Allow me to shorten the answer: The movie completely removes the stakes in the first scene by killing of John Connor, the “Chosen One” of the last 2 movies, and expecting us to care about the fate of their new “Chosen one”, despite the fact it will likely just cause a new “Chosen one” to pop up. On top of this, their “New” future is relatively similar to the current future, with the only difference I can see being the resistance has lost brain cells because they sent a human who is inferior to a machine rather than a machine. And finally, all the great talent has grown old and lost some it’s power they once held.
Man, even if they send a human it would be someone with some tech knowledge that arrives years prior and builds a lot of anti-terminator guns
DillyDyson007 it makes sense with that movie. Technically John was still the “Chosen one” of that movie. Yes Sarah was the protagonist along with Reese, but when I say “Chosen one”, I mean savior of the world spoken of in say a prophecy or something. Really, Skynet was trying out kill John by killing her, just in a round about way. As for sending Kyle back instead of a machine, well he needed to make John as well, which is something a machine couldn’t do, so there sending a human makes sense.
This definitely needs to be emphasized more. People are spending more time focusing on the women in this film as opposed to the plot ruining the foundation of Terminator franchise, including the lore, character development, etc., across all films, even Dark Fate. If John is replaceable, then so is Dani, so there is no need to rush through time to save her, and no need for this movie or any of the Terminator movies to even exist. It's lazy, dumb, and just disappointing, especially since they wasted Linda Hamilton and Arnold.
Also, In Grace's future, the "Resistance" has a way easier time than John's.
They have a futuristic helicarier and some 90's comic book looking canons, while John had 80's-90's technology, weaponry and at most things they stole from Skynet.
The stakes In both John's future and past are way higher.
I can shorter it even further.
THE MOVIE WAS SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
It's kind of hard to have suspense in a movie when you know nothing matters. Once they established that Judgement Day is inevitable, and that somebody would just replace the future leader of the resistance even if you killed him, then there's no point to anything because it's just going to end the same way regardless.
Also, your handwriting still looks like my mom's.
Universal probably will just limitless Terminator movies, but with the same plot and different actors
Might as well stop sending terminators back in time
I'd laugh if they did that and then they actually change the future because they said, "f*** it."
The utter nileism of that too .......other than the philosophy making the whole movie a pointless exercise and making no sense.
Terminator 2 was one of the best movies in-part because it made me care about a robot.
Terminator Dark Fate made me stop caring about anything anymore.
Yeah, I think that's a huge problem. Dani and Grace really needes time to bond too, and the problem was they shoehorned this "Sarah Connor" character that got in the way of that. So when Dani started crying at the end I really did not give a fuck.
@@WeekendWarrior1 the movie didn't make sense at all!!! T800 knew skynet was destroyed and that means no future for his kind. Knowing that he should of been rebuilding his creator skynet!!! Instead he went to bond with humans? A fucking killing machine? Let say he learned humans aren't really a threat this could of even been a turning point where skynet being built by a machine that understood humans would then help them against the new enemy legion? Maybe this would of been a better plot honestly...
Sphere In a deleted scene in T2 the T-800 had its chipped removed to reset in order to learn
Bring old model terminator who actually kills John conner which I thought would have been better for a sarah Connor solo, but instead we get this new hero who no one ever heard of or cares about gets a marry sue hero who decides a Justin beiber hair style is threatening and a non threatening obvious terminator 2 and 3 copycat with same abilities, but is somehow more worthless then it should have been and another t800 die for the 4th or 5th time like no one saw that coming and expect the movie to be good.
I would rather have a solo where sarah an Arnold cross paths again and have her be taken to the future then whatever they dished up, plus come up with original lines everyone already knows terminators classic one liners it ain't gonna get better being repeated by another character.
I dont want to seem like a hater but come up with something original for goodness sakes instead of recycling what has already been done.
@@sphere3704 so like the geth and quarians in mass effect 3?
Dark Fate already died when John Conor did.
Tim Simonson I love you for your profile pic landsmand
And got terminated at the box office.
It should've been called "Terminator: No future for humans."
But Weekend? Didn't you notice when Sarah shot guns? That means the movie is good.
But of course she was good. Especially Dani, who was STUNNING ™ and BRAVE ® so I had to CLAP©
Why wouldn't anyone like this movie? You got to look at women.
🦏🥛
@@meleemastermaa1449 Well, one woman at least.
I thought the fly made the movie good.
Miles was _such_ a great character. The guy gets shot, is dying, has a wife and kids, and *_still_* tries to save the lives of the police officers by keeping the explosive switch from going off for as long as he can. He doesn't give a one-liner, he doesn't say "Fuck you, pigs!" or anything like that. He's gasping, struggling, and manages to say "I'm not sure how long I can keep holding this." He didn't have to do this for the guys who shot him, but he knew they weren't bad people, they were just doing their job and thought Sara and the T-800 were terrorists, so of course they shot first.
Miles was a bloody hero and the MVP of Terminator 2, goddammit!
“But the future refused to change”
God damn. We are living in the Chrono Trigger bad end.
"But you're still hungry..."
Cyrus Wolfe For all Chrono Cross' issues it has the Einlanzer the coolest sounding name for a holy sword I have ever seen for some reason.
At least Lavos was a cool villain, not just Bootleg Skynet #2.
Cyrus Wolfe Not to mention Cross is a better game, but nobody's willing to admit that yet, or probably ever.
not ray halliburton I feel every game in the Chrono franchise does what it does excellently. Trigger is the perfect turn based RPG, Cross has its own special Rock Paper Scissors mechanic and Radical Dreamers is an awesome choose your own adventure thing. Then again if a PS1 game loses out to a SNES game in terms of technical aspects everyone involved in making that game should commit toaster bath.
James Cameron also went on record being angry that Newt and Bishop got unceremoniously killed off at the start of Alien 3, saying it’s cheap to kill off established characters so disrespectfully. Cough. Lol.
OMG so it’s not the real James Cameron who did this! It was evidently a T1000
As if skynet wouldn't have a laundry list of secondary objectives. And a final order to protect and ensure skynets rise.
All it would need to do is walk to DARPA, cut it's skin off and say "here ya go R&D nerds!" 🤷♂️
or at least self destruct
skynet was already afraid of the HK getting to smart and rebelling against it, thats why it let them in read only mode. there is no change in heck skynet wouldn't have set it to kill itself after the job was done at the very least
@@dexdrako not even that, hell a terminator does not need a hobby if it gets bored, the terminator that killed John should have just went to some remote location and stared at a wall till judgement day
It was such a stupid idea...its like they all just got wasted one night and wrote this garbage script.
In full agreement, the T1 had orders to kill sarah because she'll raise the future hero, in T2 the T-1000 had orders to kill John only because John existed and was getting close to judgment day.
So in dark fate, if the order is to kill John (and it does) then why not Sarah? She has knowledge of the terminators, and was actually close to killing off skynet creator. (and actually did attempt to stop skynet related projects prior to T2 that led to her sectioning in the mental health prison)
So yeah, she is a legit secondary objective but left alive because...fanfiction logic.

I keep imagining him saying, "Fuck you, I was right!!!" many times.
Is Razorfist still alive? I thought Kyle Kulinski murdered him.
I always thought Terminators would self-destruct after they completed their objective.
But no. F**k that. Arnie's gotta come back for another cameo!
I don't know why Arnie didn't start up Skynet again. If Judgement Day doesn't happen, especially after killing John, shouldn't he realize something's wrong?
@@SlyCooperJr That's a good point James.
This movie is just bad.
@@WeekendWarrior1 in the extended version we see the terminators have something called a learning cpu, which is disabled during missions, john and sarah activate it, not before sarah tries to kill the cpu thus killing arnie, but john defends it, and because they gave it a learning cpu, he learned to understand emotions.... but the very same terminator that died in the molten metal, and we were told in missions said cpu was disabled, so Why would it be enabled for Carl?
Actually just work on next one. So he would probably just make sure Skynet rises or some other shit. Him developing concience and helping Sarah has no sense and its more baffling than anything else in this movie.
@Silver Scorpio I think either works. It would make sense for Skynet to direct the terminator to put the world on the Golden Path and then remove itself so it couldn't inadvertently cause new changes, but it's not how the terminators may have been programmed to operate. Returning to base after a successful mission would be better during the future war, but that directive breaks down once you send it back to a time when there is no base to return to.
I guess we can say that this franchise has no.........Salvation.
Ironic because for my money, salvation was the one clever and decent path the series had for a sequel
Nate Winchester sure, it was badly done, but at least it tried something new and interesting.
Either that, or (yet another) Termination.
Again. And again. It feels like a closed circle.
Nate Winchester Salvation was the right way to go but it was poorly executed and kinda bad.
John Connor was pretty cool and I liked the concept of the half human half terminator, the action was badass and was shot well. Kyle Reese was pretty good but everything else was just mediocre and I was struggling to stay awake.
Poorly developed romance between cyborg man and pilot girl. What was it that made them fall in love? He saved her, gave her his jacket and... has a strong heartbeat? That’s all I can really remember. I can believe the stuff between John and his wife though. It wasn’t the main focus and was done alright.
Sorry for this comment but I wanted to talk about this movie.

@@Serena_Maeve Maybe he has got I have not heard anything more on Tim Miller.
There are two scenarios that are very likely for a terminator, 1. Pretty sure after killing John Connor, Carl would’ve tried to bring skynet back again by being discovered by another scientist, and then undoing what John and Sarah did and Ensure the survival of skynet instead of just sitting around “being human”... 2. After fulfilling his objective , he would have no other function and just be deactivated. Those are the only two paths a terminator would make without being ordered what to do

Did they not learn anything from Genisys, when they tried to make John Connor a Terminator and THAT didn’t work.
I would like to quote Kyle Reese: "That terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. Not for me, for me it ended with salvation!

Salvation is the only other good Terminator Movie. I classify it as a spin off. The main Terminator story arc imo is all the time travel stuff. For me that story arc ended with Terminator 2. Salvation was a fun look at the future timeline.
Or they could make a movie like that Resistance game, which is about FUTURE war from T1 and T2 flashbacks (or flashforwards?).
Personally I just wanted to see Edward Furlong especially & also Linda Hamilton again to continue it. When I heard they killed him at the very start, I lost interest. Plus I saw that it had been done by SJWs (a character included of no gender?). No problem with that, but not if your DELIBERATLEY ruining it for others for the sake of a cause.
It's like this: I'm vegan, but I would never, ever go to your favourite steak house & bully you into eating a lentil pattie instead when you wanted to go have a steak. *That is what Dark Fate did.*
Or the many other diverse lead charecters in movies - including the way MiB got a female MiB.
See the difference? The issue with SJWs is forcing themselves on Others and (to a lesser extent) being racist & sexist in a way that is cool & excusable to them.
Diversity itself is good - give black kids, etc heros that look like them.
I honestly saw quite good indicators that SJW behaviour massively influenced Obama Voters to vote for Trump, then they complain about it, not realizing how badly they treat others for years helped a lot.
When you shortened "John Connor" to "JC" I thought for a moment you meant "James Cameron".
JC trope is real
I thought JC Penney for a brief nano second.
Hollywood: Soooo Sisyphus...so lots of sequels than?!

The part about a Terminator being left alone for two decades, guess he forgot about the part where their chips are set to read-only when sent out into the field.

How do we know you're not a robot?
"Terminator Franchise: the last three films don't exist and the first two don't matter."
- Pissed off youtube commenters
it ended in terminator 2
THE END
The great irony of this film is that Tim Miller would be John Conner's ultimate hero. Tim Miller successfully destroyed all future potential for any future Terminators...and nothing else could make John Conner happier than that.
You know what, I’m gonna say it.
Dark Fate is worse than Genysis.
Seems about right
At least genesys was entertaining
Black Ninja and the plot. And the script. And the effects. I can’t even tell what was good about Genysis.
Black Ninja that’s a hard question. Genysis fucks up classic characters, inserts dumb jokes and retarded plotlines and ends up being actually offensive. The same and even more can be said about Dark Fates, but AT LEAST the action is somewhat decent.
@Black Ninja You are totally right but it makes the movie unwatchable, also it could have used a better direction.
Anyone else notice that each time they reboot terminator they just reuse the idea of a liquid metal terminator in genesis they have the actual liquid metal terminator and John Connor terminator who even tho he is made of Nanites(which look like cat litter) serves the same purpose of constantly regenerating and reforming around damage and shape shifting and the rev 9 whice has the liquid metal form and the weird metallic skeleton
You'd think after metal liquid the next form would be metal air or metal fire.
It basically recycled the same plot and each movie became worst adding little originality.
So terminator 2 basically says there is no fate but what we make for ourselves, but dark fate says that this fate is inevitable.
wHuat?
15:15 isn't Sisyphus condemned to roll a really heavy rock on top of a hill but the rock is enchanted so that every time he comes close to the top, it will roll back down the hill ? Maybe it's another version of the myth...
Yep. 👌
"Get fu*ked!" In a nutshell... Yep.
Dani’s brother was actually more intressting than Dani herself, after all he knew how to drive a car from trying to protect Dani from Rev-9
In T2 Uncle Bob literally said "I have to stay functional until my mission is complete. *Then it doesn't matter.* "
After it kills John Connor, why isn't the Terminator programmed with secondary missions of killing as many of the hairless monkeys as it can? Or something more subtle, like manipulating people* and events to hasten Skynet's invention? Or even carrying a pen drive in his head with a proto-Skynet on it, ready to be uploaded to a handy military computer? It'd be like a robo-version of Kyle Reese's paradox!
* Manipulated with, like, bullets.
Even t3: the rise of the machines was better than dark fate.
"That terminator is out there. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead." It's not going to feel bad about killing John Conner, then retire and start a family. It's a robot. It will follow it's program. It doesn't have emotions.
The highlight of this movie is finding out WW reads Kingdom.
Everything else is pain.
Kingdom is fucking amazing.
everyone should read Kingdom.
@kinsmarts if you're asking what Kingdom is: it is a manga/eastern comic that follows a War General Shin who fought to unite China during the Warring States Period of China. It has it's flaws (like everything does), but the high points are so fucking high, that the low points just seem to fly under the radar. An absolute masterpiece of a manga in building up hype
"I need your clothes, your boots and your menstrual cycle"
"I'm not a robot. Just enhanced."
So...what, your b**bs and butt are fake? You're full of botox instead of blood?
The only cool part of the movie was Grace. And they try to play her off as the female badass empowerment icon in the marketting. And then they give her a weakness that is laughable. As good as you're toy robot running out of batteries. Why not just make her a robot then?
Also, they figured out how to enhance humans in the future, but not how to stop diabetes?
The only other movie I know that did Diabetes as a weakness was Hansel and Gretel with Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton and Famke Jansen. And as bad as that movie was, the diabetes part made sense in the story.
Imagine if they did make Sarah Connor partly crazy after John died, and it just shows a clip of her hunting one of the random Terminators, and it just finds John's dead shambling corpse and Sarah just disturbing talks to it like he's still alive, and still uses it as bait to hunt them. Now that'll be a horrible movie.
There were so many ideas they could’ve used but they chose low hanging fruit
Too dark bro
Terminator 7: Weekend at Arnie's
The movie was doomed, because the studio went with an ideology agenda, rather than a story, which is what all movies should be about.
T2 had Sarah Connor as a strong lead, did that make it flop? T3 had a female terminator, is that why it was boring? T3 to T6 are boring cash grabs, what other agenda caused them to be bad movies?

The terminator comic books by Dark Horse comics do an awesome job at continuing the Terminator IP, without dumping on the Terminator movie or destroying the cannon. I made some videos on this topic. There’s so many ways that the Terminator IP could have been used to continue with new movie, especially with the future war.

8:10 I thought the Terminator was able to learn because they reset his chip to learn mode in a deleted scene in T2. That scene explains why the terminators don't question their missions because Skynet set it that way. The Terminator that killed John Connor just grew a conscience because... I got so many questions!
I'm not the only one who wants Possum for EFAP right?
The thing that really gets me about this movie, right at the beginning when the T-800 shows up and kills John, Sarah is right there and she tries to stop him. She shoots him in the back, then tries to grab the shotgun out of his hand. T-800 grabs her by the hair and throws her to the ground and then just... walks away. He just walks away. Are you seriously telling me he didn't have 'Objective 2: Kill Sarah Connor so she doesn't have a second Jesus baby who is also fated to destroy the machines'? Especially when she was RIGHT THERE and just tried to prevent the killing of the primary target? No. He just walks away. How about tertiary objectives to prevent the families of other known resistance fighters? Or strategically weaken humanity? No. He walks away and becomes a family man.
The real hero of this movie is Diego Ramos, without him Grace and Danny would've been killed.
RIP Diego, he should have been the third main protag instead of Carl and Sarah.
The movie was bad at the beginning and in the end it looked like it was at the beginning.

You're welcome!
@@WeekendWarrior1 Finally got around to watching the review, it was entertaining and well done; I'm glad you included the analysis of the good parts of the franchise (T1 & T2) as it makes it easier to understand why this one doesn't work as well.
Also from that Jame's Camereon blurb about his idea of "what about if a Terminator was sent back and had no objective", didn't that sorta happen with Genysis, I mean granted he had the objective of protecting young Sarah Connor, but he was stuck for a couple of decades when they made the time jump and all. I dunno, seems like the idea would have either been done better as its own movie (like you said), or that it's irrelevant as it's already been done (or partially explored) by T2 and Genysis.
Ok a new terminator movie this is gonna be gr-

4:30 No, I refuse to believe that you use "The Real Folks Blues" there. No no no no no no no no, don't do this to me, man.
And to think, a tiny indie studio, the one behind the Rambo shooting game no less, managed to create a competent game with a great story, with well established characters and HUGE respect for the source material, for only a fraction of this movies budget...
I love how this movie made the sacrifices of Sarah Connor, Kyle Reese, Miles Dyson, and even the good Terminator from Terminator 2 utterly meaningless. And all the victims of the T-1000’s and original Terminator’s rampages are even more sadder because Skynet managed to win despite being destroyed. They weren’t avenged. I wanted to like Dark Fate, but when it starts off by making the previous two movies not matter, I can’t engage. John Connor deserved better
"I wanna do something new, Not Nostalgia based" Because you're too busy with all 25 Avatar movies.
PS Weekend Warrior... They actually DO call it a Terminator. Androgynous Thing says: "It's A Terminator, REV 9 model". And Dark Fate, it's T1, T2 plus Genesis. AT also seems to have a drug problem.
oooof, must have forgotten that they called it a Terminator. Thanks Robert.
James Cameron is a genius. He knew if he directed this and it failed he'd look like an idiot, so he gets Miller to throw under the bus just in case. Genius!!
What would a Terminator do if his learning computer was on and he had nothing else to do? He'd become a hired assassin. If he can't be a terminator for Skynet or Legion, he'll do it for someone else. Killing is the best that he's good at, so he'll seek out rich clients and kill their rivals for money. He'll live in this nice, beautiful flat outside the city, with the house being large and rich, but in reality, there's a large space underneath it to maintain his weapons. It would also have technology far ahead of our time, constructed by the Terminator using raw materials and his knowledge of future technology. In short, he'd be a richer, more successful version of Deathstroke or Deadshot, living the high life with money he gains from killing people for the rich.
According to behind the scene reportings after the release James Cameron and Tim Miller had literal screaming matches because of what Tim did in the movie. Cameron reportedly told him his ideas were shit, so he put them in the movie out of spite.
I can believe you, Miller seems to be arrogant too.
“You’re right you’re right”
Don’t know if that’s the lyrics but it made me laugh every time.
It's "yeah right" actually, you should give it a listen.

Regarding the shot gun swinging scene...remember how powerful Kyle Reese swinging of the steel pipe against the T-800 were and even then they weren't effective? It really makes the REV-9 look like a wuss for getting staggered from such weak ass swings.
It really bothers me how many people do not understand that T2 didn't end with Judgment Day being stopped (even in the director's cut version of the movie, the ending where Judgment Day is avoided isn't included, it's a bonus scene), it ended with it being delayed, which T3 followed up on. It's not possible to stop Skynet, because stopping Skynet would prevent John Connor from existing. Killing John wouldn't prevent Skynet from existing, just create a timeline in which there is no savior for the resistance, but stopping Skynet/Judgment Day prevents Kyle Reese from going back and meeting Sarah. The "Fate you make" is the fate in which John saves humanity. Sarah chooses to believe it's 'stopping Skynet', but she's wrong. Ironically, if the last couple of Terminator movies listened to the fact that it's a closed loop, they'd be less garbage and just continue the franchise in the only direction it can go: further into the loop.
I would like more Weekend based covers of classic movie themes tho
It sucks because Hollywood sucks. It's not that hard tbh famalam.
One thing I never understood, is why Sarah when shoot the Red 9, it literally flinch due a high power shotgun. But the Red 9(s) in the future scene, where the resistance surely have a *ton* of more advance weapons than whatever Sarah had, and the Red 9(s) didn't even care!. And how the supposedly Resistance that is supposed to struggle, can spent resources to "enhance" humans?!
*And then there's Carl killing a kid in public, running his own draperies business and starting a family with no one recognising him. Well done Tim Miller & James Cameron.*
I always though terminators would just stop and power down when the finished their mission.
I guess this movie left a Dark fate for the franchise
"What happens to a franchise when it has no purpose, and is just awash among woke humans for two and half decades? What happens to that guy?" - James Cameron
Do not forget the worst plot twist, killing John Connor and another leader appearing simply eliminate all reason to send a Terminator to kill this leader as it will just trade one leader for another.
What really bothers me about the Terminator franchise after the second one is that there's just so many possibilities, not only in terms of robots but also in terms of setting. Skynet could've been like "welp, trying to kill the mom and the child didn't worked, but how about the grandparents? How about sending a machine as far in time as we can so we can also erase his entire lineage?" Or how about after the T-1000 maybe a nano-machine robot? Or how about a flying satellite-like terminator? A Metal Gear-like terminator? (you know, giant bipedal monster with nuclear capability) how about a cyborg from the future future that shows the culmination of the human-machine conflict? How about a hacker like terminator that makes a Big Brother kind of scenario? Naaah, YET ANOTHER liquid metal robot but this one is superior because... reasons.
It takes some amazing lack of skill to contradict not only the message of the whole franchise but also your own movie.
Amazing video, I've watched it three times and wasn't bored.
Good video. But those are “cornrows” not “dread locks” 😅

I liked Terminator Salvation's direction with the series.
A look INTO that future. It could be a good movie series or T.V. series.
Showing how people survive in this future. Kinda giving me Walking Dead vibes.
Once you kill John Connor and say, "Oh, hey, Terminators will always exist in some form and so will a new chosen one," then the stakes are utterly gone. Not just in the movie, but for the rest of the franchise. The answer to every Terminator movie from here onward is, "who fucking cares?" The heroes will literally never prevent Judgment Day. EVER.
Let's just say that instead of Rev 9 facing Dani when she was in her early 20s and just a factory worker, Grace and Sarah managed to find her like in the movie, and hide her for 7 more years, training Dani to be badass while Grace informs her of Legion's origins: who made it, when it was first online, all that.
This movie would make even THAT much of an advantage UTTERLY POINTLESS. Even if Dani beat Rev 9, then in the last 10 minutes of the movie, drove to wherever Legion came from and shot the inventor dead in his face before it was created, IT WOULD NOT MATTER, because there will ALWAYS be another Skynet analogue and ALWAYS another John Connor analogue showing up later in the timeline. So in the end, who fucking cares?
I find it funny that they remember salvation was a movie and how thwy had a half terminator half MALE human as a advance terminator model
So they copy and paste the previous movie to their and call it the feminator
Ironically the feminator is a far inferior version from salvation since Marcus doesn't need feminism medicine to move the plot
Using Yeah Right by Joji is a the cheat code for likes.
Objectively Good Taste 👌👌
Such a good point about Sarah having that moment in T1 without the film never having her change her appearance. She turned cold and hardened in 80s pop hair and make-up
My heart was broken by the killing of young John Connor...
T1 - Man v Robot
T2 - Robot v Liquidbot
T3 - Robot v Half Liquid Titty Robot
TS - Man v Fleshbot
TG - Man + Woman + Robot v Sandbot + Liquidbot + Robot + Cloud Based Server
TDF - Women v Oppression + Societal Norms + Logic
Terminator: Salvation was at least trying to be something other than a rehash. It wasn't that great, no, but it tried.
This was my first video I've seen of yours, and I loved it! I didn't think there could be a fresh take on the failure of TDF but you communicated that clearly, and very entertainingly! You deserve my sub.
I did once come with a terminator vs predator film concept once which was probably more respectful than dark fate while also being respectful to the Predator franchise.

you're welcome
Came here for the terminator review, subbed because you're a fellow kingdom enthusiast

T1 worked so well, because it fitted well with the position humanity was really in in the mid 1980s. The premise of "The Day After" was very real, and people watched that on TV and went to bed thinking "oh, well, this may be the last night on Earth".
T2 worked so well, because after the fall of the Eastern Block there was a feeling in the air that the danger of the nuclear war had been avoided. Hence the optimism about better tomorrow...
These days nobody buys intо a military AI starting a nuclear war to exterminate mankind to begin with.
(Not that any points why "Dark Fate" is dung aren't spot on... Great summary!)
I love the "Cutie Pie" at 2:45
That cracked me up. Great video my friend
Ha, and I thought my franchise was bad. This is shits for the birds.
When I see manga, I give a like. Because this is the way.
Dyson's actions are so overlooked. "Wait, I end the world?"......."No!"
What JAmes Cameron said is dumb, because there was no indication that the Terminator was given the hard reset like the previous terminator was, if I remember correctly, Skynet sets the infiltration unit's cpu to read-only, meaning that they can't grow individuality as time progresses, meaning the entire sub-plot of the terminator helping Sarah destroy other terminators is quite literally, the most impossible thing to have happened in the Terminator franchise, that's not counting the creation of the T-X.
