    For the Hybrid you need to take off a plug that's connected by plastic clip. I did not realize it might interfere with the hood locking till after so I took the risk and unplugged it, plugged in back in below the bar. Other than than a super simple install. Have yet to test it out though. Your install video helped me a lot to actually make my purchase. Thanks!

    I recently ordered a 24 maverick, and have been watching your videos. Being a mechanic the last 50 years, i enjoy watching your videos, short, concise, and not loaded with a lot of yak...yak...yak. keep doing what you do, excellent ! 😊

    K&N filters are for racing, not for everyday driving. Check out the comparisons on you tube. Don't ruin your engine, put a foam sock over the filter to keep the small particles out. Love your video.

    I installed the rear sway bar and it is really making a noise. Been two months and the sound is still there.

    do the bushings go over the stop or next to them inside or outside of stop?

      They go on the outside of the stop. Be sure to put a TON of grease on the inside of the bushing as I have had problems with squeaking

    Bro thanks for the video. Still waiting for my 23 to get in ordered it at the beginning of the year. Most likely will be waiting a long time because I'm over seas in Germany.

    Can you put a lift kit on this maverick ? Like 2 inches both front and rear. Also your truck turbo do you put 94 gas or 87 gas?

    • @deserttrek
      @deserttrek  Рік тому +1

      I'm going to put a suspension lift on it, but I'm still getting funds for it👍also I've been running 91 octane gas

    • @Flockingtheherd
      @Flockingtheherd Рік тому +1

      Ford recommends using 91 octane minimum on the 2.0 ecoboost models. 94 recommended. The hybrid model can run on 87 just fine whereas it may cause degradation on the 2.0. However all of fords engine performance specs are based off 94 octane on both hybrid and ecoboost engines. I’ve put 91 in my hybrid and it definitely has more power than when I use 87 octane

    • @TylerWardhaha
      @TylerWardhaha 8 місяців тому +1

      @@Flockingtheherdnot true. Minimum factory spec is 87.

    • @Flockingtheherd
      @Flockingtheherd 8 місяців тому

      @@TylerWardhaha the ford maverick spec sheet directly found on fords website calls for 91 octane on the 2.0 ecoboost. Yes you can probably get away with 87. However the inside of the gas tank door says to use premium gas only as well. It does say it is possible to use 87 however excessive engine knocking is likely. Considering the 2.0 ecoboost has known issues with leaking lots of gas into the engine oil, I wouldn’t recommend using 87 as engine knocking will only contribute to that problem

    • @TylerWardhaha
      @TylerWardhaha 8 місяців тому

      @@Flockingtheherd I own a Maverick. It doesn’t say that in the filler cap, and it specifically says you can use 87 in the owners manual. It says to use premium if you are doing something that requires more power, like towing. 87 is recommended for the focus ST, and every other vehicle with the 2.0 eb. I think you need to double check your sourcing.
      You might be getting confused with the 2.3 eb in the RS. That does require premium gas. However, the 2.0 eb does not.
      The computers are perfectly capable of regarding timing, which is really going to happen at high RPMs, which if you have driven a vehicle with a 2.0, you would know doesn’t really happen as it makes most of its power relatively low in the rev range.
      So not only did Ford design these engines to run on 87, electronic controls are ensuring the engine is safe despite what octane you use. The only times you really might want premium is if you’re really reving the engine hard or if you are towing.
      Sorry for the long comment but it’s really annoying that you appear so confident obviously having not read a single users manual for the 2.0.

    What improvements are expected with the strut tower brace? I don’t plan to drive the vehicle hard - so I’m wondering if there are other benefits for a normally driven vehicle.

      It gives you a more positive steering response at the cost of a slightly harsher driving experience. It makes the truck feel more solid, and the more road you feel doesn't bother me. With that said, if you enjoy enjoy the ride of your truck, I'd save your money.

      Ask him to show you the performance numbers on a dyno before you spend $350.
      Use that money for a tonneau cover.
