These guys are purveyors of metal - prog - industrial and more. One of the most original bands ever formed. Nothing like this comes out any more. Because no one is as real about the process. LOVE IT!
I was always a fan from joy division and a metal head (really dig industrial) but started listening to killin joke like recently, man you can see it influenced like EVERYTHING afterwards, and their newest albums are cool as fuck too
I can´t get enough of this interlude right at the beginning where Jaz stops the music for a few secs and asks very pertinent answers to pretty rhetorical questions - it´s just epic ! As iconic as Dead´s intro to " Freezing moon " in a somewhat different context . Not an easy thing to do , at all , usually " intros " are pretty : " yeah , yeah , go get foked and get on with it ... "
I'm not British, so I don't know all the details of the politics, but the way he does it sends a chill up my spine. Such a stop-you-in-your-tracks style of presentation.
This was their 25th Anniversary tour, I saw them 3 times in in my last 3 years in the UK 2003, 04 & 05 this show at the Shephards Bush Empire being the last.
