Now that we have physicalized components, they just need to implement component degradation, and then we'll have what we need to make racing ships actually reliant on racing components, and race crews will have something more to do.
It annoys me to no end that the stores who sell ship parts don't tell you the specs of the part, having to tab out and go to an entirely separate site just to know what you're buying feels wrong.
That's only for consumables. Modules are always on yet only grant minor bonuses. Surge/stampede are consumables with charges. Vaux C is an always on module. For example.
Pirates in the belt? How are they supposed to find you? That basically can't happen. 0.00001% chance in the belt. Different story on planets but tbf not a single player bothered me on lyria or calliope in .18 yet.
Olli, serious question here. I fancy myself as good at accents. I have a keen ear for the ways that people talk and can even analyze the reasons my mimicry sounds unauthentic. Sometimes I hear you making tonal mistakes like me. Is your British accent just acting?! I've also thought maybe you live in the States or Canada and your accent is evolving into euro-American
IMHO the Mole needs work. I think those manual mining turrets should be remote, a bit like the salvage turrets on the Reclaimer. Having your crew exposed to the elements and more vulnerable to exploding rocks is stupid. In addition I think said three remote turret stations should be able to switch to operating size 2 remote combat turrets. Right now, the Mole is totally defenseless and therefore an extremely tempting target for pirates. I don't think three dual size 2 turrets will make it an OP battleship but would at least give it _something._
I like the idea of it having no defenses if the game was fleshed out more and allowed more players on one server. They are mining machines that create profit, people could hire others to protect their mining convoys and stuff while pirates try to steal their stuff. But yeah right now it's just weird since everyone does solo stuff anyway
@@bighatastrea The problem is the chances of being attacked are slim, so mostly protectors end up doing nothing. If you aren't attacked, you just feel like you wasted money hiring people. Miners are profit driven and don't want to do that. Dedicated racers have weapon mounts. So does the Prospector. If they didn't have guns, I'd actually understand because who the hell is out shooting in a Razor? CIG are trying to push piracy and right now, if you spot a Mole, you basically just hit the jackpot even if it's fully manned and you're a brand new player in their startership. Just escape? Good luck climbing out of atmosphere before you go down to even basic firepower if you're mining planetside. You're basically a credit piñata. This is a hill I'll probably die on because I've raised it before and the responses are often midwit af, with stuff like 'I like that the turrets are manual and you're exposed to the elements' and 'I like the idea of it having no defenses'.

Now if say 120% means 100% from the laser head mining and only 20% from the mod extra, they show the total of % after you mount
95% laser power -> power x 0.95 (debuf)
Now that we have physicalized components, they just need to implement component degradation, and then we'll have what we need to make racing ships actually reliant on racing components, and race crews will have something more to do.
Death Marker might be range sensitive, I don't know the range that it shows up.
it's 120 extraction rate. +20% bonus
It annoys me to no end that the stores who sell ship parts don't tell you the specs of the part, having to tab out and go to an entirely separate site just to know what you're buying feels wrong.
LETS GO OLLIE
Hmm wouldn't, if you fly alone, want the extractor in the middle sir? Closer to the bridge was me thinking aye, yeah.
Yellow steady, then rapid, then RED
I think you didn't use your modules, you need to hold Alt and press the number of the module.
That's only for consumables. Modules are always on yet only grant minor bonuses.
Surge/stampede are consumables with charges.
Vaux C is an always on module. For example.
the web tore saying 120% probably means it performs at 120% performance, 100% being base. so base plus 20. Rather than as a bonus120% above base.
How do you stay safe from pirates when mining solo?
Pirates in the belt? How are they supposed to find you? That basically can't happen. 0.00001% chance in the belt.
Different story on planets but tbf not a single player bothered me on lyria or calliope in .18 yet.
If a head says 95% power isn that not 5% drop?
This is running super smooth, what the hell? 😅
I think Focus is 90 percent power, not 90 percent more power. I think you want the Rieger
Star field is gonna blow Star Citizen out of the water
Where is the list of all componentes you are using
Fast extraction is useless. Use FLTR modules to reduce inert.
Gameplay for the protectors is boring. If no one comes around the Mole, you just sit there and float while the other players do stuff.
@@Power5 I was thinking the same and I dont see people willing to just sit around doin nothing for say, 20k credits... even if the hirer is willing to give a cut of their profits its just boring gameplay. I had been thinking of ways around that for my future org and might have a spicy solution to provide meaningfull escorts to both miners and Transports without it becoming a snoozefest for escorts. BUT I aint giving it away just yet :D
oh i belive you , the game cucked me and my friends over so many times not giving the death marker . the second you went down the ladder without putting on your helmet i KNEW you were gonna choke cause for the dumbest reason the 2 outside beams have no enclosed room with air
I died and did not get a death marker, but when I got closer to the area that I died at the death marker shoed up, might be range sensative.
This was so entertaining.
Man wish i had a gaming pc, can only hope starfield compares to this
Still looks like your flying little drones around everywhere, and I don't mean your flying skills, just the look of the game. How does it feel from a large ship to a small ship.
The only graphical change I think they could make, is how the rock just disappears after extraction.
Good stuff, but I hate the Eve ad, when he says "This game, you're not ready for it." like he is a bad ass for playing it and no one else is good enough for it so I skipped the cocky ad to get right back to your great video. Don't you love forgetting to put the helmet back on after a drink, lol.
rate of 120% and +20% are the same thing! :D
quantanium explodes after 25 minutes thats better than 15 mins i once had a full 500k of quantum and landed at the last triple beat meaning its on the last seconds or something very intense stuff now i guess we can relax and mine quantanium
I don't get why they added 10 minutes. Or maybe this makes sense for the MOLE, bith not the rpospector.
I am told not to wiggle that it slows down heating, unlike the pre-change mining. Titaneum is worth more than gold I thought.
Do not fear the timer... I only blew up once and that was cause the elevator on station would not respond and I had to switch docks. You have plenty of time. I have mined multiple quant rocks and made it back with time to spare. Yellow, orange, red. Red wont last long enough for you to kiss your ass goodbye so...
Yes a massive upgrade but not an upgrade for all the annoying bugs!!!
It's frustrating to play with!!!
lucky, lucky olli.
can't wait until they add npc crew so you can play solo easier
i dont think theres gonna be any AI crew, its MMO, CIG wants players to cooperate not robots.
booooo... Join an Org, make friends, invite randos but for the love of SC no NPC or AI Crew...
If you cant man it, dont fly it... pick a ship that fits the current crew, if all you got is yourself then best fly smth you can man by yourself :)
I am a bit surprised it took until now to happen. When I tried mining, it was clear that there was a lack of thinking on the multicrew mining, and the corrections needed were obvious. The most surprising to be honest is that the people in charge didn't think about it in advance.
You wally Olli lol...😂
wow I've never been this early
again extraction in the middle so that you just head to the bridge and 'haul ass?"
you have not been bamboozled. What is 100% plus 20%? Its showing you your total extraction rate instead of the addition.
You should have someone follow you while you make content. Would save you hours and display the super fun team play aspects.
But at the very least they could res you.
+20% is 120% altogether.
oh Olli .... lol
I'm just about to play. Just invite me and I will help you. And I will be in youtube as well. 😂
