Now imagine if you could combine Phylactery with Aether Lens. Even if the stats don't improve, combining those 2 to free up a slot would be so good.

Since we’re on the Philacrety hype train, I’ve tried it on axe to some decent results. The slow works well with battle hunger allowing you to catch up to opponents (unless you’re drow, am etc.) and it synergises with dunk really well (phil damage applies before dunk damage)
Anyway, love your videos man! Your arc warden video was the reason I started trying him out, to the dismay of my mmr and team

if you're going for a build like this, won't rubick be much better with the spell casting range and the spell amp of his passive? Plus rubick allows you to steal more potent single target spells like finger or laguna blade so I think its pretty good as well?
My build (Rubick main) after this patch is always starting items > Urn (magic damage buff from passive works) > Phylactery > Browns > arcane/eblade > vessel > depends on team comps.

@@MidaniElden people forget he gets a lot more out of it AND out of urns, vessels, dagons and blood grenades
rubik maybe too thin for? at least morph and lich has some defensive skills. but yes rubik would do a lot of damage, but will be like sniper, a glass cannon
The secret ingredient to this build is that you have to use the word "PAM" everytime you cast a spell. It works with every hero. Trust.

it only triggers on single unit target spells, and slark has a knife, a smoke fart, and hops

Two more funny strategy for you to try out:
1) Abaddon with Scepter, Holy Locket, for 390 heal mist coil for every 525 damage your ally takes, refresher for 18 seconds of this bs
2) Brewmaster with Octarine core + Spell Prism for 100% evasion with 7.3s cd and 6.5s uptime
spell amp doesn't increase healing that abaddon does

@@GungnirGS the best you can do with abaddon is stack holy locket and paladin sword. That or you can stack on CD reduction items like octarine and spell prism. Though I doubt a support abaddon can afford octarine after locket and aghs. I'd know since i spam abaddon
I miss the times when abaddon had a -10 borrowed time cooldown. It used to be that you only have a 20 second downtime between uses.
A more reliable combo is having abaddon and io as support. Io can keep core alive and buff them, while abaddon can save IO, that said whenever IO is being healed too, so does the tether target, pretty much makes it impossible for core to die from too much healing. At least for like 9 seconds.

Problem with that build on lich is that you need to be very close to them and have atleast 1 escape option and save items from allies
I do miss Shotgun Morph. Felt like an unnecessary change to the hero.
I am still upset about his Ulti too. His Aghs is great, but I never understood the need for a Hard Carry hero to turn into a Psuedo-Rubick.
i havnt really paid attn to the changes made to morph, why is the shotgun build no longer a thing?

It wasn't a change to the hero tho, his W still does the same thing as before. It was eblade that was changed as it's more beneficial to other heroes rather than only being purchased by a few heroes
shotgun morph was fun af but have to admit, it is super braindead. old eblade was made for morph and its not even close.

Use Phylactery with PA and enemy cant escape with the slow effect plus damage
you can run a combo with Ogre Magi. Have him he be the one with the eblade, meaning he can potentially multi cast it.
Specially since Lich's blast is Aoe.
The only little problem with this build is you cannot maximize the combo's damage because (most of the time) Frost Blast will hit first before E-Blade. Or better yet, you wouldn't be able to carry out the combo (most of the time) especially at long range unless you'd want to wait for E-Blade's projectile to hit first before casting Frost Blast (which would not be very practical).
