Dude ... I've seen Neil 22 times in concert. Never missed a show since 1980. The last one was July 26, 2017 in Seattle, WA. He was on his 50th Anniversary World Tour. 6 months later the world heard the news that he had to retire from touring due to Parkinson's Disease just 3 days before his 78th birthday in 2018. The man is a class act. Neil's career and song catalog spans 50+ years. The tunes were catchy. His music from the 60's, 70's and 80's are good decades to choose from .. Holy Holly .. Brother loves travelin salvation show .. cherry cherry .. crunchy granola suite .. i am i said .. solitary man .. just to name a few. React to these from his "Hot August Night" LIVE album 1972. You could spend weeks delving into Neil his voice is smooth a hell and in the 70's he was everywhere. Great Neil Diamond story. (He went to the same HS as my parents!) On 7/4/78 he played in Toronto. My then fiancee was a huge fan, me not so much. Back then we used flash bulbs. He stopped playing in the middle of a song & asked the crowd with cameras to make their way down to the front of the stage. Then, explaining the flash hurts his eyes, he said on the count of 3 everyone take your pix, then no more. At 3, he started posing, smiling, the place just lit up! Everyone returned to their seats & not a single flash went off the rest of the show. What an experience! While not a fan, this song is the best one IMO. Keep my music flowing, Brother Jamel!!
Neil Diamond is one of those artists that today, nobody will admit they like to anyone else that is around. But….people all Love Diamond songs when they come on!
@Jamel, I want to thank you for keeping great music alive, and also for, after so many years, (I'm 66) really taking notice to the words of so many songs. When I was growing up, I liked the tune of a lot of songs, this being one of them, and just sang along quietly, never taking the time to hear the words. You've had me "hearing the message" on so many songs in the couple of years I've been following you. So Thank You again, I really appreciate what you do and your channel.
This is probably one of my favorites of Neil's work. The way the song starts out slow and low and builds up, celebrating the simple joys of love. So much happiness in his voice. Great hooks, great lyrics, great production.
I used to tell my husband that if I came home from work and Neil Diamond was playing that it was time for ‘sitting by the fire’ time. Neil’s deep voice hits me viscerally. It is unfortunate that the music people looked at Neil as just a light weight pop singer. He was criticized for incorporating instruments other than guitar and drums. Another critics was that he was too popular. Is it an American thing to tear down success? He has been music in my life since high school; I’m 68 now.
THANK YOU for finally getting to this song 💓. People everywhere are focusing on the wrong things (money, power, status), instead of love, peace & kindness. The joy & contentment being with the ones you love.
Although Sweet Caroline is his best known song, his signature tune is Solitary Man and the best version is on the on live set Hot August Night. A MUST listen.

Great choice! Love anything by Neil. Thank you sir!
So glad you got around to Neil! PLEASE listen to "Holly Holy" - you will love it.
This is probably one of my favorites of Neil's work. The way the song starts out slow and low and builds up, celebrating the simple joys of love. So much happiness in his voice. Great hooks, great lyrics, great production.
This is my favorite Neil Diamond song! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Love on the Rocks please
So happy you are reacting to more Neil Diamond. He is a true legend…has been referred to as the Jewish Elvis!🔥❤️💎
I love my Blue Jeans, this makes me love Jeans even more! Thanks for keeping great music alive, it is really amazing! Your amazing
Great stuff! Love it. Gotta listen to "Coming to America! Great patriotic song from Neil.
I'm almost 50 and this was my favorite song in the 70s. Neil has a golden voice, not a bad song from him.
THANK YOU for finally getting to this song 💓. People everywhere are focusing on the wrong things (money, power, status), instead of love, peace & kindness. The joy & contentment being with the ones you love.
I hope you follow this rabbit hole a while... Neil has MANY epic songs. I am. I said. Love on the Rocks. Brother Loves Traveling Salvation Show
Although Sweet Caroline is his best known song, his signature tune is Solitary Man and the best version is on the on live set Hot August Night. A MUST listen.
