- So it turns out that when you return something to Amazon, instead of restocking it, they auction it off in giant liquidation palettes - where you can get thousands of dollars of stuff for a few hundred dollars!! It feels kind of like an abandoned storage unit except all online - so I bought one and unboxed it all to see if it was really as good of a deal as it looks! The Internet Made Me Buy It - but after seeing this, would you?

So the mini "condoms" we actually do call finger comdoms lol. Im a chef, and those are used if you say cut your finger and put a band aid on...you put the finger condom on so you arent touching peoples food with a band aided finger.

Hahaha literally just replied this to Saf's pinned comment and even said I knew someone else had likely said it already, I just hadn't scanned the comment section. They'll be so much more appreciated at a women's/homeless shelter for people trying to get jobs and get their lives back to some normalcy as you say. Just doing your hair makes you feel better sometimes, even if it's a tiny pause in the day, you get those few minutes of feeling good about yourself.

Fun fact: This was actually an initiative taken on by Amazon after a team of interns suggested it around 3 years ago. My friend was a part of that team. It's great to see it up and running. So Amazon is associated with Liquidation.com? I am looking for clarfication, because I Googled this company and looked it up on the Better Business Bureau and it has TERRIBLE REVIEWS! I would be very disappointed if AMazon is in ANY way connected!
Saf, please donate the beauty stuff to a women’s shelter and the other stuff to a regular shelter. The sock thing would be great for disabled people living in a shelter and women in shelters generally don’t get access to flat irons and hair removers that might help them look nice for interviews.

Nicole Bryan yeah I went to a shelter for abused women and children and we didn’t leave supplies there but we provided haircuts/styles and I painted nails. It was a really fun experience and the ladies had so much fun. One lady even got a job interview that very same day!

They aren't true syringes like you would use to inject vaccines or something. They're the kind that's used for liquid medicine or kitten/puppy formula, and some people use them in crafts as well. My cat was recently on amoxicillin and I had to give it to her using a syringe like that.
The finger cots are SO useful. They're used by chefs when they cut their fingers and need to continue cooking. I purchased a bag for myself because I'm so clumsy in the kitchen, and they've saved me SO many times. Also great for covering regular finger cuts/burns before a shower so your injuries or dressings don't come in contact with water. They're actually really good for sewing through thick fabrics that require a really firm grip on the needle, so you're not losing grip of the needle when you try to yank it through your fabric. And they're also good for gripping body jewelry that you have a hard time removing.

I cut myself a lot because I am accident prone and they are wonderful for when it happens at work or I have to go to work. And yes to the shower thing... never thought about the sewing or jewellery but brilliant.

My boss always forgets to order them, so I just snip the fingers off regular gloves. Wearing a whole glove for one cut finger is really irritating...and gross when it starts to sweat

Hey don't knock dumpster diving!!! For example last weekend I got a half-dozen area rugs and in good condition, two new bissell's one of the handheld -and a full-size (in great condition), as well as a portable heater & an air conditioner, a bunch of scented candle wax, some curtains, king size sheet, a nice unicorn mask & wall hanging, three pair of adult footie pajamas, and much much more. And for the record it was all clean because the nasty garbage was in bags!
The “finger condoms” are for usually kitchen use, whenever you cut your finger we usually put a bandaid on it and put one of those on afterwards so it doesn’t fall off and stay sanitary while we keep working.
Those finger condoms are used in restaurants and can be used at home, too. If you cut your finger while cooking, you put it on to keep it from bleeding and protect your finger from anything else that would make it hurt more. (Like lemon juice or vinegar.)
I know they're also sometimes used to handle crystal and similar materials so that you don't leave fingerprints on them! Like say when they install a crystal chandelier.
Alicia Strnad Hoalcraft I do a lot of art using wax pastels and I use them so my fingers don’t get all gross when I’m blending and that I can change colors without them getting muddy.
We have blue ones at work. We call them Smurf condoms.

This is perfect for people who hate having to go out and buy generic gifts for people. Like that one order would last multiple years of birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, and white elephants lol.
A good donation idea is domestic violence shelters...many women leave home with their kids and the clothes on their back.
I’m a dumpster diver and I give nearly everyone away and it’s so so much I’ve had to learn who to donate to and how to channel those resources.
Shelters are really great since it’s people who need to start over so they’re willing to take it all since they need it all.
Those places run on donations and the objective is to get people out of dangerous situations and on their own two feet, every little bit helps.
I’ve found that animal shelters, and DV shelters are the most grateful and efficient with donations. I do give odds and ends to the goodwill and Salvation Army etc, but the way I look at it they’re open for sale and PROFIT, granted they customer base can usually use the deal.
A beauty school gets tuition, they don’t need any more money.

Watchmakers also use finger cots to prevent oil/acid from their fingers transferring when repairing or servicing a watch movement. It’s more comfortable to wear finger cots on a couple of fingers than gloves which get uncomfortably sweaty.
They are also used in the food industry to protected cuts on fingers since bandaids get wet and aren't always practical long term
They're also good for giving your cat transdermal meds in their ear without dosing yourself through your skin accidentally... like for example, my boy needs Prozac 😩

I think it would be really amazing if you could find a charity such as “dress for success” or something along those lines to donate the beauty products to. That way men and women trying to get back out in the workforce that’s been down on their luck could use it to make themselves feel better and look better for job interviews or employment options. Just an idea 😊

For those who are wondering, The amazon only selling unused items thing is a lie. I work Amazon returns at Kohls and they litterly take your items and remove our labels [sometimes with a box cutter] and send them to the next person most of whome pay for and expect a new item. I Became aware if this practice after I had I had two very nice ladies return the same broken item several months apart still broken and when the second lady returned it the tape was untouched and you could see where they literly took a box cutter and cut our two labels off.
Other pre used items I've had returned to me where thermometers and water filters, and once a vacuum with the previous owners dirt still in it.
My theory is [now atlest] the liquidated things are whats been bounced around to much with some new things added to throw off suspicion.
Also I wanted to add that I thought that the liquidation policy was the actual policy and was horrified to find contrary proof through my work.
Who else has realized that a lot of her videos are trending? She really deserves it though with all the work and time and money she puts in it. I have been watching her since Buzzfeed and I loved her then and her content so I love being able to see her and her content without everyone else. She has gotten so popular so quick and I can tell why! I've been here since about 1 million and you are by far my favorite UA-camr 💕

finger cots are actually a decent art supply, to keep your fingers clean when working with charcoal/loose pigments. as a sfw medical supply they're good for keeping bandages dry if you've got cuts on your hands but a whole glove is unwieldy.
HockityPock also really good for eating messy finger food like wings and other foods.

The ideal box for a hoarder with chronic health conditions! As someone who almost fits the first part and defiantly fits the second, I would have been ecstatic to get most of those medical type products.

Fingercots are VERY useful! Speaking as a former chef, fingercots keep cooks on the line because they cover cuts and burns. There are some cooks who just can't wear rubber or even nitrile gloves when they work. If it weren't for fingercots they would have to stay home, unpaid, until their cuts or burns healed and there was no more broken skin.
If you have no other use for the shower chair, I could really use it. i think he means that every returned product is send to liquaditon pallets - that means it will be destroyed for nothing - every sort of power/matter that went to create it will be for nothing - and how can you see there is a lot of Unused still packaged products that would be ok to resell normally instead of destroying them - like people buy them but realize before opening that they cannot affor it or they already got one, so they return it but it still go to this site
Also don’t ever lose the DEESS pamphlet. You have to follow the instructions because it works by the color of your skin. If your darker I believe you have to use it a few more times in the same area. I did a vid last year on it.

It actually does. It took me a bit to get used to it. Heck, I’m still a bit frightened by the flash of the laser.
But besides that, it actually makes my hairs thinner and they don’t come back as fast as they do when I shave or wax. You do have to have time and patience to use the machine. My first two times, I kept turning off the machine by mistake because I was scared of the flash. But, once you get the hang of it, just make sure to carve out some time because you have to go over the same area a few times.

The finger condoms are good to use if you cut your finger, you cut your finger clean it banage then put a finger condom over it to help keep the area dry. We kept them on hand in the restuant I used to work at.

Just so we're clear Amazon DOES simply resell a lot of returns even when they are opened. I've bought some of them and they sometimes even have a sticker that thanks you for giving the item a second chance. Only a portion goes to auctions and stuff.

You dont have to oay for return shipping if you are returning in 30 days return window and if you are returning because is damaged or defective. You can use tha option even though you are not returning because of that so you won't pay for shipping.
