- Forza Horizon modding community has became pretty big and therefore there is more and more mods out there, from car mods, radio station mods, improved sound mods to other funny mods. Unlike other games forza horizon is pretty strict when it comes to mods, so there is always a chance you can get banned (as I did).
Since the full list of mods I installed together with links to the mods is to big to post it in the description, I'm gonna post it on my discord server under forza horizon 5 channel / discord .

fr! i feel like mods help game devs and big companies to know what their community actually wants. turn 10 for example, it’s great to know that we want new cars and they add them but they don’t know anything specific a lot of the time. granted licenses are a big part of it but still.
It's not Microsoft's fault that these car companies don't really like mods like widebody kits for example. Yes they could make it that mods are allowed, but many car companies would end the partnership and cheating in online races could then be a thing

I would prefer a game with fake cars or look alikes but atleast y can customize everything.

Hello, creator of the gt3 touring mod and the clear lightbar for it! Glad you mentioned my mod, anyways, I hate how turn10 doesn't allow us to mod our game to our liking. You got banned for cheating in cars which is a controversial subject but using mods such as mine you don't really have a chance to get banned because it's client based. Anyways, enjoy modding the game guys. We have to make t10 and pg let us have our modded games.

I am still new to the modding scene but I'll improve as time goes on. Maybe we can make a video about modding fh5? To show people what it takes to make one.

Wish they would just make a dedicated offline mode that we can switch to to mod then have the online mode completely seperate
I just wish they have play solo and play multiplayer button just like NFS Heat so you wont get banned accidentally for using mods.

Devs should always listen to its player base and to modders like look at this mods it makes the game wayyyyy better

Modern games can cost hundreds of millions to develop and yet just some guy with a pc can make the game better than the devs could
Yeah but that guy with a pc doesn't have higher ups making the decisions for him and he has all the time in the world. You have to think about things like licences and stuff too. I'm sure these are the kind of things devs would like to see too but they are held back creatively. Modders are just devs that don't have to follow rules and meet deadlines.

the worst thing is that these 50 mods would take less effort to add in an update (the overhaul mods could be new bodykits and stuff like the magnum hellcat would be a new car) would add some like into the game. Because only having a few dozen cars with costoumize and the rest only gest the ugliest forza aero (some cars don't even get that) seems unfair. Its questionable why they ever thought to not listen to these modders, who add features that should be in the game, and to listen to the people who want some random returning car 88. Like whats the point??

Even playing legit vanilla will get you banned. I'd honestly only Pirate this game if you can and cheat progress. I played since the start, only legit. And I still got banned.

Some of those mods are really awesome and I'd want to try them out. It's so sad that the devs don't recognise the potential in user generated content. Games like Minecraft or Euro Truck Simulator 2 live mostly off of that

I run the game with only Revolusound pack since 12-13 months , tried custom phonk radio, haven't been ban yet.. Never tried to go far away with available mods for the chance to be banned.
I was also using cheat engine a few months prior but haven't got banned so its weird that they banned me now

@@InitialJayy too bad they do IP/Hardware bans or else I'd have bought a different copy of the game and modded that one with a different account but apparently that'd get my main banned aswell even though I didn't mod the main account so it's not worth the risk unfortunately.

@@HikariSakai also be sensible with what you mod. If it's a blatant cheat that for example gives you all cars in the auto show and all of them for free you'd probably get banned. But mods like client sided music and visual car mods are not gonna get you banned.
@@InitialJayy from what i looked up Horizon 4 had hardware bans, someone said they tried to get a new account and a new copy of the game and still got banned instantaneously on a vanilla copy after getting banned on the modded account.
I've been running a few mods for over a year and hundreds of hours now with no issues. I run revo Sound, sports car audio, improved transmission sound, a wheel pack mod, a mod that adds tire lettering to race tires, and a better backfire mod.
If you don't actually *cheat* you should be fine.

Actually, forza limits you on what you can do and it's impressive what people can even do currently. It's sad but hey, we are making it work somehow.
well mods really means modifications, not updating or content packs.

@@erixccjc2143 you can literally buy any car you want at the start of the game, and the three cars you DO get can carry you throughout the entire single player campaign. At that point, the auto show becomes redundant and you basically have the money to buy any car you want anyway. I don’t see what your argument is here. Nothing from the auto show does anything harmful since other players can get them the same

I will never not be frustrated by the lack of proper customization in modern Forza titles when the team has (in my opinion) had plenty of time to add a variety of customization to most if not all of the game's cars.
You mean to tell me it's been 10 years of this franchise and we still can't have things like a racing widebody M3 GTR or the ability for front end swaps to make cars like the Sil80?
Like come on, Forza is a game with a primary focus on cars yet the customization outside of a select few vehicles is abysmal.
I want to love Forza Horizon's modern titles, but as the years go on not only are the games growing increasingly affected by greed and corruption, but also lagging behind competitors like NFS even the Crew games.
If they would give us that many customizations as NFS has, then it would become the greatest franchise ever, but since then they are mid at best
Getting any car (Playlist, exclusives from promos etc) in the game for free is likely what flagged the bean. I've been using custom radios and custom sounds for over a year now and can still play online. But as someone else mentioned, it's also luck based if PGG feels like kicking someone off for good even if using no mods. They could fuck me in the ass tomorrow if they wanted.

Microsoft really needs to EMBRACE these modders, CARX Drift Racing and GTA 5 have already done this and either let the modders do their work with no reprecussions, or they straight up hired the modders to their dev team.
Does GTA embrace mods now? When I used to mod it they were sending cease and desists and constantly screwing over the fan base, but that was a few years ago.
I know they recently hired the FiveM devs but only a while ago the community had to fight to keep FiveM going, so I feel like that win has been sullied a bit haha. Let me know if I’m uninformed but I still wouldn’t really call them pro-modding

the only companies that officially support modding in their games don't deal with strict license agreements with massive corporations with tight restrictions on what can be done with their intellectual property. they also tend to make single player games
I got banned for 20 years last year when they gave me the urban rebel 1 day earlier then I should off gotten which wasn't my fault so they won't unban my xbox account for FH5 only can't play online in FH5 but I'm fine on different forzas & different games so crew 3 motorfest is my new home I love that game.
Crew Motorfest is better than FH5 anyways unless you prefer the physics of Forza, I honestly can't go back to FH5 without getting bored in the first 5 minutes.

@skizecraft yes they did because of there own fault I never did money glitches or anything like that so it Was heart breaking even making a different account didn't make a difference I couldn't go online on that so I would have too buy a another xbox & make a new account if want be able go online in FH5 again which sucks.

As a person who lives in Arizona I love the Arizona plate mod but I would love for the developers to allow a more realistic day night cycle so we can drive during the night half the time and the other half during the day.

im not going to say for certant, but i am 97.563% sure that the reason you got baned is for one of the early mods, where you unlock all cars, because there is a cupple cars that only a few people are alowed to have, wich is imposible to get without hacking, wich makes them to ban you, i cant remember the name of the car tho, think it was a mclaren not sure

@@fueledwithboost It's even worse when the community itself condones banning people that do these harmless mods. Even the Forza Painter tool, which actually improves the livery editor, is classed as something illegal.
Banning modders that are having fun and cause no harm to others is an extremely scummy decision by Microsoft. Another reason why this game is dying there hasn't been a good Forza game since FH3 unfortunately. FH4 really was the start of it falling off for me and FH5 only doubled down on that.

Yeah, the time-gated content thing is an insult to me. We bought the damned game so that crap should ALL be in the Autoshow where we can earn the credits to buy them. We should be able to play the game at OUR leisure, not worry about our attendance record like we're a bunch of children.

I used the rare Cars Mod and got not banned. For me it works pretty fine...

I mean its possible to get mods for the most games, for a while fh5 had even problems with them, even i met a modder while crusing with people and messed a bit around but nothing serious (he also told me he only started modding after a ban caused by bugs from the game which i know happened to other people as well)

From a developers standpoint it makes no sense. Almost all of the mods in this video should be features in the game aldready, and most mods by their nature are janky at best. Only a modders ideas help developers, not their skills, and most studios who developed games during Covid (such as fh5) were struggling financially anyway. They could barely support the people working on the game aldready let alone hire more people
