7:00 Let’s be honest, this is what every amiibo box deserves! They make it so difficult to remove the actual Amiibo that I can’t be bothered to preserve the box.

The rectangle box looked like it could fit the Japan lottery master sword, kinda disappointed it wasn't.
People already 3D print that sword btw. Be careful when purchasing online.. it could be forgery.
And none of those Kits came with the Broken Master Sword that Zion wants so much. 🤣

That goodie box was very underwhelming

The collector edition of TOTK is kinda of a letdown for me tbh, I expected better stuff considering it's 30 dollars more than BOTW'd master collection and that came with a master sword statue and a whole Switch Case.
Missed opportunity to edit in the “chest opening” sound when you showed the inside of the case.
I like how, out of all the games that exist, it's "Doshin the Giant" that's displayed in the background. 😆

If I wasn’t getting a steam deck I would have that switch. I got on the Oled when it came out. Got the collectors and case but can’t find the controller still.
My collectors edition hasn’t arrived yet, it’s killing me😩😩😩
I like that pro controller but that white handle is driving me nuts. Why not make it gold or green?

I get the TotK OLED, the accompanying pro controller and the case. I can also understand artbooks and - with some reluctance - the amibo. Medallions in oversized cardboard boxes and pin sets completely lost me. A clear sign of too much hype.
The pins come with the art book, it's all part of a collector's set. Pins and nevermind are extremely traditional collector items for sooooo many things. They're certainly not something everyone will want, but collectors the to love that, as having a complete set after a few years becomes a point of pride after non collectors lose pieces etc
I don't bother with collector's editions because I don't have places to keep so much random stuff for everything I like and enjoy, and it gets very expensive. So, I don't think it's too much hype since it's optional. The people who will appreciate it will love it.
You are right of course. Some people will enjoy it - I’m happy for them. It’s just not for me because it doesn’t have anything to do with the game itself. 😊

I was lucky enough to get all this stuff from the Nintendo UK site, including the Zelda OLED (and except the PR box 😅) - the delivery boxes absolutely had me! But now I don't want to recycle it and they're clogging up my house 😂

I'm sold my collectors edition when i found out we only got softcover for the artbook, yes u heard that SOFTCOVER!! without the emboss/deboss as well as the spotUV (glossy spots) finishing. N the fact that it costs more after conversion compared to in the US. Kinda felt bummed out so decided to sell it and save the fund in case they release other merch or the more complete artbook, i love the Making a Champion Hero's Edition, felt more worthwhile than this set.
You lucky, lucky man. I just got a small memorial coin instead of the huge medallion with my collector’s edition I bought straight from Nintendo Netherlands.
Only way to get the full physical experience, is to have a dehydrated man take your arm off lol

I was actually so disappointed in the Switch case... Doesn't compare in quality to the blue Breath of the Wild case I've had for ages. It doesn't ecen have a handle... 🙄

The print quality may be great, but no way they're using that printer again because that's where it leaked from. The paper is probably thin because the pages were too hard to turn without accidentally folding them in the older art books.
Funny they threw the preorder coin/medallion and luggage tag into the press kit. Cheapens it a bit but the other stuff is top tier.
Immediately had to send in my Zelda Pro controller for repair because the left stick had drift 🥲

I was going for collectors edtion and then I accidently unsubcribed from the early access and could not get it which was annoying as I wanted to look through the art work but ultimately not an issue. I did however get the coin and notebook bundle along with the amiibo. I am not interested in the switch case as I still use my blue botw one granted got it last year shortly after getting my first and only switch standard one. It will be a matter of time when displate will do their version of the metal poster if they have not already done one yet

Could they release a "collector's edition" of a game that, instead of all this unnecessary BS, included simply an instruction manual? I want the cartridge, the game case, and a manual, even if just a 10-page one that describes a few basics about the game, and/or has a page or two of story and character art or descriptions.
Those are really the only things any game ever needs to be released with. Cartridge, case, manual. Keep it simple. No needless nonsense.
Pins? Seriously? No one is ever going to wear those, anywhere, ever. Luggage tags? WTF? Did they design this for the rich corporate executives who own Nintendo?
It damn sure isn't meant for serious gamers. Serious gamers really just care about gaming. And most of the things in this edition do not assist with that simple priority. Maybe this could also appeal to those fake poser gamers who just collect fancy special editions that sit on their shelves for multiple decades without ever being played on account of their owners being poser scum who don't actually care about playing games. This will be a good item for those a-holes to hoard for a long time and then try to sell for $10,000 around 20 years from now.
The collectors edition is pretty lame compared to the breath of the wild. It’s a collectors edition I have no regrets passing on. If it had a statue of some kind it would be better. Especially a decayed master sword. The pins are lame and there will be a better artbook.
