This isn’t really correct…especially the beginning. They started making an all in one IMU and the first phantom was literally just a plastic shell for that same IMU. They made the money that they used to scale off the early hobby RC drone segment. They were effectively Traxxas but for quad copters. They sold some frames as well called the flame wheel.

Because they took advantage of American military technology that was made to destroy Americas enemies but Chinese companies saw the opportunity to destroy everyone who had money in their pockets to get rich 😂😂😂
