570 ft lbs of torque, it will tow nicely! Looking forward to setting everything up and going anywhere!
I bought a 2021 Lariat package, ordered just how I wanted it. Just rolled past 50,000 miles, and have had no issues. Still crossing my fingers that this rolling computer doesn’t go confederate, but bought the extended warranty to cover bumper to bumper, just in case. Even carrying several hundred pounds of gear, it is still wickedly quick. Unladen, 5.6 seconds 0-60. Opted for the 7.2 kW gen unit. Can run a job site, my camper, or a small house. Bang & Olufson sound system is sweet, and work desk center console is super useful. Cruise control set at 60, 30 mpg. So far, has been a great truck.
Great work on the video! Informative and entertaining! Is the Powerboost Hybrid a true 4WD or is it an AWD? Take my current F150 out on the beach surf fishing and any replacement would need to be a true 4WD for this purpose
Great comment! Thanks! It is true 4wd as the electric motor is before the transmission and not after, so the rest of the drivetrain is like any other F-150.
A dealer has a '23 with 145 miles on it. Not sure if it was a return or manager daily driver for a bit. They are selling it as used and is 10k off sticker with an additional year extended warranty. It is tempting, but I don't know what issues the '23's have versus the '24's.
Bout to buy one of these. I’m nervous. Never bought a new truck before. A little concerned about the cost of repairs as stuff wears out… but I think I’m going to pull the trigger. Thanks for your video.
If you check out our Tucson video, we were discussing battery rebuild costs. Should only be around $1200 to rebuild 10 years or so down the road. The motor and inverter have capacitors and maybe a bearing. Enjoy your new truck! You'll love it.
great review of this vehicle. I beg to differ though on the pro trailer back up assist. It is a lot like green Ketchup...interesting marketing, but not worth a darn thing. I have that feature in my '22 Powerboost, but I can assure you it gets used even less than the one bottle of green Ketchup we ever bought....lol.... Great work though.
You can option the truck with a Max Trailer option on the Powerboost for a total of 12,400lb in 4wd or 12,700lb with 2wd. It actually has more torque than the normal 3.5L Ecoboost due to that extra electric motor.
@livewirereview must be an American fors thing. In canada you Cannot choose the max tow option for powerboost. If you want max tow you Must have the 5.0 or the ecoboost depending on axle ratio. You literally cannot choose max tow with powerboost on ford.ca
@livewirereview strange you Cannot choose max tow on either canada or us ford website with powerboost on any trim level. You mist have either ecoboost or 5.0 to choose max tow depending on axle ratio.
@eagle1hd That's odd. I wonder if that's for 2024 models. When we "built" this truck in January, it was 2023 on the site, and it allowed us to choose max trailer tow package at the time.
I’d love a powerboost, but I get nervous because of the reliability reviews. Truck seems amazing but to spend that much for something that has knows issues is scary.
I love my F150 King Ranch, power boost, when it works. Unfortunately after five days the first one counted out and they couldn’t get it to work and three months later got me a new one. In the last two years since I’ve had it twice I’ve been stranded once it took 10 days to fix the second time it took a month. The hybrid is the problem. It’s unreliable unfortunately don’t know what I’d do if I was 300 miles away.

I find that with most electrified vehicles. The extra torque is nice and the build quality is great 👍
See how it hold at 100k miles😮
Love my 21’ powerboost. Maxed it out with goodies. Won’t get a different one until they add the powerboost to the super duty models. 👍🏿👍🏿
I bought one yesterday and i love it so far@livewirereview

@@davewilson8308 the ProPower OnBoard is the BEST! Good call! 👍
I'm looking at buying a 21 with about 30k miles. Can you upgrade the pro-power onboard to 7200 watt after the face or is that a factory option?

@ShawnPatterson402 personally I agree! Matt loves it. I, however, just love how easy it is to back up to a trailer with a backup camera.
my work just got me a 2024. when I get to 50k miles they'll give me a new one. I hope I like it- I didn't have a choice

I thought the Max Tow option put you back into the 3.5l ecoboost NOT the powerboost...

what size tires ?
275/65/18 or 275/60/20. There are a few other options as well. Like all F-150 trucks, the customization is endless.
@@livewirereviewI’m on the fence 285 70 18.. I’m not lifted just stick height.

However, Ford offers a lot of great warranties if you ever run into an issue.
I would love one of these trucks if it came as a regular cab 8 ft bed.
That's what Matt said too!
Good review and an episode of Letterkenny to boot!
👍
Love mine. Nothing bad to say except price.
Enjoy it! We really appreciate what you get for the price.
We just got one ☝️ and it was 10 K off sticker price 😅 thank you Mall of Georgia Ford Dealership ! ❤
That's amazing! Congratulations!
Right now they are clearing out the 23s. You can get a fully loaded lariat for 61K
That's a good price!
anyone here running 285 70 on stock wheels without issues?

XLT is the working man’s truck.
That's why we picked this one specifically! Myself, Matt and one of our coworkers would pick this version.
Anyone off road in this?
Not yet, even @Truckking haven't off roaded the hybrid. They have taken the Lightning off-road, though.
Are you sure your not the truck king reviewer?????? You look and sound 99% like him? Please answer!
@user-cy7oz1kn8x yes, Matt is also on Truck King. 😉
So…what are these ‘XXX’ jokes you talked about?
🤣
lol...73,000 dollar work truck. 81000 not taking into account Fords Incentive program.. ridiculous...
@whales302 this one was closer to $60k with discounts.
Overpriced garbage . After 25 years of F150’s Iam out . Get back to me at 125000 miles.

238K and counting on my 2010 F150 5.4L 4WD. Only watched this video (which was great BTW!) scouting my next truck purchase a few years from now
