Buy some POR-15 and use a q-tip to paint the holes in the fenders so they dont rust out. When you use the rubber wellnuts you need it.

The spring puts tension on the joints it connects to help limit/prevent leaks

The springs aren’t necessary but just ease of mind you dont get a leak i guess. They rattle for about 5 minutes as the exhaust heats up
Someone probably said this already but the springs are just added security if the clamp comes loose or breaks you don't loose your muffler/ exhaust tip

I had the Tomei 80. Not recommended. It's a race spec muffler for a reason. I sold it in less than 3 months despite really wanting it beforehand and liking the sound. I like the sound, not the volume. It's only tolerable with the silencer and you can't drive hard with it installed. Also, you lose lower end power/torque because of the diameter differences, turbulence, and lower exhaust velocity. I was also not a fan of the lack of flanges. The exhaust was easy to leak. It really only helps in the upper RPMs. Being turboed myself, it showed potential up high but at the cost of drivability and noise considerations.
I purchased the Fujitsubo Authorize RM and it works in all RPMs with the turbo and it sounds just as good if not better.
Hey kaz I also have a tomei exhaust too and I’m running those spring too that came with it so it doesn’t loosen up any of the piping. It work super great in my opinion.

Those spring clips for the tomei is pretty necessary.. pain in the ass to install but will keep your tomei secured cuz my friends’ tomei fell off after installation on the streets lmfao

I would recommend the springs for the Tomei as it’s extra support for the catback. You’ll need it as your are lowered and you could hit things while rolling that could knock it off easier. -Rallysport rep Josh
