WTF I wasted my money on an Illustrator & Photoshop course. It was just too bad. The instructor made it so difficult and with you it's so easy to learn. YOU ARE JUST TOO GOOD.

I would recommend to crop the image to align with the metal structure's inherent repetition before applying the offset. Just use the crop tool and set the top left corner on a recognisable feature like the center of a left tilted dent. Then set the bottom right corner to the closest similar feature (e.g. center of a left tilted dent) and crop. Then you wouldn't have such a bad seam in the first place, when applying the offset.

Thank you! I had already created my pattern in another graphics design app but was needed to use photoshop to place the pattern on mockups, using it as a background image wasn't working at all or using the pattern maker from libraries ... this was the trick!

Hi Brendan, why don't you use the much easier to use pattern preview tool inside the photoshop view panel? This tool gives you a much better and quicker seamless pattern. regards

    First of all, Thank you.
I would love to understand why does it matter what resolution do you put when you are choosing a 500/500 pixel document ? :)
    as far as I understand - it 500 / 500 whether is 2 dpi or 5000 dpi ... :)
    Thx.

New to your channel per a friend's recommendation. Thank you. I am still early in my PS journey and enjoying every video.
For the photo, would it be easier to crop the original so your edges are cleaner and less like to look messy when offset? Could you not also make it a square at the point?
    Thanks!

outdated solution. metal "seamless" texture, yours, is WRONG. the solution is REAL seamless. this is fake seamless. and too much time for this fake solution. "solution". AI will replace easy.

Yeah, not impressed with this solution TBH. No explanation of the gaps in the first pattern either. They
