  • There is hope!
It is possible to find relief, yes even if you are considered bone on bone or if you’ve lost a significant amount of cartilage ☝🏽
It may be scary to hear you’ve lost cartilage.
But it is a normal process of the body that your cartilage becomes less efficient. It doesn’t automatically mean you’ll have to give up everything you love and deal with significant pain for the rest of your life ☝🏽
Your joint is irritated and it’s irritated for a reason. There are people who are “bone on bone” and don’t experience pain so it’s more than just the fact of losing cartilage that’s increasing your pain 👀
This is good news because it means something can be done about your pain!
Now there absolutely is a time and a place for surgery but research suggests giving conservative measures a try first ✅
There could be many things contributing to your joint irritation but here are a few examples:
    - muscle imabalances
    -lack of activity/too much activity
    - lack of nutrient dense foods
    - high levels of stress without an outlet to manage it
    - excess body fat
    - poor sleep quality
And these are just a few. Each one of these factors can lead to increased irritation in your knees. Minimizing and modifying some of these behaviors can make a big difference in most 🙌🏼
If you’ve tried consistent movement, improving balance, eating foods that are good for your body, improving sleep, and managing stress with no success- surgery may be on the table and it doesn’t mean you’ve failed☝🏽
But there are options to try before coming to that decision and you may be surprised at how you feel 👀
