5:05 I don’t know if it was during this video regarding Tati’s Blendiful, or if it was during a live and we were talking about it, but I made a comment about how mine fell apart. I received a personal message on Twitter from Tati herself and asked if she could replace it for me or refund it for me! I was immediately both impressed and starstruck. I told her it’s no big deal, but she insisted upon making it right, and she sent me another one. She’s a class act.

After waiting almost 2 months for my palette to be delivered, I contacted their customer services and was shown everything related to the palette having been delivered - including photos (taken by the courier). I immediately noticed that the courier had put the palette into one of my outside bins, which had long since been emptied!!! Of course, I apologised and acknowledged it wasn't the fault of the Tati team, thanked them for their help and said goodbye. Unfortunately, I couldn't order another palette as they had completely sold out .... I was gutted. The following day, I received an email from them, telling me that they were going to send me a replacement palette, free of charge!! Somehow, they had located a palette and had decided that (because the destroyed palette was a real fluke of an accident), they would send it to me - I must add that I live in the UK 😮 How truly awesome we're they 😊. I wish Tati would relaunch her brand sometime in the near future.
I'm not a fan, and hopefully she's done with her clean nonsense, but that is impressive - and you said it was a comment here, not her own channel? Either way, chef's kiss professionalism. She is incredibly poised and classy. In general, I think she is a masterclass in how to present oneself, and how to gracefully roll with the punches of a career like this. While I am not very drawn to her makeup style, when I want to look my absolute 'professional best,' she's someone I use for inspiration. Lol she's a fabulous PR case study...honestly, I strive to be that responsive and engaged in all the aspects of my career working with the public or on-site with clients

I didn’t love the Blendiful but bought it knowing it wasn’t probably gonna be a fave but it intrigued me. BUT that Tati Beauty palette is one of the best the community has ever seen IMO. The formulas and concept were everything
While I know that the Elf stuff isn't a scam... It's still frustrating to buy something that looks like it holds more than it actually does. Their serum foundation back in the day is what taught me to actually look at amounts/weights on items!
I think we know what you're good at and we trust your investigative skills, thorough research, and honesty. You also do the hard labor for us and it's appreciated. And 2014 me would have definitely appreciated the cheap hauls but 2023 me definitely will pay $50 for a pair of sweatpants or leggings if they will last. I also own 75 percent less makeup than 2014, but the amount I spent on that makeup is also probably equal. But it's also my age difference of 34-25 too. And they types of products I bought them vs. Now also is very different. I also don't watch many reviews as those aren't what I enjoy, but I enjoy the fact that you try to remain non-bias in all aspects.

I will never understand the controversy around Tati’s Blendiful - I actually still have like 5 of them and use them every time I apply makeup as a supplement to my brushes. They’re easy to wash and work better than any other comparable product I’ve ever tried. And, obviously, they last ages!
The beauty community was such a good place prior to 2015-2018. I miss when it was just about the makeup. And it’s kinda like that now, but now the good ones aren’t reaping the same benefit

It's one of those things that sticks forever. We were in a mall somewhere and passed a store. I was like, "L'occitaaaaaaane." My bf was like, 😵💫 That ELF one made me chuckle though, has no one ever used a Chapstick before? Same principle.
I think with the chapstick people were able to understand it better because they could see the mechanism themselves when it's retracted. Sure it's an opaque tube, but they could make the connection than when they twist one way, it goes up, and when they twist the other way, it goes down. Something about airless pumps just threw people for a loop.

The Laneige water bank hyaluronic serum is my absolute favorite but it is definitely a scam bottle and needs to be broken. It’s supposed to come apart but it doesn’t. It’s supposed to turn red in a little window when it’s gone and it doesn’t.

Oh God, that Elf primer one 😂😂😂 I remember seeing that unfold in real time and being just so... dumbfounded that people were falling for it. Their green one in that formula was my favorite, so I remember seeing those videos and thinking, "If these people were actually using this primer like they say they are, then they'd KNOW that they've already used more product than what they're claiming to be inside." I can understand not being familiar with a type of packaging, but to immediately jump to accusations rather than thinking, "Huh, I know I used more than this tiny amount. How did all that product fit into this tiny space?" Good Lord 😂
Jen, I would LOVE to see you breaking up makeup and measuring the contents against what is advertised! There was another channel that used to do this that I loved but they stopped. It was so fascinating to see which companies were being more honest and which were playing fast and loose!

Yeah that ELF one was a bit of a lol. I remember using a Body Shop foundation that I'm pretty sure had the same get up. I even took it apart to reuse it again with another foundation because I found I liked that packaging better

Must admit, i still use my blendiful. The first one i got, came torn. I got in touch with the company and they sent a replacement with no questions. I prefer the Blendiful over a beauty sponge. I didn’t like the little black applicator. Fantastic customer service and i live in the UK.

Their green one in that formula was my favorite, so I remember seeing those videos and thinking, "If these people were actually using this primer like they say they are, then they'd KNOW that they've already used more product than what they're claiming to be inside." I can understand not being familiar with a type of packaging, but to immediately jump to accusations rather than thinking, "Huh, I know I used more than this tiny amount. How did all that product fit into this tiny space?" Good Lord 😂

There was another channel that used to do this that I loved but they stopped. It was so fascinating to see which companies were being more honest and which were playing fast and loose!

My takeaway is that your “viral” videos are still authentic. You don’t manufacture drama just for views. That’s why I can’t stand Tic Tok, everything is fake.
Robert and James say it all the time: a product can't be viral before it comes out. Only the influencers are loving it, which it valid, but they are being paid!

That's literally what killsssss meeeeee. EVERYTHING That Tati said about James literally was the case but Tati was in the wrong. Everything she said was true and she still had to go through her cancellation phase.
She should have never backtracked on that.

Idk why that gives people a pass but I know tana was similar in that people tolerated really gross inappropriate things from them that they kind of call out once they are adults still doing them. Idk if that makes sense. Feel free to tell me I’m wrong if he’s older than I thought. I’m just getting this impression mostly because before that Tati always mentioned feeling like his mom and that’s also why she was so offended by the betrayal of promoting her rivals 😢 he just is immoral all the way around
@@Arbee1000If I recall correctly, it was because of that, as well as for being a "bad friend" by making her video while he was in Australia, in a different time zone to where the hate mobs were sprung before he even awoke & could respond to them. Also because it was Jeffree/Shane who encouraged her to make that video. So even tho she was right, I think it was the framing? I'm not 100% sure.

I loved this journey through the past! (mostly drama I've missed because I am clueless) but I have lots of fun learning about it. I need to look up videos on the Tati and James drama. I used to love Tati and I missed the drama ( I was away from youtube back then) and when I came back Tati was cancelled... 😔I still am not 100% sure of what happened...

Yeah that ELF one was a bit of a lol. I remember using a Body Shop foundation that I'm pretty sure had the same get up. I even took it apart to reuse it again with another foundation because I found I liked that packaging better

Hi Jen yes i was watch all these video you have mentioned, up to now !as i remember putting both jaclyn palettes in to the bin i was furious ! i went on a mini rant ! don’t laugh !! but it was funny !!! my hubby was sat there his eyes were popping out of his head saying nothing but were both bursting out laughing!!!! later.oh yes i was right beside you with this one it was just not fair .

Must admit, i still use my blendiful. The first one i got, came torn. I got in touch with the company and they sent a replacement with no questions. I prefer the Blendiful over a beauty sponge.
