I really believe if Elvis came in the music scene today, he'd be just as big, if not bigger than he was back in the day. He was a musical genius, with no training, just natural instincts and Talent! Add to that, his Charisma and fashion style, he was a trendstter all the way around!❤❤❤❤

  • @sandralybrand9425

Elvis voice was a musical instrument in itself. He could go high, go low and everything in between! That's why he could sing any type of music genre, he wasn't a one note singer! Add to that he gave the words if the songs feeling,it wasn't just singing the words, he brought life to the words of the song he was singing! That's why the cover songs he sang, sounded Better than the originals!❤❤

It amazes me that Elvis did not read music nor did he write songs. His talent was truly God given. He could play musical instruments and sing so perfectly!

As far as fan base is concerned, you have to take a couple things into consideration. First, what was the overall population 45+ years ago compared to today? Then look at the percentage of the population who were fans of Elvis compared to the percentage of today's population who are fans of a singer. Then look at how many fans worldwide that Elvis still has 4 decades after he left this world. Since today's singers are still alive, you'd have to compare that to famous singers from Elvis' time who are no longer with us. Have any of them, for instance, had a sold out concert 4+ decades after they've passed on? Has the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra done a hit album with anyone who passed 4 decades ago? (I don't know the answer to the last two... maybe someone else does.) Is their fan base as loyal and fiercely protective of any other long departed stars of his time? Do they have new fans born every generation who love him as much as those who were privileged to be alive during his time? I think if you look at all those things then one has to admit Elvis is unmatched in regards to his fame and devoted fan base.

46 years after his death, people are still calling Elvis the King of Rock'n'Roll, but he didn't like that title, he believed that the only King was God and he actually told this to his fans several times, he said: I believe that God is the only true king.
I think that Elvis is and only the king of Rock'n roll, he is the king of music because he can sing very well in any genre, but what do you think, is he good enough to be called a music king?
Elvis was really in my mind, the King of GOSPEL and other music, no one does it better then him, he is best known for making Rockn roll famous, so he was called The King of Rockn roll, but he never liked that people called him that.
He repeatedly stopped fans who said that he was the king of rock'n roll, telling them:
I'm just an entertainer and singer, God is the only true King (sometimes he adde and that it Christ)!!
Elvis was born in the poor parts of Tupelo Missisippi and it was mainly Afroamericans living there, at the place where Elvis family lived there only lived 3 more white familys, the rest was colored people, his family was dirtpoor until he became an artist after singing in a mainly colored peoples church during his childhood.
Did you know that he had several friends that where Afroamericans, one of his friends where James Brown, yes THAT James Brown (The King of Soul), another artist was B.B King, yes that B.B King...
He also was a good friend with Mohamed Ali, yes the GREATEST boxer of all time, he even had a Robe made for him, but it was to much bling on it so Ali wouldn't where it more then one time to a fight.
He really admired Martin Luther King very much, Elvis felt that all people are equal, unfortually he never got to meet him, that would have created to much problems for both of them at that time.
He had several medical problems, Glaucoma, (Insomnia) sleeping problems, irritable bowel syndrome, things that affected his real life and made him need medication to function.
Yes, he took medicines that today are considered to be called drugs, but at that time doctors prescribed it to him and to ordinary people, they did not know of the problems it could give people (side effects).
He never took any so-called street drugs, but unfortunately he did not realize that those medications would be a problem for him, he thought that they where ordinary medicine because his doctor prescribed them to him and to everyone else that needed it.
Many of his relativs died at a relatively young age, so even if he wouldn't have the medication, he might have died at about the same age.
He could never be alone and thus himself, at that time the word superstar did not exist, so nothing could prepare him for that kind of life.
Did you know that a big group of white poeple actually smashed his records and wanted to ban his music, just because they called it so called N... music, that is so painfun to think that some people actually can think like that, skincolor is just color and nothing more, when will people realise that?
There are some videos of when Elvis joking and messing up, he loved to joke around and pretend that he did not have control, but he had total control, he acctually conducted his musicans and back up choirs all the time !
He is the only person to have 2 records gone to sell Gold and 2 to to sell Platinum since he died.
Elvis is also in almost every genre of Music Hall of Fame (5 that I'm sure of Rock 'n' Roll, Country, Gospel, Rockabilly and Rhythm and Blues), if Gospel is a genre in Music Hall of fame, then he should be in there to, but no one else is in more then perhaps 2 genres.
Not bad for someone who never took a single singing lesson, yes he sang in church so perhaps he learned a little there, right?
Something else that people tend to overlook:
He always conducts his musicans and backup singers, he never gets credit for being able to do that.
Imagen you are a singer, you have great musicans, you have great backup singers, no Guest Artists, no Autotune, no Lipsinging and no Fireworks, now all is about your skill, could you handle that pressure?
At the time when Elvis started, then Autotune did not exist yet and when it became availible, then he still did not use it, he did not need to, he always sang so that you could hear every word that he sang, the Fans always felt that he sang to just you !
That is what Elvis did in over 1600 concerts (during his 20 years as an artist), despite having problems with his health, like his Glaucoma, the headlights must have hurt his eyes like crazy.
He sang over 800 songs, I wonder how he could remember them all, he never vrote a song himself, so he had to remember other peoples lyrics, well that is amazing in it self.
By the way he had Glucomea and that must have been difficult being in the headlights all the time, that could be why he sometimes closes his eyes, but also sometimes squinting !
This unfortually made him temporary blind after the shows, that is why they led him of the stage and into his car, that is something that not many people knew about Elvis.
Elvis suits was made of 100% Polyester, or 100 cotton (I'm not sure witch one), it was originally a karate suit, it was very light, but it was hot, so it made him sweat a lot, he got some bad press about that, but if you give it all then you will sweat, it should be positive, right?
About the deep basevoice JD Sumner (a member of The Stamps Quartet) he is the Basso Profundo, I think it's called that, it is the deepest base singer there is.
A video about him helping others, look at this: ua-cam.com/video/CrJ1c9tm-C0/v-deo.html
Elvis made a show where all the money went to build the Memorial after Pearl Harbour, he talked to the nations about taking the Poliovaccin, Elvis took the first injection himself, he helped by donating a big amount of money to St Jude hospital, they fight against cancer (especially children with), he also gave away juwelery, gave away cars, he even gave away some houses to total strangers.
Elvis started an organization that helps people to get out of Homelessness (Presley Charitable Foundation), this organization helps people even now close to 50 years after he passed away.
A thing that you perhaps did not know: Elvis ALMOST NEVER did a show OUTSIDE OF USA, yes he did sing a few times in Canada: 4 concerts, 2 in Toronto, 1 in Ottowa and 1 time in Vancouver (during the 50:s?).
When the Aloha From Hawaii (Live in Honolulu 1973) was showed it had close to 1.5 Billion viewers from around the whole world and 3.7 billion people lived on earth at this time, so it was close to 1/3 of all of the population on earth that wiewed the show, it was the first time a single artist was shown LIVE around the globe.
Video of Mohammad Ali speech after Elvis died:
    ua-cam.com/video/PO8Kq_3KTyI/v-deo.html
I have to say that I loved being at Graceland and seeing his home, first we were at the house in Tupelo where he lived in his early years, he was born there !
You don't have a guide taking you on a tour, you can go all over yourself, but stay outside of the ropes and do not attempt to go upstairs, the outside is huge, so is the house, but you don't realise that from the front of the house.
I don't regret for a second that I was there, or that I stood at his grave site and said out loud that this is for the humanitarian Elvis/the person/the man and then I gave him a military salute, the others there just looked at me and asked if I didn't like his music.
So I told them that he was clearly one of the best singers and artists ever, but I loved his big heart more, he helped so many people without getting credit for it, he didn't want the credit of helping others, he did it out of love and respect and to me that is what true charity is all about.
This PLACE (GRACELAND) should be a protected part of music history and also American history forever, I think that people will keep coming for years and years and years to come !
Elvis did lots of things for America to, he helped to avoid getting Polio (he took the vaccin in a tv show that made the intrest for taking the vaccin go from 0,6 % to 80 % in 6 months), he also helped in the figth to defeat Cancer by helping to build up St Judes children cancer treatment clinic, he also helped to build the Memorial over Pearl Harbour and many other things!

Elvis dated an entire chorus line while on leave in the Army. Seriously, according to Memphis mafia member Lamar Fike…he took the entire chorus line back to his hotel after their show. The next evening Lamar gets a call from the manager of the show where these girls performed, and said he said I can't start the show because the girls did not show up, Lamar ok I'll see what I can do. So, he went to Elvis's room and when he opened the door he said it looked like a Haram in there 🤭 there were girls everywhere lol so he told them the boss called and they were late for work, they began filing out…some with their nylons around their necks, carrying their shoes, and fixing their undergarments.… yeah EP was wild… you should hear about his date with the gymnast 😂lol

The quality of his voice never ceases to amaze me. He could be so pure, almost angelic in tone and then add that rasp and grit and he has such a rock edge. So many different tones that he could access, such range and power at his disposal. And remember this was all live, he had to sing songs in their entirety, the technolog.y was available to edit, do overdubs and dropins, you had to be THAT good, and Elvis was superb! Thank you Ray. Peace and love from England. My mum passed away recently and finding your channel, seeing your love and and appreciation for this great artist has been a real comfort to me, so thank you for that. Why this sounds different is because he liked the echo he got when he sang in the hallway. So alot of his early sings he actually sang in a hallway. They didn't have all the synthetic stuff they have now to make singers sound better. Also until 1970 Elvis never heard what he sounded like when he recorded. Considering he performed with corded microphones onstage, it's amazing the way he was able to dance and move. Can you imagine what he could've done with a wireless microphone? As you say Ray, Fire!

When I saw this I was like, "Forty- three minutes of RELVIS?! Wuuhhhaaattt?! OMG! I need me a party snack plate for this!" Or maybe not because I never know what you're gonna say, Ray, and I don't wanna choke on a peanut butter and banana on toast square 😂😂😂
What? To a Relvis party you can't bring that ants on a log stuffings... Heck no! Get those raisins outta here!
And celery? Who brings celery to a party? Moi? I don't think so!
    Okay, okay, I'm kidding 😅
To answer your question, Ray: All 5 songs you listened to here were actually outtakes from a lengthy recording session that lasted from January 12, 157- February 24, 1957 at Radio Recorders in Hollywood, California.
Now some Elvis fans may be wondering why this version of "I Beg Of You" sounds different from the version they are familiar with.
Well the answer is this: During the first time Elvis recorded "I Beg Of You" was on January 13, 1957 with a musical arrangement that Elvis most likely was not really happy with. This evidenced by the fact that Elvis recorded "I Beg Of You" again on February 23, 1957 with a different musical arrangement.
So what I'm guessing is what with "I Beg Of You" is one of the first studio outtakes with the second arrangement with Elvis clearly having fun while working it out vocally.
I have no way of confirming this because I did not do any real in- depth research as of yet on this particular 1957 recording session.
    Anyhoodles!

He was 22 I never even saw what he looked like til we got a tv when I was 10 and saw his films, imagining I was one of the child actors who were lucky enough to act in his films!!
Beautiful ballads , after gospel, Elvis loved singing ballads and it shows in these songs today. Elvis makes it sound as though he’s singing to you personally 👌💕🕺⭐️💫

You had me dying laughing when you talked about the peanut butter....I was thinking all you need is the banana. LOL He is famous for loving peanut butter and banana sandwiches, which is very well known to his fans.
Elvis recorded 400 + songs, so Im hearing these songs for the first time. Dont know where to find them. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ABOUT HIM BEING A SEXUAL HO, if not...as cute as he was, they would have surely said he was gay. jUST SAYING. Loved your story, funny as heck. I swear he sounds like he wanted to bust out laughing during that whole last song.

Michael Jackson’s vocal cry came directly from Elvis Presley’s vocal cry. it’s the same thing. The difference is that when Elvis does it if fits emotionally with the song. when Michael Jackson does it - it just sounds artificial to me since he never did that when he was a kid in the Jackson 5

Amazing reactions as always Vibe. You nailed the word to describe his singing "Trance". Elvis does that to you. He pulls you in. Please react to the song "It Hurts Me". Make sure it is the original studio recording from 1964. I know you will love it. Peace.

what a delight to hear Elvis laugh and his 22 year old voice 😍 🍯 soft and sweet as honey. His tone has changed a lot over the years but his voice has remained fantastic until the end. Best wishes for your mother-in-law 🌹 and for you 🙏🍀✌️👑🎶🔥

Ray, My instincts on these songs seems to combine, Sinatra, at first, then go into early rock, and I think I heard some early MoTown which had not been introduced yet. Tell me who has ever done that? RIP Elvis

Yo Ray if you like the Elvis tribute Artists check out these guys they are the best out there.
Bill Cherry, Shawn Klush, Dean Z, Cody Ray Slaughter and Ben Portsmouth.
None of them are Elvis obviously but for us who are too young to have seen Elvis live these guys pull off the illusion of what a concert was like. Ive seen Klush, Dean Z and Cody Ray Slaughter live twice and the other just on videos but they're great at what they do.

You might want to check out Dean Z from Missourri and a top ETA. Also Bouke who is from the Netherlands is a very good Elvis ETA on UA-cam. Also there are a couple Elvis Aps - one from Denmark and I don't know where other one is from but they both play only Elvis 24 hours a day and are free. The one has more of Elvis doing recordings and in every song he sounds different. It truly amazing.
