I have bad news for you, black characters are almost universally perceived as less attractive than white ones. Notable exceptions being tan characters but those have asian/Caucasian appearance just darker skin. The only black characters I can think of is Vivienne from dragon age series who isn't a standard of video game beauty. Thus if you as a gamer prioritize pretty characters you won't be buying any games with leading black ppl anytime soon

Ubisoft's mistake was making Yasuke playable. There's been many historical figures that interacted with AC protagonists in the past, but playing as an historical figure destroys the believability of the plot.
besides, this was always the formula: you play as a fictional character who interacts with historical figures. Now, the representation of these historical figures is not always accurate (just look at Marx in AC syndicate), but it is still acceptable. If they made Yasuke an ally, people wouldn't mind, even if they made him a samurai (which he never was - as he was in Japan for just over a year, making it hardly possible for him to even speak Japanese fluently much less become a noble)

It could well be in the game like other misplaced or offender materials like shoe storage racks for removing shoes upon entry into a home, which exists as a cultural practice but is more of a modern one. Ubisoft's representation of Japan is beyond abysmal. In the trailer and early game footage alone you can see the following. Cherry Blossoms, Sakura, blooming which happens in April. Someone eating Persimmons which commonly bear fruit in November. The Suzuki plants, also known as Japanese Anemones, tend to look like that in October.
Don't forget they used *Chinese* architecture at some points. Because I guess to them all Asian things look the same. Needless to say, Japanese fans were less than amused by that.

Yasuke not acting like a Samurai in battle. 8. Yasuke being treated as a God when everyone is just bowing to him. 9. Ubisoft being involved with the edits around Yasuke on Wikipedia. 10. Ubisoft using Chinese Mandarin in the Kanji in a game set in Feudal Japan. 11. The pushing of LGBT stuff into the game (which also makes no sense in the realm of the animus). 12. Ubisoft working with a writer who main "prominent" work is about monks being in relationships with young boys. 13. Ubisoft stealing the sword of Zoro from One Piece for Yasuke. I got Unsubed, it's my first time! I was introduced to AC1 by my big brother Asa, and he bought AC2 because he liked laughing at how I ignored the whole assassin thing and just counter killed 15 to 20 guards on the rooftop when it was time to go back to Malik. I grew to love stealth aspect of the game, as well as what seemed like a rigorous adherence to the accuracy of the historical settings they depicted. I also practice kendo, a popular sport and martial art in japan that carries on many of the traditions of Bushido, even here in the U.S. A Samurai would surly balk at the idea of a 6'2 warrior, trained in the way of kenjustu, sneaking around and stabbing people in the back. Shomen ni rei, to all those who sacrificed that we may learn.
The moment 'patriarchal' or just patriarchy is brought up in the same sentence as 'gaming', I immediately lose all respect for the writer. And then proceed to laugh as I read it.

The whole concept of a silent majority has never made sense to me. A majority doesn’t need to be given a voice, because they are the majority of people. Their voices are heard all the time. It’s minority groups that often need to try and boost their voices, because there aren’t many of them and they are easily drowned out.

It could well be in the game like other misplaced or offender materials like shoe storage racks for removing shoes upon entry into a home, which exists as a cultural practice but is more of a modern one. I can't imagine Yasuke walking into a smaller home only to utter, "Sorry milord, just need to remove shoes at your doorstep and place them in a convenient rack by your abode's inner entrance!"

7. Yasuke not acting like a Samurai in battle.
8. Yasuke being treated as a God when everyone is just bowing to him.
9. Ubisoft being involved with the edits around Yasuke on Wikipedia.
10. Ubisoft using Chinese Mandarin in the Kanji in a game set in Feudal Japan.
11. The pushing of LGBT stuff into the game (which also makes no sense in the realm of the animus).
12. Ubisoft working with a writer who main "prominent" work is about monks being in relationships with young boys.
13. Ubisoft stealing the sword of Zoro from One Piece for Yasuke.
Also the double standards media has to glorify Yasuke killing a bunch of Japanese people yet these same people attacked the likes of RE5. The double standards also continue with the people praising this game, a game that doesn't pay 100% correct tribute to Japan, were the ones attacking Ghost Of Tsushima, which did try to be as accurate as possible, simply because it was made an entirely European team.

I grew to love stealth aspect of the game, as well as what seemed like a rigorous adherence to the accuracy of the historical settings they depicted. I also practice kendo, a popular sport and martial art in japan that carries on many of the traditions of Bushido, even here in the U.S. A Samurai would surly balk at the idea of a 6'2 warrior, trained in the way of kenjustu, sneaking around and stabbing people in the back. Shomen ni rei, to all those who sacrificed that we may learn.
