This is the best I could find on the internet: www.inmyarea.com/internet/oregon/independence I'll have to rely on my Independence folks who are watching this to tell us who is the very best!
@SalemOR I've has spectrum internet and cell service for a year now and have had no issues at all. I used go have endless problems with Xfinity in Salem
Thats cool. What do you think people moving into Independence MUST know before relocating? Did I miss anything in this video that would be helpful for others to hear?
@SalemOR the little airport, park your plane at the house, stardust restaurant at airport, folks with the Rolls-Royce shelly and Bob did run that restaurant. Chocolate covered bacon candy at melting pot. The best dollar tree big neat and well stocked, love the you pull auto wrecking yards. Mexican restaurants where they don't even speak English. The riffle range. You only got the "good side" of town.
@@SalemOR 1. This is the first place I've ever been told I can't back into a parking space sometimes. 2. People use the middle lane on busy streets to enter traffic. That one stresses me out every time haha. 3. I haven't found a pizza place that scratches the itch of a (Insert name of town) House of Pizza yet. 4. People are generally nice and helpful (ex. making sure I don't get a ticket by parking incorrectly in the parking garage). 🙂
Great informative video. I currently live in Livingston, Montana, but I am looking to relocate in the spring of 2025. My brother lives in Salem and he loves it. Independence feels more like the small towns I have lived, in the past … 🙂
I was born in Salmon, Idaho, but I have lived in Montana ever since I was three. Most of the time, we’ve lived in the Livingston/Paradise Valley area. … less than an hour from Yellowstone National Park.
It is true. Both Monmouth and Independence have been struggling. And IMO has been due to very poor financial decisions. There no reason for an apartment here to be 1600$ a month @SalemOR

Yeah, it's a good one!
Used to stay in the town of Dallas, just west of Salem... quaint

@@ctycwby Spectrum or MINET
Would you say Spectrum and MINET are solid options or are they spotty?

I know Bob the guy who has the Rolls

I was going to visit Independence on Wednesday but I had to bump it to next week. What a timely video!
Ha! That is great timing. Have you been before?
@SalemOR I haven't! I moved to Oregon from NH a year ago and I try to visit new places on my days off. 🙂
@@Acroteleutium Ah! Did you have any culture shocks coming from NH to Salem?

Thanks for sharing! These are great little tid-bits and differences. Anything you miss about NH?

Sweet! We can't wait to have you. How long have you lived in Montana for?

the independence is facing an extreme amount of debt, lack of infrastructure, high water and sewer bills and higher taxes. be aware!!!!!
Thanks for sharing. What else should people know about the town before moving there?
