@Young Tang wtf is wrong with you? ever learned about south american history? thats why some of them are slum an corrupted. has nothing to do with the people themselves. The US is full of corruption itself, but its just masterminded by the finance, industry and politics and it's not that obvious as in other countries.

I've worked in factories before but never got fed like that! When I think of Chinese factories I always picture a sweatshop in some dingy building. Very interesting to see an actual factory! Great video.

This factory looks better than the auto parts factory i worked in for a short time in the US. and that one actually was a sweat shop. no ac and hot as hell in summer (up to 90F heat). i left because it was a depressing environment. working 12hr a day for 5-7 days a week in 90F heat fk that nonsense. i was so tired i'd fall asleep working all the time. I'm not going to spend my life working like a horse being whipped till they drop then whipped again till they get back up.. how could anyone enjoy a life like that?
I only got to work 5 days a week because i was such a quick worker i was the backbone of the whole line even though i was in the middle of it. No one can keep up with my production numbers and the line is suffering after i left. they're back on 12hr 7days and pretty far behind schedule. I just couldn't work like that anymore...

DarkShadowsX5 the thing is there always have to be someone to take this kind of jobs.
Now days, workers in factory like this can make around US$1000 a month, and that's pretty descent, more than a entry level white collar job in most Chinese cities. 10 years ago, they only get paid about $300 monthly.
Now more and more factories are moving to place like Vietnam, where people are willing to work for less than $200 a month.

There are federal regulations that mandate a good work environment. Working in heat is literally bad for your health. No matter how easy it is to legally get fired in your state, the federal laws means you can easily win a nice settlement if they fire you for complaining or refusing to work under those conditions.

Anyway, I'm always surprised at how much access you guys have to all these factories here. I mean I've been living here for 4 years and I'm a native Chinese, but I have to break through the great firewall, log onto UA-cam and watch videos you guys made from my home country. Man I need to go out more. Probably dig through some contacts on my supply chain and ask if I can take a tour around their factories. I've never been curious enough to do so, perhaps because they just seem to show up in packs nearby and I've never wondered what's inside, lol.

One wonder if they use a cobalt compound to mitigate the problems that high temperatures create shorting the battery life.... (May be that was the reason they don't allow you to film that first area..) most of those batteries that last 2, 3 and up to 4 years of service usually have an alloy to mitigate the rapid oxidation/electron migration that brick them in not time....
