I like those tabs too! I was able to purchase one of your rescued bibles (Cokesbury NRSV) that has the same kind of tabs I find them discreet and helpful! Another great review! Well done 👍🏻. Thanks!!
Most modern production Bibles are excellent quality if they at least have a sewn binding, not glued. It depend what you're looking for. What translation are you interested in? You you want something fancy, or do you have a budget in mind?
@@HolisticTake yeah, any of the big producers are a good choice then. Thomas Nelson, Crossway, Zondervan. They all have excellent warranties as well in case anything does happen. I would default to anything with at least a genuine leather cover, but some of the synthetic leathers are great too.
@6:17 your pesky incorrect persistence that the footnotes are Catholic oriented. They are not. For the most part they are scholarly footnotes providing critical context and scholarly exegesis. At times aligning with Catholic teaching and at times… what’s the word…. Not undermining per se… but making the point that not everything is black and white, or that events recorded aren’t second by second recording of what happened but a carefully crafted work of literature in the context of first century hellenized second temple Judaism under Rome and all that. Overall they are scholarly footnotes that take their work seriously as a nuggets of information from the scholarly world without letting itself be influenced by specific Catholic ideas though of course it cannot help but be surrounded by a Catholic worldview but that’s the story of western Christianity as a whole.
Some unusual comments! So heres mine: thank you very much Rusty and God bless you even more!

Hi, what is your recommendation for a Bible that will last and it's not flimsy or will rip easily. Thank you

@@RustyBibles Hi! Thank you so much for your response. I don't want anything fancy. I just want one that won't tear apart within a year or 2
