Elvis had such a sweet spirit. He was humble, giving, compassionate, tolerant and so funny. If we as a person would try to be like Elvis. This world would be an amazing place to live. It really bothers me when people judge him without knowing the real man. He was human and had his flaws just like we all do. But there was never an entertainer with the charisma that Elvis had. Thank you Ray for this reaction, as usual you can take a song and make it relevant to todays times and struggles. You are the KING of Elvis reactions. Take care of yourself and please dont over do yourself. God bless you and your precious family.❤

There are several persons I want to meet when I get to Heaven - Elvis being one of them. Interesting that he was so self-deprecating and humble during his time here. In Heaven, he will not be ELVIS PRESLEY - he will be Elvis Presley, fellow servant of the King. I agree with you that the world would be a better place if we tried to be like Elvis. Have a blessed weekend - see you next week.

Dude thank you so much for finding and playing this song that so many other reactors miss. Elvis blows the Bee Gees' version out of the water!! The 69 audio version sounds better but this is still another example of an Elvis cover proving superior to the original and creating a masterpiece.

Elvis was WAY ahead of his time in many areas. People don't know anything about his gospel roots and his life with black people. Imagine what would happen to him in today's world. Kind soul manipulated by man. Love me some E. Graceland is AMAZING! Take two days if you can.

Millions through out the world, even people that didn't meet him live. My older sister who was a teenager when Elvis became famous worldwide, in the early 60's my sister told all us younger kids that Elvis through her a bunch of flowers, we from New Zealand, we believed her. Elvis never toured outside of the states apart from Canada and Hawaii lol.

The fact that he didn't take himself seriously as a King is what makes him so unique. On the other thing, I still feel that people who influenced him should be acknowledged and listened to and appreciated. Doesn't take away his greatness, but we as fans owe it to honour those who didn't get credit, historically by the establishment. Especially since he was very vocal about honouring them.

    • @iwillbetrue2023
      @iwillbetrue2023 10 місяців тому +1

@@user-jy9kf5ww6d Sampling and appreciating the historical importance is not obligation, at least to me. In fact chances are that I will come across some genuine gems on way. Whether I will continue to listen to any of these artists is different, according to my taste. For e.g, I tremendously enjoyed Roy Hamilton who was a major influence on Elvis. I will continue to listen to him. Some others, no.

@@iwillbetrue2023who exactly are you wanting acknowledged and honored? EP was influenced and inspired by different sounds and people at different times. He was first and foremost, inspired by gospel singing....across the board. He liked country, opera, rhythm and blues...again, across the board. Not sure whether you're right to suggest we acknowledge "those who didn't get credit, historically by the establishment"....in relation to our admiration and respect for Elvis Presley. EP gave credit and smashed through barriers for EVERYBODY to benefit. Everyone is influenced and inspired by others....are we going to do the same for each and everyone? Common sense, please. What the "establishment" did or did not do is nothing to do with anyone but itself.

Elvis was in your dream to wake u up to give u a warning about your batteries probably he does that to me sometimes when I’m sad. Now that he can visit some of us maybe he does. When I went to Graceland I instantly felt him there the goosebumps were unmistakable Elvis is there. I cried when I walked in he was so alive I cried at Tupelo also especially at the statue the boy Elvis waiting to discover the world and the man Elvis with his cape open telling the world I’m here I did it!! Omg it’s the most significant thing I’ve ever seen. I stood in the middle of that statue and just cried for them remembering who Elvis Presley is. I’m going back to see him again soon am I ready for the emotional ride probably not but I’m going anyway lol. TCB⚡️

Elvis was so humble and felt blessed that god gifted him with his extraordinary talent, he just shared and wanted to make people happy by constantly giving back. He stands head and shoulders above any performer and is incomparable. A legend.

This is the best performance of the BeeGees song, as Elvis was one of the greatest performers ever. If I wanted to hear it as a soft love song, I'd listen to the BeeGees version. I love both. Elvis didn't write any of his songs, but Col Parker purchased the rights for him to be listed as a co-writer of a few songs. Elvis out-perfomed most artists that he's covered. He expected great things from his bands, orchestras and backup vocalists. Great productions and performances with his sense of humor can't be matched.

Hi Ray, I've been an Elvis fan all my life along with my brother. I've been a fan of yours for many months now, not just because you like Elvis, but because you opened your heart, mind and eyes to many people that are thrown into the pit of social hate and misinformation. You are so on point about influencers and misinformation that it's scary. Elvis himself claimed that the only "king" is Jesus Christ and he should not be addressed as such. The people who bash, belittle and berate him, or anyone, are likely just ignorant, cowardly and lazy because it's easier to hate than to love. Love takes work and commitment. Hate takes only a word. Those who love, fight for it. Those who hate, let others do that work. "Finding the light of truth in life is a battle earned. Finding darkness in life is a choice made in ease." That is my view from down here on earth, not the high horse of self-righteous bigots claiming superiority of mind and aspiration.

46 years after his death, people are still calling Elvis the King of Rock'n'Roll, but he didn't like that title, he believed that the only King was God and he actually told this to his fans several times, he said: I believe that God is the only true king.
I think that Elvis is and only the king of Rock'n roll, he is the king of music because he can sing very well in any genre, but what do you think, is he good enough to be called a music king?
Elvis was really in my mind, the King of GOSPEL and other music, no one does it better then him, he is best known for making Rockn roll famous, so he was called The King of Rockn roll, but he never liked that people called him that.
He repeatedly stopped fans who said that he was the king of rock'n roll, telling them:
I'm just an entertainer and singer, God is the only true King (sometimes he adde and that it Christ)!!
Elvis was born in the poor parts of Tupelo Missisippi and it was mainly Afroamericans living there, at the place where Elvis family lived there only lived 3 more white familys, the rest was colored people, his family was dirtpoor until he became an artist after singing in a mainly colored peoples church during his childhood.
Did you know that he had several friends that where Afroamericans, one of his friends where James Brown, yes THAT James Brown (The King of Soul), another artist was B.B King, yes that B.B King...
He also was a good friend with Mohamed Ali, yes the GREATEST boxer of all time, he even had a Robe made for him, but it was to much bling on it so Ali wouldn't where it more then one time to a fight.
He really admired Martin Luther King very much, Elvis felt that all people are equal, unfortually he never got to meet him, that would have created to much problems for both of them at that time.
He had several medical problems, Glaucoma, (Insomnia) sleeping problems, irritable bowel syndrome and that will make you constipated, these are things that affected his real life and made him need medication to function.
Yes, he took medicines that today are considered to be called drugs, but at that time doctors prescribed it to him and to ordinary people, they did not know of the problems it could give people (side effects).
He never took any so-called street drugs, but unfortunately he did not realize that those medications would be a problem for him, he thought that they where ordinary medicine because his doctor prescribed them to him and to everyone else that needed it.
Many of his relativs died at a relatively young age, so even if he wouldn't have the medication, he might have died at about the same age.
He could never be alone and thus himself, at that time the word superstar did not exist, so nothing could prepare him for that kind of life.
Did you know that a big group of white people actually smashed his records and wanted to ban his music, just because they called the music he did so called N... music, that is so painfun to think that some people actually can think like that, skincolor is just color and nothing more, when will people realise that?
There are some videos of when Elvis joking and messing up, he loved to joke around and pretend that he did not have control, but he had total control, he acctually conducted his musicans and back up choirs all the time !
He is the only person to have 2 records gone to sell Gold and 2 to to sell Platinum since he died.
Elvis is also in almost every genre of Music Hall of Fame (5 that I'm sure of Rock 'n' Roll, Country, Gospel, Rockabilly and Rhythm and Blues), if Gospel is a genre in Music Hall of fame, then he should be in there to, but no one else is in more then perhaps 2 genres.
Not bad for someone who never took a single singing lesson, yes he sang in church so perhaps he learned a little there, right?
Something else that people tend to overlook:
He always conducts his musicans and backup singers, he never gets credit for being able to do that.
Imagen you are a singer, you have great musicans, you have great backup singers, no Guest Artists, no Autotune, no Lipsinging and no Fireworks, now all is about your skill, could you handle that pressure?
At the time when Elvis started, then Autotune did not exist yet and when it became availible, then he still did not use it, he did not need to, he always sang so that you could hear every word that he sang, the Fans always felt that he sang to just you !
That is what Elvis did in over 1600 concerts (during his 20 years as an artist), despite having problems with his health, like his Glaucoma, the headlights must have hurt his eyes like crazy.
He sang over 800 songs, I wonder how he could remember them all, he never vrote a song himself, so he had to remember other peoples lyrics, well that is amazing in it self.
By the way he had Glucomea and that must have been difficult being in the headlights all the time, that could be why he sometimes closes his eyes, but also sometimes squinting !
This unfortually made him temporary blind after the shows, that is why they led him of the stage and into his car, that is something that not many people knew about Elvis.
Elvis suits was made of 100% Polyester, or 100 cotton (I'm not sure witch one), it was originally a karate suit, it was very light, but it was hot, so it made him sweat a lot, he got some bad press about that, but if you give it all then you will sweat, it should be positive, right?
About the deep basevoice JD Sumner (a member of The Stamps Quartet) he is the Basso Profundo, I think it's called that, it is the deepest base singer there is.
A video about him helping others, look at this: ua-cam.com/video/CrJ1c9tm-C0/v-deo.html
Elvis made a show where all the money went to build the Memorial after Pearl Harbour, he talked to the nations about taking the Poliovaccin, Elvis took the first injection himself, he helped by donating a big amount of money to St Jude hospital, they fight against cancer (especially children with), he also gave away juwelery, gave away cars, he even gave away some houses to total strangers.
Elvis started an organization that helps people to get out of Homelessness (Presley Charitable Foundation, Presley Place), this organization helps people even now close to 50 years after he passed away.
A thing that you perhaps did not know: Elvis ALMOST NEVER did a show OUTSIDE OF USA, yes he did sing a few in Canada: 4 concerts, 2 in Toronto, 1 in Ottowa and 1 time in Vancouver (during the 50:s).
When the Aloha From Hawaii (Live in Honolulu 1973) was showed it had close to 1.5 Billion viewers from around the whole world and 3.7 billion people lived on earth at this time, so it was close to 1/3 of all of the population on earth that wiewed the show, it was the first time a single artist was shown LIVE around the globe.
Video of Mohammad Ali speech after Elvis died:
    ua-cam.com/video/PO8Kq_3KTyI/v-deo.html
I have to say that I loved being at Graceland and seeing his home, first we were at the house in Tupelo where he lived in his early years, he was born there !
You don't have a guide taking you on a tour, you can go all over yourself, but stay outside of the ropes and do not attempt to go upstairs, the outside is huge, so is the house, but you don't realise that from the front of the house.
I don't regret for a second that I was there, or that I stood at his grave site and said out loud that this is for the humanitarian Elvis/the person/the man and then I gave him a military salute, the others there just looked at me and asked if I didn't like his music.
So I told them that he was clearly one of the best singers and artists ever, but I loved his big heart more, he helped so many people without getting credit for it, he didn't want the credit of helping others, he did it out of love and respect and to me that is what true charity is all about.
This PLACE (GRACELAND) should be a protected part of music history and also American history forever, I think that people will keep coming for years and years and years to come !
Elvis did lots of things for America to, he helped in a big way to avoid getting Polio (he took the vaccin in a tv show and that made the intrest for taking the vaccin to go up from 0,6 % all the way up to 80 % in 6 months), so in 6 months he got 79.4 % more of the American people take the Polio vaccin and shortly after it was eradicated from USA, he also helped in the figth to defeat Cancer by helping to build up St Judes children cancer treatment clinic by donating a huge amount of money to them, he also helped to build the Memorial over Pearl Harbour and many other things!

A day late to this one! My apologies, Ray 🙏💕
Love ALL of your Elvis reactions 💯
And I am not at all surprised you got a visit from Elvis the man himself 😉
Love ya, Relvis 💖💜💖💜 (I mean Ray haha!)
And yes I also try to be civil and respectful. 🎶Words🎶 from others only have as much power over you as you let them have.
It's a lesson I'm still learning myself. I'm not perfect far from.
I lose my temper at times and I always end up regretting it.
So I try hard to keep my cool and force myself to take a step back.
Some may think I'm being weak when I walk away.
They don't know I'm not walking away out of weakness.
I'm walking away because I'm trying to be a better person, a stronger person, just in my own way.
Anyway, FABULOUS REACTION 💙💐💙💐💙💐💙💐 THANK YOU AGAIN RAY (ER RELVIS 😉)
    TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕

Not serious but serious. Both at the same time. I'm blaming it on sleep deprivation.🌛💤❓

I agree with your comments regarding Elvis haters, they don't really know him and probably are too lazy to do any research. Besides, I think some people just enjoy hating others, particularly those who are admired by many. They enjoy trying to bring them down. Maybe its partly jealousy.

Remember you can't fix stupid!! And it's it's an effort in futility to try..I have people in my own building make up shit about me because I'm kind to them..because it's sad their lives are so small they have to make up stories I don't bite into their negavity or let their negativity change me and that's my last laugh because it piss's them off !!

Elvis couldn’t read or write music, and there’s no proof he ever wrote any of his songs he had a team writing for him, but his record company insisted that any song he covered 50 percent of the writing would be credited to Elvis, saying that Elvis had a amazing talent that he had a incredible ear for music and could hear lyrics then play guitar or piano instantaneously, not forgetting he could sing quite well, great reaction thanks 🙏

Mr Raylvis there is a reset coming and it occurs after the war of Armageddon when all unrighteousness is done away with, for the meek shall inherit the earth as it states in Psalms37 the righteous shall inherit the earth and dwell upon it forever, scripture states there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous, this means that Elvis and all those in the memorial tombs will heat the call of Jesus and come forth from there resting place.
