Dad had many contacts all over the country, maybe world, to carry out his plot to protect his name so his son's wouldn't tell. And he was a messed up man. He also told them they wouldn't be able to work anywhere ( of means) to survive because he knew everyone and would make sure they couldn't work with any good companies.

Their demeanor during the trial process proved their contempt for the court. 4. To try to justify or excuse their monstrous actions decades after their convictions is morally reprehensible.

They actually WERE remorseful which is why they were depressed, suicidal and confessed to their therapist. 3. I have no idea wtf you mean about their demeanor proving contempt to the court lol 4. They were afraid they'd be killed by the parents due to the abuse they suffered (and they have evidence to back it up). So if they thought they were in imminent danger and acted out of fear, that is an imperfect self-defense resulting in voluntary manslaughter

Sexual abuse victims can have very bizarre behaviors while processing the abuse. They were still children too
