I think the viewers saw a different side through this video. You stepped it up in every way- editing, storytelling, emotions; being real. Awesome video brother- congratulations
I’ve watched a lot of hunting films, Chris. This is one of my favorites, ever, and I almost never leave comments. That scene with you laying next to him is one of the best ever done in a deer film. Congratulations, sir.
definitely! For me, its always between the deer and me and God, what better way to celebrate the life of such a great animal than to lay down in his environment and honor him!
The fact that you did not get it on film just shows that you are human. It's great that you still put this video out for us to see the story. You could have easily just posted pictures of you with Buck on social media and called it a day. Admitting mistakes and owning that you hunt first is a great character trait.
I really like that you didn't get it on film.....that's not what hunting is about. You hit it on the bullseye with the story telling, the journey, and all the work you put it. Nice work dude.....
Chris, I absolutely love your reaction to this harvest. The journey, the pursuit, all culminating in just laying on the ground beside the deer and reflecting on it all...taking it all in. Those moments can be pretty overwhelming. Good work sir! Thanks for sharing the journey. Fantastic video.
dang dude a new video! Always gets me fired up. I've been pretty burnt out filming lately but it's channels like yours and seek one that put the story telling cinematic vibes back in to hunting videos. Keep it up!
You have no idea how refreshing it is to see a Hunting Personality put the hunt and the deer before the camera. Congratulations on a bruiser! Thanks for the content.
I just wanted to say how much your videos have inspired me this year. This is my first year bow hunting, and watching your journey has motivated me to take the plunge. The raw emotions I felt when I got my first deer with a bow were indescribable. It was a mix of excitement, gratitude, and a deep connection with nature. Thank you for sharing your experiences and passion; it has truly made a difference in my hunting journey.
Best video I've watched you have produced. From preparation, scouting, Storyline, history, to harvest. Chris congratulations man. Hope more videos like this from you to come. Reminds me of Seek One, Lee Ellis story telling. Great job again man, thanks for content.
I don’t know man, I think this is how this deers story was supposed to go. You do a great job man. You’re also attracting people to archery aside from everything else you mentioned on here. Well done!
So glad to see the hunter took over! If you've hunted long enough you know opportunities only come once if at all. I get frustrated with some other videos where they don't shoot because they don't have good light for the video, but it's still legal shooting light and they say we'll come back tomorrow or next season.
Not ever seeing him while hunting the year before, and barely seeing him on camera during times, to not get him on film sounds very fitting. His story was told well. Awesome video
Think is may be the best hunting video I’ve seen on UA-cam in a long while. Forget the footage(we all love to see it) but this shows the true genuine side of the hunting experience! Great great video
This video felt like a revamp in the best way possible. You seem happy. The shot would have been cool because you are such an amazing shooter but your storytelling is also amazing. You are an unbelievable hunter and I’m glad the hunter came out and not the UA-camr. You deserve this buck and I’m sorry it’s stressful but man you are the best.
Getting the shot on video is secondary at best. The story and your personal experience in the hunt, in the moment, getting that monster of a deer is what it is all really about. Amazing deer great job Chris!
As soon as I saw this on my feed I shouted, “ He freaking got him, good stuff Chris!” I watched your videos leading up to this moment and I’m happy for you man. You motivate all of us to keep on going, thank you!
Nothing I can say that hasn’t been said already. Your best video to date, by far. Your emotion and excitement is what real hunters can relate to. Keep up the great work brother!
Awesome video man! What a stud! More respect for you that you took the shot and didn’t worry about the camera when you knew that it was your only chance! Congrats dude
You told the story with emotion and reality. I get so tired of cut away shots that are added into videos which distorts the reality of the hunt. Thank you for being real. Loved the hunt and enjoyed viewing a hunt and not an infomercial.
Chris you absolutely outdid yourself on this video. I truly feel like this video is of the same excitement and quality that the first bit of your western tour videos were. Man it makes me feel like I’m watching the channel again when it first started to get big!!!
I am just getting into the filming world and man is it tough. This video made me realize that it is not all about the shot. I have been focusing only on the shot but I see now that the prep can be just as interesting as the 5 second shot of the animal. Thanks for opening my eyes a bit. Awesome video Mr. Bee keep er up!
Awesome story and video Chris!!! That's how both my archery and gun season went this year. Was going to record both hunts and left the cameras inside because I didn't think I'd see anything....I guessed wrong both times. Both deer came running in out of no where and it was bitter sweet and over! Congrats on your success!
Congratulations Chris! The take away for every one, including myself, is to stay off your phones. When you're distracted you're not in tune with your environment. Thanks for taking us along, he's a beautiful animal!
Great video, excellent story. Love seeing higher profile people like chris being a real person. So often i feel the excitement gets lost in the scheme of things. Not the case with Chris. Nice work! And excellent deer from a fellow iowan
That last scene speaks volume on you and your passion for what we all love. Great story and as always love watching your videos. Great job and keep up the great work!
Hunter first is an accurate statement. The pressure of filming has probably cost more missed opportunities than we can count. You were still successful and we couldn't be happier for you whether we saw it on film or not. Keep building memories whether we see it or not.Telling the hunt to us allows us to picture it in our own minds. That is not a bad thing. God bless you.
Holy Smokes, Man! This had me grinning! You had my heart pounding! Congratulations. Love your work and your style. Power Line needs a special spot. Do you guys ever tan your hides? Enjoy your success.
You are the ONLY one who got to experience him in that moment. That should make it even more special to you. Thanks for sharing the rest of the story with us😊
Chris bee don’t worry about the film. I loved every single bit of this video. I’m subscribed and I’m a very big fan. Congratulations on your deer. God bless u man.
You may not get to rewatch the hunt on video. But this will be a memory that you will never forget. I could feel it in the way you told the story. Felt like I was watching a movie. Great editing and story telling! Also a great buck!
Awesome video. Congratulations! You nailed the truth. It’s the journey to that point, the memories made and fun had. Reminded me you one hunt, last couple days of archery. Fresh snow on the ground. Deer came in at 5 yards under all the cameras. Your comment was “I didn’t get it on film, and I’m ok with that.” Well said and well done.
Hunter first. Amen to that. It’s refreshing seeing a person not skip the shot because they couldn’t get the camera set. Hunter first. Not many guys remember that when they get into the industry. I’ve watched you for a long time and you never stop amazing me with your talents and growth. Thank you for being humble and being true to yourself.
Congrats man and what a story. Love your videos you’ve helped me a lot in the last year when I decided I wanted to bow hunt last fall . Been addicted since and first year ever hunting shot a 8pt after watching him for a year . The story is definitely worth it . Congrats and hope everything goes good for you man.
Chris your the most humble UA-camr I watch and I’m pretty stern on that! I’ve been watching you since the video of you shooting your bow by the camper. you came up on something I searched, you’ve really been an inspiration to me and a couple of my buddies! This video was possibly one of my favorites! Congrats man!!
Congratulations Chris! When I look back on successful hunts most often instinct took over and released that arrow or pulled that trigger, with surprise, then confirmation of who we are as hunters.
I agree with what everyone is saying on here. Excellent production. You told the story that every hunter wants to tell, but often doesn't. It's a personal, emotional moment after harvesting an animal, especially one with so much history with you. Not getting it on film was better in the end because we all walk away thinking about what makes hunting truly great.
It may not be on video but you will remember that shot for the rest of your life. That’s what this great sport of bow hunting is all about & why we all love it so much!! Congrats on the buck of a lifetime
Bowhunter First.... UA-cam sensation Second... Keep that attitude always bro. Love the content and this is why I watch everyone of your video's over and over every year. Awesome buck and even better memories for you.
Watching people miss a shot opportunity from trying to get it on camera is way worse. Don’t over commercialize hunting, go hunting and do what you can. Great video!
I agree with most of the other comments....you did not need to get the shot on film! Your emotions told a story we all hunters are familiar with...we could all picture the shot just fine! Congratulations on another great hunt and deer!
Absolute stud man! And on top of that, an incredible job filming and creating an awesome story for us to follow along and get to enjoy! Keep up the good work, God bless🙌🏼👏🏼
Last couple weeks Ive been thinking it was time for Bee to drop a dope video. This one didnt disappoint. Awesome buck and even better story. As real hunters we dont care that you didnt get it on film. Congrats. You deserve it
Awesome Video, Anyone else absolutely LOVE that he shot powerline off camera. You can tell he LOVES bow hunting and that action sums it up right there. Awesome video Chris.
Congrats Chris 👊. I’ve hunted whitetail once in my life and haven’t been too interested in hunting them because I live out west and I have many other tags each year. This story and hunt gives me the midwest whitetail itch just a little 🤏. Great story. Well done 👍
Glad to see the Hunter in you took over ! We need more of that to teach the kids why we are really out there. Our grandpas deer hunting stories are great to hear and they weren’t on film
Great story telling. Last chapter in the book, you think you might know how it’s going to go, but you and Power-line had that final private moment. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations Man!! I’m so happy for you!! Great video, and even more awesome story!! Once again you make me proud to be a bow hunter and thanks for everything you do for OUR community!!
Chris, you are the best there are, and will probably stay that way forever, you're a role model, an excellent bowhunter *whether that be in Alaska, or anywhere else*, you're the best Chris, and my favorite. Keep up the good work, good luck.
No apologies necessary. Awesome buck. The hard work paid off. Congratulations I have a similar story not getting it on video. I arrowed a mule deer and left my camera in my pack at my stand. I tracked him and unknowingly walked up to him 3’!!! He charged me, knocked me down a hill and my release was at his feet. I walked up grabbed my release and finished him. Watch for the podcast. I am in touch trying to get my story out.
I did something similar this year with my target buck. Making other food plots in hopes he shows back up and utilizes them and it all came together for me this year on the largest deer I have shot. A 260lb 4.5 year old northern mn giant.
I think it was you in a earlier video said how hard it is to solo film because you have to shoot the Buck twice . Sometimes you can only shoot once. Congratulations on another great buck .
Chris, we need more of the story line hunts, this was really entertaining and true to the sport of hunting, amazing work and congrats on a beautiful buck🤙🏽
Congrats on the huge deer. You got given the chance of a lifetime and you took the shot. Powerline, is for sure one for the records. Such an amazing mature buck. Congrats Chris….very well done video all through from start to end…well told story line and camera video….a lot of effort into the whole thing…you have came a long way bud from shooting video in the back yard with your sister to a seasoned pro….congrats goat 😊
Great story Chris! I have seen them all but this may be my favorite. I could feel the moment when you layed down with your deer. Great story. 🎉congratulations
Congratulations, I really think it is for the better that you didn’t get it on camera. At the end of the day, the life of the animal is more important than the UA-cam video. Congratulations, amazing video brother.
I think the viewers saw a different side through this video. You stepped it up in every way- editing, storytelling, emotions; being real. Awesome video brother- congratulations
I was going to write a very similar comment... Great job Chris. I'm a fan of the "story" type of editing and video that was produced here.
I’ve watched a lot of hunting films, Chris. This is one of my favorites, ever, and I almost never leave comments. That scene with you laying next to him is one of the best ever done in a deer film. Congratulations, sir.
It will be one of my all time favorites. Thanks man.

I think we need a trophy room tour !!! Congrats buddy he’s a stud that’s what it’s all about

Like other have said, I rarely comment on videos but this one blew me away! Had chills all over at the end of this video...amazing work!
What a story! Even without the shot this definitely by far one of my favorite video's you have made yet! Great job!
The end was the best part for sure. Taking everything in about that deer and the memories and things you had with it. Congrats
Congrats man and what a story. Love your videos you’ve helped me a lot in the last year when I decided I wanted to bow hunt last fall . Awesome video once again! Honestly you are one of the biggest reasons why I made the switch to Mathews. Love ya!!! keep up the great work!

Great story telling. Last chapter in the book, you think you might know how it’s going to go, but you and Power-line had that final private moment. Thanks for sharing.
This one was special Chris, congrats!
I love the new format of your videos keep it up!😊
I hate when people don’t take the shot because it’s not on film. To each their own I guess but I’m glad you let it fly congrats!
Congratulations Man!! I’m so happy for you!! Great video, and even more awesome story!! Once again you make me proud to be a bow hunter and thanks for everything you do for OUR community!!

One of your best videos yet.Who cares if it’s on film other than you.The story was enough for us to follow like we were there with you🔥🔥👍👍
I think it was you in a earlier video said how hard it is to solo film because you have to shoot the Buck twice . Sometimes you can only shoot once. Congratulations on another great buck .
Great video man. This is what deer hunting is rooted in! Keep telling your stories and I'll keep watching.

Congrats man! Bringing the story to an end 4 years later!
Chris, we need more of the story line hunts, this was really entertaining and true to the sport of hunting, amazing work and congrats on a beautiful buck🤙🏽
Dude , this is your sickest video yet. Love it. Great work.
Great story. Great video. Keep up the amazing work. Thank you for entertaining us and teaching us.
It's true, this is not about films, but this is about the hobby of hunting because not every moment has to be filmed, this is very cool🔥🔥🔥
Now that's what we have been missing great job on the mini movie. Make all of them like this
Great story and Beautiful Buck Chris - way to go man!
“It’s like something greater humbles me.” His name is God.
Great deer. Great hunt. Keep it coming.
The story telling is phenomenal! Congrats on an awesome season and can’t wait for the rest of the videos!

Just earned a life long fan now with this one 💪🏻
Great video, great explanation of how you realize you don’t have everything figured out. And something greater is always humbling you, that is Jesus!
Congrats on the huge deer. You got given the chance of a lifetime and you took the shot. Powerline, is for sure one for the records. Such an amazing mature buck. Watching your videos has really gotten me into hunting and you are such an inspiration for hunters alike. Keep up the awesome videos. I was thankfully able to get a doe and buck in my first ever season. Seeing you chase a buck for so long and put this level of effort, is super amazing. I hope someday I too can witness such a majestic buck in the wild.
Congrats Chris….very well done video all through from start to end…well told story line and camera video….a lot of effort into the whole thing…you have came a long way bud from shooting video in the back yard with your sister to a seasoned pro….congrats goat 😊
I LOVE this type of video seeing you BEE REAL, congrats!!!!
Great story Chris! I have seen them all but this may be my favorite. I could feel the moment when you layed down with your deer. Great story. 🎉congratulations
That was a god thing. Like you said a reset. Reminding you to slow down and enjoy why you are doing this in the first place.
Amazing buck, amazing story! Thank you Chris.
Congratulations, I really think it is for the better that you didn’t get it on camera. At the end of the day, the life of the animal is more important than the UA-cam video. Congratulations, amazing video brother.
Great video brother!
Congrats on an awesome trophy buck. You put in the time and got it done, that’s what it’s all about.
