Idk if it's just UA-cam recommendations or what but I'm seeing a huge wave of creative dota strats and I love it. I feel like most people who play this game don't like trying new things and just follow whatever guide they happen to find, and it's great to see people mixing it up

I once encountered an enemy mid playing this build with phoenix. If you can't burst him down quickly enough, he will own the opposing team with his high magic dps and dagon burst.
For curios mangochads the ring of health costs 110 more gold than the 11 mangoes but saves you 3 slots. Still, maybe a fistful of mangoes is the right purchase if your rushing an dagon
17:03 Dato is in panic mode. His ult is already refreshed from the refresher shard but he still clicks refresh without using the ult first, thus a refresher is wasted. Still, he managed to get them all and great content as always.
Also as a note, don't egg unless they got hit my your fire spirits or someone else can defend you. Also beware when you dive, since they can stun you or euls you to cancel your dive

I've played some Phoenix mid and many match-ups are very easy. If they rely primarily on right click to CS you will make their life hell with fire spirits. Plus, it's so much damage you'll harass him down and often kill with a tower dive + egg at 6.
I'm GM Phoenix, I've been doing something similar to this for the past 2 years dominating ranked games Phoenix is extremely underestimated by most people and can easily solo carry games with a good start

Im gonna say it. stick/wand is a huge value item that should not be overlooked! i'm also wondering why not tranq instead of ring of health>? my reasoning is that the cost is about the same but you get move speed and 10 extra health regen over ring of health with the obvious caveat. the game i tried this out in, i ended up with a pipe to seal the deal.

its a really fun and good build in low rank. If you can position your egg really good, its almost impossible to lose in a teamfight. Also love to see enemy carry suffering csing creeps.
Ideally I'd like to build Veil of Discord, Heaven's Halberd, Eblade, Radiance and Shiva's because ain't no pesky right-clicker touching this egg. I like Dagon for when the heroes still are nice and squishy after I get Eblade.

I fail to see how this is a "new way to play phoenix". You can pick any nuke hero and does the exact same build and get similar result. It has very little to do with phoenix herself. And you are essentially giving up your scaling so you only build it in stomp. But if you are stomping you build whatever and win.

Caution displacement skills cancel Phoenix 1st skill. Hook, vacuum, Power cogs, etc.
Also vessel lose damage when they're low since the % dmg is current hp

It's still a pretty solo strat to dominate the laning phase. You could even carry if your lane is super ahead.
