Would you cross the road in Tunisia with confidence? 😉🇹🇳
Maybe one of those roads - turned supermarkets 😂
During my childhood I felt crossing the street like im in Subway Surfers barely missing the trains and such 🤣
I'm Tunisian and yeah I would do it with confidence 🙄🤪🤣🤣🤣
If i'm not tunisian i would say no 😅
My country, Tunisia, is not beautiful. I live in sand among sand, and I eat in sand every day
One of the most beautiful countries in the world 🇹🇳❤ I will come back to visit
You're welcomed
tips to survive while crossing the roads in Tunisia:
you have to wave your hand to drivers before crossing the street, it's a sign that you're attempting to cross otherwise noone would let you cross lol
by the way the biggest problem of tourism in Tunisia is caring about the environment it's really embarrassing i hope your feedback about this will be seen by our environment responsibles
Thanks for choosing Tunisia and i hope you enjoyed here
Thanks so much for the 'crossing the road' advice! It can be daunting 😅 I hope the rubbish situation can improve 🙏🏼 Tunisia is truly beautiful and deserves to be clean too ❤️🇹🇳
Great you enjoyed ❤🇹🇳
My lovely Tunisia 🇹🇳 ❤️
I hope you got to visit more spots in Tunis other than the Medina and Habib Bourguiba avenue. Being a Tunisian in Berlin, I can draw similarities between the two capitals in that within each city, there are many neighborhoods which look and feel quite different to each other. As you noticed, you literally feel a different vibe once you leave one of the Medina gates. My favorite districts in Tunis are Carthage, Sidi Dhrif, El Menzah, El Manar, Les Berges du Lac, Mutuelleville and ofcourse Medina (or as we Tunisians call it Lemdina L'aarbi which translates to "the Arab Medina"). So next time you wanna show off your Tunisian native skills, say that and not Medina :D
Hi Mouath 😄 We explored more of Tunis after filming this video and came back to this city a number of times throughout our trip because it is so much easier to get all over Tunisia from Tunis itself 🙌🏼🇹🇳 Definitely want to use that phrase next time! We've learnt a couple of Tunisian words and phrases like 'Yaishek' 😁
@@SarahandMarek You should also visit the beaches, especially the one in Mahdia, The beaches in Tunis aren't good. And if you have the opportunity, there's also the Djerba island which many tourists go to because of it's beaches
PS : be careful of the jellyfish, the most common you can find are little ones that just hurt you but nothing bad BUT there's big blue ones that are rare but you can still find them that if you get stinged by them, you'll have to go to a hospital.
We’ll be waiting for more videos so! 😍 @sarahandmarek
@@SarahandMarek Hello there, I hope you liked your journey here in Tunisia. I would like to see a Part 2 of your Tunis Journey.
One other thing, you can visit nabeul & hammamet they are known as popular tourist places to visit, especially in the summer. but still have cosy coffee shops with view to the Mediterranean sea.
Welcome to Tunisia. Firstly, I glad that you love my country. It is true that we move a lot and get out, and these places are also the heart of Tunisia. Do not forget that Tunisia is a small country. Really yes, unfortunately Tunisia is dirty but it has good things and good people..... There are also some other cities that you have to go back to, especially to visit them.. I hope you enjoyed
🥰🥰🤍❤🇹🇳🤩
♡♡♡😍😍🤣and the maqroud are stuffed with dates..
Hope you enjoy Tunisia as much as I did! I found it a very interesting place to vlog and engage with the locals. Safe travels!
Hello, I follow both of you, and I am very happy and quite surprised too that South africans are coming to Tunisia, I hope you enjoyed your trips and wish to see more South africans coming to us, since I feel we are connected (northest point and southest point of our continent).
On the behalf of Tunisians, Welcome !
(And don't mind the dirt, we are really trying to work on it.)
it's very normal to wear shorts in Tunisia, you didn't notice that they are not wearing long-sleeve shirts too ! It's winter , I know it's not that cold but we still feel the cold like you guys , you still feel the harissa but we don't !Much love , Welcome to Tunisia❤
it was so nice having you here in tunisia guys !
We couldn't agree more 🤗🇹🇳 thank you for watching! We have lots more vlogs from Tunisia coming soon 😁
Hhhhh baz ga77fouk wenty m3amel ytal3ouk ya3tek 3aaaaaasba
Tradition
I am from Tunis and this is by far the loveliest video I have ever watched about the city. ❤
Wishing you guys all the best on your future destinations!
Thank you so much Belliri 😁

The guy in the background shouting "harhrehom harhrehom" (make it more spicy for them) and the woman replying that she'll definitely do ! hahaha
Hahahaha 🤣 I didn't realize that's what they were saying 😅

i personally am a tunsisian from germany and i know much about cool locations so here are some cool ones. El djem the second collosseum.Thugga old city from the roman empire.and al khazra mahmal al papie it is a old lost place it was once a Paper Factory but then it just got like how it is.and a tip from me there are supermarkets in tunisisa most in the not so populated areas like ariana try a carrefour next time.i hope i could help you
Welcome to Tunisia 🇹🇳! So when food gets too spicy just add olive oil (don’t try and “drown it” with water it makes it worse!). The makroudhs are made of semolina and date paste sometimes peppered with sesame seeds they are a specialty of Kairouan. The big market is the marché central which has been there for decades and where even professional restaurateurs get their provisions…. Tunisia, little country great desti-nation 😉
Thanks so much Meriem 😁
Pleasure to have you here !! tunisia is very big and has many landmarks and sights which you can't visit all at once , the north west states have their vibe too and their culture which makes you feel like you're home (very friendly people and delicious food) , like kef , ain draham , and we have sousse and sfax and monastir and mahdia in the coast (the most popular is sousse) , and we have the sahara (desert) like tozeur and mednin and djerba the island (the most beautiful island).
We waiting for you to come back !! much love xoxo
I actually love walking and seeing that people around the world are open to the idea of discovering an ancient country as ours, tunisia is like any country in the world. It has wonderful places to see and visit but it also has it's flaws and we may not be perfect , we may seem a bit strange to others but those people took a road and turned it into a place for them to work on and for people to enjoy passing by. Tunisia is beautiful and with some efforts it will blossom and it will turn from a leef to a tree. Welcome guys to our county and know that a lot of people may not understand english but the young generation walking by does understand you. I personally love hearing tourists talk makes me want to walk up to them and tell them how much their accents makes me fall in love with their language, your language.
This is such an amazing comment 😃
Thank you 😁
8:50 Tunisia has many supermarkets. You misunderstood. The huge building where you bought dates is the Central Market (Marche Central De Tunis_), but they have many 'European' style supermarkets, such as Monoprix, Carrefour and Aziza, which are everywhere.
proud of you, you maked a good vibrations of my country! Thank you
Great memories, really enjoyed Tunis when I visited and your video is the perfect representation! Carthage, Sidi, Medina, etc. so many cool places! Loved also you explained the clothing (yes no shorts!) and indeed they're true to who they are, also noticed that a lot! As always another great video, can't wait for your next one! :)
Not even halfway through and I love your vibes, I haven't been to Tunisia since I was 16 (33 now) so it's great to see the country through your eyes and it warms my heart to see tourists are still welcomed warmly. Thank you for documenting your trip! ❤️
Thanks for watching Sheikh! I'm so happy you are enjoying our video 😁
Awesome to join you on a virtual tour of Tunis 🤩
Thanks so much Cheryl! So happy you enjoyed it 😁🇹🇳 Did anything surprise you?
First time I watch a video where my country is justly represented thank you for this video seriously ❤
This kind of videos really remind me of how much I miss my country. I hope you enjoyed your trip and got to visit the other cool spots and cities.
as a tunisian, i love you visit our country/city!
I really love the way you talk about that country and the friendly picture you wanted to pass through the video, everyone seemed cheerful, kind and friendly, they acted normal with tourists, I loved how natural things are going and I really like the capital city though.
It's good to look to the city where I live through the eyes of foreigners
I hope you guys enjoyed it 🇹🇳❤️
We really enjoyed our time in Tunis! It was a very new experience for us 😄 What is your favorite place in Tunisia? 🇹🇳
@@SarahandMarek Kram - Carthage, where I live, the northern suburbs of the captial city of Tunis, you should visit it 🔥❤️
Just a little rectification, you can wear whatever you want in Tunisia.
Even us, Tunisian citizens, we are very chill about dressing the way we want, and no laws interfere with what you choose to wear.
And oh, not seeing anyone wearing shorts is because January is considered as winter, with the exception this year because of climate change.
Thank you Yahiaoui 😊
Happy to see you here ! ❤️
Have a good visit !
Glad to see you here ! you should visit more places and discover historical places , beaches ... I hope you had fun
Hi Omar! Thanks so much. We spent three weeks backpacking in Tunisia and explored a number of places across the country. We're really excited to share the rest of our Tunisia series soon 😄🇹🇳 What's your favorite place in Tunisia?
Glad you enjoyed your visit to Tunis, and the lablabi! 🤣 I have been living and working here for the past three years researching the upcoming Bradt Travel Guide to Tunisia, which will be published in June 2023. You're right, one of the frustrating things is all the litter, but if you can get past that it's a beautiful country and the people are so welcoming, as you saw!
One of the nicest travelers I've seen on UA-cam... I'm subscribing waiting for your next videos 😍
Glad that you enjoyed your stay in my hometown 😍
A very honest vlog. Thanks for sharing 😊
it was nice watching this as a tunisian myself
and yes confidence is key( probably) when u cross roads
Vous êtes adorable. Ça fait plaisir de vous voir profiter du centre de la capitale et de sa culture. Vous serez toujours la bienvenue ! 😉
You guys are awesome. You made one of the nicest videos I’ve ever watched about Tunisia. The culture there is amazing and rich it’s different from a town to another. I’m a Tunisian following from 🇨🇦
Thank you Myriam, that really means a lot to us 🙂
You do not know how happy I am when you talk about my country, Tunisia. Thank you for this beautiful video. I assure you that you have not seen anything about Tunisia. I hope you will visit other places in Tunisia..well done 😍😍😍🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳

For information :
- The picture on 2 Dinars coin is "The ancient naval port of Carthage" also known as "Great Harbour of Carthage".
- The people aren't wearing shorts because it's winter here :)
We loved it! And thank you so much for the information 😃
You always welcome to Tunisia, my husband was British and he always loved Tunisia.
I hope to get to know the Tunisian cities. Tunisia is the epitome of beauty and splendor. Greetings from all the Tunisian people. Welcome💕💕
Beautiful city
the most important think that really took me so impressed abou you 2 is that you did it so well in tunisia without a guide ! !! if there is any guide of tourists in tunisia he propebly will took you to the zoo or the beach but this is the real tunisia how we n-joy it ( im tunisians ) this is what we also do if we want to chill there but not the best choices maybe nexte time you must finf a local one !
yeah ! im a subscriber from today
Thank you so much! Thats the exact way that we love to travel, trying our best to do the normal things that locals do 😁🥳

Glad to see your vlog in my Country 🇹🇳
Thank u guys for the video I'm feeling like seeing my country with discovering eyes I know for sure it's very vibrant and bustling but people are quite friendly and welcoming it's that full because so many citizens came from the countryside to seek job so basically the capital is bustling but other gourmet are not u need to visit bizerte and maybe Beja and Jendouba aindrahem
Travelled alone around Morrocco last year....and heading to Tunisia in March. Also trying to sneak into Libya to visit the Leptis Magna...but that's proving darned near impossible! Glad I got to watch this video.
17:12 the police came there to check if he's saying good things about tunis xDDDD, jk jk i am really glad that you enjoyed your stay in my country and i wish you both all the best
welcome guys - enjoy 🌷
nice video . Thanks 4 sharing ❤Tunis
good to see you there, have a nice trip..
i am from the united states but my mom is from tunis neuatiful country i go there every year. Great country, thanks for paying a visit.
You two are cute as can be! Thank you for sharing. I hope to experience Tunisia myself soon!
I lived in Bizerte for a year, the panoramic view are awesome. Chedley, Afifa, Nezrene, Modi and Sabrene were among my friends. We have a great time together in Africa hotel.
Welcome to our Lovely and fantastic country 🇹🇳 you must visit Bizerte in the north of Tunisia too...
About the 2 dinars coin, it's not an amphitheatre it's a punic harbor of ancient Carthage. It's a very special harbor and one of it's kind, the only covered harbor ever built and it was one of reasons it made Carthage rule the mediterranean sea. Btw welcome to Tunisia and enjoy your stay 😃
Hi Amine! That is so interesting, thanks so much for sharing that info 😄 lots more Tunisia videos to come 😁🇹🇳 we really enjoyed exploring your country!
You two have a beautiful vibe
I was certain you guys would struggle with the lableli when I saw what went in it.... But you guys smashed it, well done! 🔥
Haha I still don't know how we managed 😂 thank you! 😁🔥
You would really enjoy the food here! It is spicy SPICY 🔥🇹🇳😋
@@SarahandMarek If I knew you I would recommend you to some places to try authentic food with low prices , you need to try Lablebi In particular restaurants , next time Ask if they add "Haregma" which is thick sauce made with cow legs" belive me it too good . I live in Tunis so be free to ask me anything I would be glad to help.
Thanks sharing
Thank you for watching 😄
I'm a tunisian and i like your vids
Thank you for representing nice my beloved Tunisia.
my beloved land. i miss it so much❤❤

@@SarahandMarek yes for the moment I moved to Italy for work
The country of my mother ❤️

Yoo I think I saw you guys in the medina great to have you here tho ❤️
Quick explanation: the medina is the old and traditional side of Tunisia that's why there's not a supermarkets there and for the clothes it's very normal to wear shorts or whatever you want hh but it's just winter so it's rare to find s.o with shorts because it's cold
You have to see the other side of Tunisia love you ❤️ and have a great day
Thanks for sharing. I am a local to Tunis.
Thank you for watching! 😄
I used to take walks there but I moved back to Bizert. But if I happened to be passing by and heard your conversation, I would have loved to greet you guys 😊

welcome to our country Sarah & Marek🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
You can go to Marsa / Sidi Bousaïd these places are awesome guys ... happy to see you here in Tunisia ❤
Thank you! We went to Sidi Bou Said next and it was awesome 😄🇹🇳
About people not wearing shorts,I’m from Tunisia and I make the same remark but it’s like a nation wide habit (sort of speak). Shorts and short sleeves are worn in the summer only and it’s beleived to prevent winter sickness like the flu but some people also find it an opportunity to wear winter clothes since winter is a shorter season in Tunisia lol
Thank you so much for explaining 😃
LMAOO at 4:24 guy in the background saying " harhrehom harhrehom " it means spice them / give them more spice
Hahaha 🤣
Such a beautiful vlog IAm Tunisian u welcome guys 🇹🇳
Very beautiful welcome to Tunisia 🇹🇳
"Everybody is really chill and relaxed" xD
