1. 4:53 Actually, no. The only thing Beetleborgs and Power Rangers have in common is they were developed by Haim Saban. Power Rangers derived from Super Sentai while Beetleborgs derived from Metal Hero. 2. Ledian was actually based on one of Game Freak's earlier game called Pulseman.
"based on" is a strong term. I guess I mean Saban looked at their success with Power Rangers and said, "let's do that again". And I had never heard of Pulseman, but as I look at it now, it's obvious that you are exactly right. It's like it could have been called Ledian-man.
Considering that Pokémon’s whole thing is “evolution” my guess is that upon restoration The dna in the fossil adapts to it’s new surroundings Which would explain why mega aerodactl is the original The same could be said for tirtuga as it’s shell looks like a inflatable diving vest
Haha, it was definitely accidental, though I don't know, maybe something subconscious? I might give it a slight redesign before putting it into the game :P
Huh I always placed the Abra line as more marsupial like a demented Oppossum or in Kadabra’s case a kangaroo just without the kicking plus Possums sleep for jaut as long as Abra do so a loose connection
I actually did something like this before, where I made a common ancestor to mammalian water starter Pokémon (including one I made for my region) based on early pinniped and mustelid species.
10:11 however they are just they’re world’s version of those things. Just like how growlithe is not called the puppy pokemon because there are normal dogs in Pokémon. It’s just that world’s version of a dog and is referred to as a dog. Our world has golden retriever dogs and Dalmatian dogs, while the Pokémon world has growlithe dogs ands lilipup dogs. Boom! I just solved why some Pokémon are referred to as the animals they are based on.
Fun Fact: Some butterflies DO drink blood. Granted, they drink the blood of corpses rather than actually biting living creatures, but still. These kinds of butterflies are used in forensics alongside other insects to identify the presence of corpses in a given area and help determine how fresh the corpse is. Horrifying, but an interesting concept nonetheless.
Pokemon : legends mew Proffesor Rye Starters would be kabuto, lileep and amaura (I know that genesect's entry says that his ancient form was from 300 million years ago, and humans didn't existed yet IN OUR WORLD, we don't know quite how it was in pokémon world) BTW my favorite ancestor is bataralix
Hi, I would like to say I love the work your doing and these designs are great. I've come to ask if I can use any of your work in my fan game that I'm creating, I will of course credit everything and specify what is yours and will not be profiting from it. I ask this because the deeper plot of the game begins to revolve around time travel and I want to add in any possible Pokémon ideas to make the variety and overall game have as much open world content as I can and adding more Pokémon that appear in the past is a big thing for this game since you can go to multiple regions in the past and I'd love to be able to utilize this if possible because these Ancestor Pokémon are top notch and its such a unique idea. I can make all the resources I don't have as well I'm just asking for permission.

Massive fan of the idea, especially Venosect! Without a doubt my favourite concept for a Genesect predecessor.
Bludgeon I love your work

Man this was a fun video! Venosect looks like a total cutie who cares how bloodthirsty it is!
Thank you! I totally agree. I was all set to create a vicious monster, then when I modeled its eyes after Paras I fell in love with it!
I hope this trend catches on, these are all phenomenal!

Pulseman was a Sega Genesis game which was never released in the states and only appeared on the short-lived Sega Channel.
0:19 tirtuga is the common ancestor to every turtle pokemon.
Probably yes. But Tirtouga as we know it? Or did some pre-fossilisation version of Tirtouga exist?
Considering that Pokémon’s whole thing is “evolution” my guess is that upon restoration
The dna in the fossil adapts to it’s new surroundings

No, the main feature of diglet is its “snoz for sniffing fud”
10:30 the Moscito, is an S Tier Fakemon. Really great design for all stages. Love it
Love the idea of these bring fossil evolutions with split evolutions
I'm sure this wasn't intentional, but it amuses me that flobottle looks like a bong

Name the hedgehog prevolution spikelitle
I really like this idea! Great videos and amazing artwork!
Thank you so much!
I have no idea why, but the unnamed little guy should be named Cocoratto
Hey neckpunch, do you need more ancestry trees? I have a bunch from older projects and I can update them with new pokemon if necessary.
Glorious
So I’m not the only one who thinks bulbasaurs a frog. I just realised they have ears and frogs don’t.
LOVE Venosect!!!!!

That's a great idea. Possibly related to Buizel too, right?
@@neckpunch73 I was thinking that as well walrain, especially since it’s a walrus.
This is what past paradox Pokémon should’ve been.
Hard agree.

not even bad. like peeka boo? cos it pops its little shrew head out of its nut like a diglet?
@@neckpunch73 Yes. Like peekaboo.
My favorites are the Amphibian ancestor and the original genesect
Thank you! Glad you liked them. Venesect is my favourite too :)
For your information remoraid is based off a archerfish witch is in the same genus family as a octopus
I...don't think that's true
Oh scratch that remoraid is also based off a remora
Also archerfish has the unique defense tactic in spitting water out of their mouth
7:40 I wanna see Curved Blades.
7:02 I think it should be a ghost type

Le fox from bunny versus money Has a sword is mischievous and kind of has a French accent even though not being French
Ancestor to humanoid Pokemon such as Gardevoir, Gothitelle and Hatterene please.
Oh man I suck at humanoid Pokemon, but the challenge is very tempting.
