Wow! Those holes are dangerous, and digging is not permitted more than six inches down. Idiots like that have no respect, and they're going to cause collecting to be banned if they don't stop.
@@EyestheColoroftheSea Yeah, if you're going to dig, at least dig smaller holes, and attempt to refill them. These are massive. Luckily they're well below the water and don't pose any threat to swimmers or boaters, but during the fall/winter months they can be dangerous and cause TVA to crack down on anyone picking along the lake bed.
That camping couple and Dan Hurd dug a 7ft pit at a location and didn’t fill in the hole, closed the site down for the rest of us! Follow rules, and the laws! Some ppl just don’t care! Then you have ppl selling there finds, wich is also illegal, wich in turn makes me ask the question, when is enough rocks enough? UA-camrs ruin everything, I’m not saying you are ruining it, just saying in general! Thanks for the trip, good finds!

Cute little quartzes, and a bit easier collecting than Herkimer!
I saw a Herkimer that was selling for $250! It was pretty big, palm size
What part of the lake shore are doing your searches?
At the main boat ramp, close to where the Dam is at.
Where is Douglas lake? State or Country ? Thanks from a rock hound in need of rehab . Got it bad .
It's in East Tennessee, in Sevier County.
