Arcane Assylum there are people who hate him for the Terminator rant to this day and have decided he’s a complete asshole who doesn’t deserve forgiveness.
I've watched a few of Jake's interviews with actors (mostly the comic book movies) and I admire his confidence and ability to ask questions that really challenge them. He's different and original. I think the actors respect him for that too.
Such an amazing, thoughtful cast and director. Everyone is so brilliant and so immersed and so in love with the characters and story. No one else could have done this series better justice.
This is probably one of the single greatest interviews of my life. Such talent sitting in one room. All so humble and amazing. Perfect questions, perfect reactions. Just simply amazing. I was smiling the whole time
I really loved how Jake interviewed them, you can tell that he was a very excited fan of the trilogy and that it was a dream come true to be interviewing them. Jake spoke for everyone when in the end he says to Nolan "thank you for creating the best trilogy ever" ... and Christopher full of humility and simplicity answering "thank you" ... I love him! ♥ him and the cast!!
Bale is probably one of the greatest actors of all time. From his work in American Psycho and the Machinist to the Prestige and action movies like Terminator Salvation and the Batman Trilogy. He creates each character as if he was that character and it is wonderful to watch.
I love what Christian says at 3:15 so inspiring: "I just always feel like you just have to give everything. You know... it's such a honour to get to play this character. As any actor who is fortunate to get to work on anything And so you have to give EVERYTHING. You have to put everything out there."
I love how in these interviews I watch them for a couple of minutes and then I have to stop for my giggles and hysterical attacks of love for the cast and characters. It basically takes an hour to watch a video like this, but I like it this way
Damn. Watching this interview with Nolan made me realize not only was this a great trilogy, but the trilogy itself (similar to the story it told) went through a whole lot. In "Batman Begins" I think the biggest obstacle was accepting the new batman lead and story it had to tell. "The Dark Knight", we lost one of the most treasured actors of our time Heath Ledger. "The Dark Knight Rises", we lost 12 people who wanted to view this great conclusion to a great story. This Trilogy is Rock Hard!
I can't even diminish the fact how creative and thought-provoking the questions are! They try to probe into not just what the actors had to do but what they could have done in a different context. And tying that with their relationship with the movie, the moviemakers, the audience, and other past and future influences, it really brings about a fun and interactive interview. Thanks Jake for making these enjoyable (and informative) to watch :)
Jesus man I love your interview style. These guys probably get so many questions on the film, that it must be a huge relief for them to walk into this type of interview.
Anne Hathaway would have done much better as Harley Quinn then she did as Catwoman. My opinion, so far, none has done better then Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.
It is very rare to find an interviewer who can truly understand the actors as well as the film overall, but this guy really knew how to approach each question! great interviews
Only in Jakes interviews do I see the actors smile and act normal, almost as if it was just a conversation instead of an interview. If only they gave him more than 3 or 4 minutes to interview because he is just perfect for his job.
Bale, Hardy and Oldman need to work with each other atleast once a year. All 3 are on another level to most other actors these days. It would be epic to see them do more films together.
Jake Hamilton u are really an amazing interviewer I watched ur HObbit interview which lead me 2 this one and ur intelligent Qs are rare plus u are very respectful person, all the best.
i know ledger died... and im not saying they should have replaced him.. but why they never explained what happened to joker? i mean, at least tell us he was on arkham or he died as character too.
***** i didnt say anything about the games... what i meant was why didnt they mentioned him... what happened.. .i mean i know ledger died, but the character
I guess that is the nice thing about this sort of story-telling, where not everything has to be spelt out explicitly but left to subtlety; Hollywood movies tend to miss this point. Maybe that is why the ending of The Dark Knight Rises is so unforgettable, purely because we get the idea without the in-your-face happy ending of Bale and Hathaway which so many fans wanted to see, with Alfred probably, and so on. Even so, this trilogy is probably already more 'Hollywood' than Nolan's other movies.
Great interview; very insightful, funny, interesting. Awesome to see a host that is respectful of all the cast and crew and hard work put in to these films. Seriously great questions.
I love how blown away Joe and Gary seem each time Jake asks them his questions. Like they weren't expecting such in-depth questions to be asked or have such a knowledgeable interviewer. I kind of have to wonder what kind of interviews they are used to doing. Probably the kind with awkward hosts, asking inane predictable questions.
I hate you Christian Bale for being the best Batman ever and leaving us with the worst (Ben Affeleck) to pair with the best modern day Superman (Cavil)
Visiting Aurora victims, flying out a disables kid to Disney and spending time with him, calling another child in the hospital as Batman. Bale has a temper, but there are a ton of misconceptions of incidents in his past.
Best actor interviewer! He doesn't ask the usual benign shit that you'll see in 10 million other places. He explores the actors insights and the characters themselves. This totally got my sub.
Belle Doucette lol what are you talking about. No one in Wales talks like that, that’s not a Welsh accent. He’s probably putting on an accent to prepare for a role. He’s a true method actor
@Belle Doucette He has said many times that he was born in Wales but is English and he was raised in London and Portugal. And that is not a Welsh accent at all. It is an English accent.
Shame they didn't get an interview with Tom Hardy. He along with Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, JGL and Michael Caine made TDKR. Bale on the other hand sucked. Talk about miscasting. Nolan is a great director but he totally missed the mark by casting such a bland actor in Bale.
You're a great interviewer, you do a great job trying to draw parallels between the actor's experience and the character he/she's portraying. Great job!
this reporter is amazing. he was sitting there with Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman and I could still pay attention to what he was saying. Jake Hamilton, Congratulations, i Loved your questions and your attitude.
What an excellent interviewer, his questions broke cliches and really made the actors and director think and formulate answers that mattered instead of 'yeah, I really enjoyed playing the role of batman' etc. On top of all this he acted respectful and eloquent throughout. Well done Jake Hamilton.
I was surprised with how well Jake formed his interview questions and really led the conversation. The questions were narrow enough to answer in a short time but wide enough to not be formulaic and dull. Not to mention, you can really tell how much time he put into each question, especially Nolan's.
this guy has to be the best interviewer i have seen, 1st off hes very personable but god damn he has the best questions, every interview of his he just reels off great questions that make the person stop, appreciate how great the question is and then really think about the answer
I love Anne so damn much! The fact that she fancies Channing Tatum and she thought she was going to be Harley Quinn...asjajsiunsjfkldfa. Serious girl crush.
This interview was very well done. The questions were very good and the interviewer looked very excited to see them. The movie was AWESOME!!!!! Definitely seeing it again.
Jake always has the best questions and interviews. He's very perceptive and doesn't talk about just nonsense like a bunch of other entertainment journalists.
Goddamn this guy is good interviewer. Every question causes the actors to think, not unlike others who ask " so what is it like to so famous?". Keep it up jake
i usually dont watch alot of interviews... but this was really really good. great questions and it was awesome to see moments like Michael Caine talking about his mom or Christopher Nolan just...well... talking. (seriously the man is the freakn Messiah of film making anything he says about a film should be praised)
idc what the haters say I love Bale he's amazing. always will be in my eyes and that's all that matters to me.
nobody hates bale
Arcane Assylum there are people who hate him for the Terminator rant to this day and have decided he’s a complete asshole who doesn’t deserve forgiveness.
@@Jared_Wignall what did he say
pro tip: you can watch series at flixzone. Been using it for watching loads of movies these days.
@Tyson Torin yup, have been using Flixzone for since december myself :D
Bale is becoming batman.. He's so serious in this interview!
This guy asks very interesting questions. I like this guy.
That is very true. It's very awesome to see someone have original questions.
talks to fast.
Someone else in the comments said, "This guy should be an SAT proctor. " I cannot disagree with that statement.
Weird, I was thinking the exact opposite.
"Batman wears a black cape, do you like to wear black clothing?"
He did an interview with Tarantino and Tarantino loved the questions.
Christian bale always will be batman in our hearts
I've watched a few of Jake's interviews with actors (mostly the comic book movies) and I admire his confidence and ability to ask questions that really challenge them. He's different and original. I think the actors respect him for that too.
I never knew how deep Christian Bale's voice was. I never saw him give interviews, only in movies when he portrays a character
Such an amazing, thoughtful cast and director. Everyone is so brilliant and so immersed and so in love with the characters and story. No one else could have done this series better justice.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012) 100/100
Batman Begins (2005) 100/100
The Dark Knight (2008) 100/100
Andrew Hong realistically though:
BB: 7.5
TDK: 9
TDKR: 8
@@jobob8054 I'd put 10 for all of them
BB 10
TDK 9
TDKR 5
I'd go with
Batman Begins 9.6/10
The Dark Knight 10/10
The Dark Knight Rises 9/10
I love all three equally, so I give them 10/10.
Mr. Hamilton can really ask questions. Respect. Can see how well prepared he is as an interviewer.
These are actually good questions. Chris was struggling😂
This is probably one of the single greatest interviews of my life. Such talent sitting in one room. All so humble and amazing. Perfect questions, perfect reactions. Just simply amazing. I was smiling the whole time

I love Nolan's "thank you" in the end
it's like "sure, any time!"
This truly was a once in a lifetime trilogy, i feel very privileged to be both a huge batman fan as well as being around to witness these films.
I love what Christian says at 3:15 so inspiring: "I just always feel like you just have to give everything. You know... it's such a honour to get to play this character. As any actor who is fortunate to get to work on anything And so you have to give EVERYTHING. You have to put everything out there."
This is amazing! Christopher Nolan is a genius
I love how in these interviews I watch them for a couple of minutes and then I have to stop for my giggles and hysterical attacks of love for the cast and characters. It basically takes an hour to watch a video like this, but I like it this way
haha, I love how Bale does a different accent in every interview.
the best batman of.all time
I like Hollywood's new strategy; give British cast and crew the money and let them take care of it. Not being flippant, it works!
Anne Hathaway: You can bleep this out.
Also Anne Hathaway: fudge
Damn. Watching this interview with Nolan made me realize not only was this a great trilogy, but the trilogy itself (similar to the story it told) went through a whole lot. This was the best-conducted interview I've ever seen. #wow
joseph gordon-levitt is such a darling, he is....
This is the best way to make the batman movies realistic
"thank you for creating the greatest trilogy in history" LOL EPIC!!!
Wow, the best batman and superman so far (bale and cavill) are both british and both change their accents really convincing
Jesus man I love your interview style. These guys probably get so many questions on the film, that it must be a huge relief for them to walk into this type of interview.
I love the interviewer's final comment to CN, "Thank you for creating the single greatest trilogy in the history of mankind."
Anne Hathaway would have done much better as Harley Quinn then she did as Catwoman. My opinion, so far, none has done better then Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.
The trilogies were well written, dam love it.
It is very rare to find an interviewer who can truly understand the actors as well as the film overall, but this guy really knew how to approach each question! great interviews

Anne Hathaway should play WASP in future Marvel Cinematic Universe Films! She has the looks!
Im glad tht alfred wasnt just a butler he played a major role in Mr. Waynes life.
i would give everything to take a look into the mind of a genius like Christopher Nolan...
Bale, Hardy and Oldman need to work with each other atleast once a year. All 3 are on another level to most other actors these days. It would be epic to see them do more films together.
Michael Caine always makes me cry. What a wonderful story about his father.
God, Morgan Freeman's voice is so great.
when he asked Michael Caine about an actor who got stuck on the role, is that heath ledger they talkin bout?
Jake Hamilton u are really an amazing interviewer
I watched ur HObbit interview which lead me 2 this one and ur intelligent Qs are rare plus u are very respectful person, all the best.
Finally an Interviewer asking interesting questions and not repetitive dribble :)
This guy is the best interviewer I have ever seen. Incredible, thought-provoking questions. Thank you Jake!
14:49 great story by michael caine
i know ledger died... and im not saying they should have replaced him.. but why they never explained what happened to joker? i mean, at least tell us he was on arkham or he died as character too.
Totally different man. Nolans batman was nothing to do with the games.
***** i didnt say anything about the games... what i meant was why didnt they mentioned him... what happened.. .i mean i know ledger died, but the character
Arkham does appear in Batman Begins tho. He wasn't talking about the games
Becomes Nolan wanted it to be a mystery. Joker comes out of nowhere, and goes nowhere.
I guess that is the nice thing about this sort of story-telling, where not everything has to be spelt out explicitly but left to subtlety; Hollywood movies tend to miss this point. Is it me or Christian talks so fuckin quietly that I have to volume up my speakers?
Bale, Hathaway, Oldman, Freeman, Caine, Gordon-Levitt ... wow a great staff of talented actors. Dark knight should continue. Reboot is crazy.
He's obviously playing a New Yorker in the near future. Brilliant actor.
tbh its good bale stopped batman because American hustle was amazing
Bale is the best batman not like George clooneys version, Clooney as Batman feels like a male gigolo.... Bale is the perfect guy for the plot..
17:26
Chris Nolan "Its' Just coincedence"
John Blake: "I'm a detective now. There's no such thing as coincedence"
Great interview; very insightful, funny, interesting. Awesome to see a host that is respectful of all the cast and crew and hard work put in to these films. Seriously great questions.

I'm the real Batman. I going to clean up Washington next!
I hate you Christian Bale for being the best Batman ever and leaving us with the worst (Ben Affeleck) to pair with the best modern day Superman (Cavil)
How do you know Ben Affleck is the worst Batman? Have you watched the movie?
Great actor.
Lunatic Saix do i need to mention the daredevil movie
jacob piovarchy That movie came out 11 years ago. Ben has grown as an actor. He'll do fine.
the pain still exists
Tom Hardy the best bane ever and of course heath ledger the best joker ever, no matter how many more batman movies they make
Such an awesome interviewer. So excited and so interested in his subject and respectful of his interviewees
Visiting Aurora victims, flying out a disables kid to Disney and spending time with him, calling another child in the hospital as Batman.
Bale has a temper, but there are a ton of misconceptions of incidents in his past.
When he asked that question about an actor diving too deep into a role he was talking about Heath Ledger
He forgot Tom Hardy! :/
I think the title was wrong, Read the description
Ben affleck will do his best and next batman will be good.
i didnt like affleck as batman as much as i like bale.
go fuck yourself.
Best actor interviewer! He doesn't ask the usual benign shit that you'll see in 10 million other places. He explores the actors insights and the characters themselves. This totally got my sub.
the interviewer is great! excellent questions and he makes the actor feel comfortable unlike the other movie interviewers
what's wrong with christian's voice?
@Belle Doucette He is English who happened to be born in Wales.

Yeah American psycho, The fighter, The prestige, 3:10 to Yuma etc... Yeah he is a bland actor.
I don't think you know what you're saying.
You're a great interviewer, you do a great job trying to draw parallels between the actor's experience and the character he/she's portraying. Great job!
Morgan Freeman's reaction when Michael Caine was talking about his family ❣️
This guy asks deep questions loads of respect for him
this reporter is amazing. he was sitting there with Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman and I could still pay attention to what he was saying.
Jake Hamilton, Congratulations, i Loved your questions and your attitude.
Sitting in front of Caine and Freeman is an honor, few of the remaining good actors and people dedicated to their craft. Lucky, Jake.
What an excellent interviewer, his questions broke cliches and really made the actors and director think and formulate answers that mattered instead of 'yeah, I really enjoyed playing the role of batman' etc. On top of all this he acted respectful and eloquent throughout. Well done Jake Hamilton.
I like that interviewer, he actually researches the franchises he's interviewing and doesnt bore the actors
Christopher nolan just made bane batmans most notorious vilian and i love it cuz now Mr. Nolan just made bane my favorite villian ever.
hes just being nice. the world needs people who can appreciate good actors and their movies.
I wish the Christian bale interview could have been 10+ minutes ;( The interviewer has great questions.
I was surprised with how well Jake formed his interview questions and really led the conversation. The questions were narrow enough to answer in a short time but wide enough to not be formulaic and dull. Not to mention, you can really tell how much time he put into each question, especially Nolan's.
Thanks again for this lovely collection of interviews.
this guy has to be the best interviewer i have seen, 1st off hes very personable but god damn he has the best questions, every interview of his he just reels off great questions that make the person stop, appreciate how great the question is and then really think about the answer
Awesome interview @jakethemovieguy, and thanks for posting this video too.
Jake Hamilton is pretty brilliant and interviews...
This interviewer is probably one of the best I've ever seen
I love Anne so damn much! The fact that she fancies Channing Tatum and she thought she was going to be Harley Quinn...asjajsiunsjfkldfa. Serious girl crush.
This guy charmed Joaquin Phoenix too while he was interviewing for the Joker.
I love Jake and Anne together! They obviously know each other, like each other and have kind of the same energy/intensity! And I love that! :)
I love how jake is not pressing the actors to answer questions that they don't want to answer !
Goddamn this guy is good interviewer. Every question causes the actors to think, not unlike others who ask " so what is it like to so famous?". Keep it up jake
Single greatest honour to have watched you interview these people, Jake haha. Great job.
I genuinely think he should start a chat show. Hes so cool and engaging with everyone he talks to.
Wow really impressed with the interviewer, very respectful and he actually has some knowledge!
This interviewer is really good. I really like his approach on this. I see him going all the way
i usually dont watch alot of interviews... but this was really really good. great questions and it was awesome to see moments like Michael Caine talking about his mom or Christopher Nolan just...well... talking. (seriously the man is the freakn Messiah of film making anything he says about a film should be praised)
I can literally listen to them all day long.
You can tell the interviewer is a great fan of Nolan's Batman movies, I love that.
probably best interview i ever watched, never heard bout this Jake guy but he was asking very cool questions.cheers
Thanks guys
the best interviewer i have seen, awesome job jake
