i wish snoozycub had a bit of a yellow tint as a reference to grolar bears, which are real grizzly/polar bear hybrids (can also be pizzly bears depending on the se of the parents)
Yes! I keep on telling anyone that will listen that this needs to be a thing. With new regions and regional pokemon it would only make sense that hydrids would fit into the world. I've also liked the idea that a game could explore the idea of invasive species and having to control invasive population through outbreaks. And a common issue with invasive species is when hybrids can become more adapted than native population.

Way back when Gen 2 first came out and they announced Pokemon breeding I was excited to create hybrid Pokemon. I was very disappointed to learn that wasn't how it worked and set about drawing several hybrid Pokemon. Looking back on them now they really are just fusions. This idea is MUCH cooler. I might have to revisit the whole hybrid Pokemon thing through this concept.
loved all these concepts, super neat and a super well dont video :) for a future idea, what about a tapu of every type? i feel like the tapus are kinda overlooked when it comes to legendaries so i think itd be neat to show them some love
While many Pokemon could work for this, I think Araquanid and Orbeetle are the best pair for the hybrid idea I had: Bubball is a Bug/Water Pokemon that resembles a naiad (aquatic insect nymph) suspended in a bubble of water that it uses like a vehicle. It uses its weak psychic power to keep this bubble from popping and move it along the ground, as it's unable to breathe air and has a soft body that the bubble protects. It has an intense curiosity, and is always eager to discover more, but is also quite cowardly. Bubball evolves into Roquanaut, a Bug/Water Pokemon that resembles a stylized mayfly or stonefly with a bubble around most of its body that makes it seem larger, along with a tube-like tail that sticks out of the bubble. Roquanaut is much more bold than its previous form, willing to go to the most dangerous of places if it means discovering something new. Roquanaut can channel water from its bubble to its tail and propel it at high speeds, using it to launch itself in a single direction or as a long-range attack.
If Nidorook and Nidonite were real, we could make a chess game using those Pokémon, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Pawniard, and Bisharp. One side would be the normal coloration and the other would be the shiny coloration
Here's hoping this kind of mechanic becomes official at some point - between this and DeadBedSpred's recent videos about it, I feel like it's on the way!
@@XorbityXorbGlowbe that's cool to know though, that different people come up with such similar ideas and give them differing mechanics based on their own creativity 😊
I was actually thinking of making my own Fakemon Region at some point, and I might include some of my own Hybrid Pokemon in them. And I'll probably have them be obtainable only through breeding sense I feel that Hybrid Pokemon wouldn't be found the wild sense this concept comes from breed two specific Pokemon.
Hybrid Pokémon would break Pokémon with so many different names including trying to complete the Pokédex They should make a hybrid-dex for hybrid pokemon, that would make Pokémon games harder to complete entirely
Dazzony isn't referencing a Zonkey, it's referencing a Zony A zonkey is a zebra and a donkey, a zony is a zebra and a pony, and I don't remember ponyta and rapidash being donkeys
I had more the idea to introduce Hybrid Pokémon through Human Experiments with DNA Splicing. The Scientific Community would probably take quick action to set Legal Guidelines for the use of this process, likely due to outbreaks of improperly-developed Hybrid Pokémon. I figured the combinations would be restricted to very similar or closely-related Pokémon Species, over trying to combine the defining aspects of two Pokémon, which could easily lead to Hybridized Weapons that could destroy the World. The Hybrid Pokémon in this video could easily fit within these guidelines... In my own headcanon Region, the Head Enforcer of this new Legal Process is also the one to have originally _failed to follow these rules,_ resulting in the escape and outbreak of a Pikachu-Carvahna Hybrid Species named *Pirahchu.* The remorse he had over this incident led to his establishment of these Laws so other scientists don't make the same mistakes he did...
I imagine that Snoozycub and Grizznore have the hidden ability Enraged. The bubble acts like Mimikyu's Disguise ability in that the bubble either protects from damage or cuts the damage in half but when it's popped, it raises the Atk, Sp. Atk, and Speed, but lowers the Def and Sp. Def.
I remember when I was playing my first Pokémon game, Pokémon x, I tried to breed charmeleon and frogedier thinking it would make an entirely new Pokémon
I'd recommend DeadBedSpread and his cross breed fakemon. It's not the exact same concept but it's very similar. If you're into fakemon designs like the ones you showcased here, I'd highly recommend checking out DeadBedSpread and his fakemon. He's underrated, he would appreciate the support.
In my opinion this is the only realistic possibility for true Pokemon Fusion. It’s realistic, create entirely new Pokemon and doesn’t involve the millions of Pokemon actual fusion would create. However this would mean Hybrids need to be restricted to certain Combinations Going by Egg Groups would still make to many Combinations, however I watched a video where the sollution could be that both Parents need to share both Egg Group combinations. Still while I’ve always been sceptical about fusions, hybrids is an idea I would like to further explore
Ok, so I'm really bad at math, but the concept of Hybrids sounds very cool, so I want to try to calculate the number of Unique Family Combinations to produce unique Hybrids. There are 465 Pokemon Families including Legendaries and Mythicals, UBs, etc. There are 66 Legendary Pokemon, however 4 are Pre-Evolutions (Cosmog with a Split Evolution hence I'm counting it as one Family) so there are 61 Lines of Legendary There are 21 Mythicals, however Meltan Evolves, and Manaphy only lays Phione so I'm counting 19 Families. There are 11 UB's, with Poipole evolving so 10 Families. 14 Paradox Pokemon (Not Counting the Legendary Duo), making 14 Families This mean 107 Families that are not regular Pokemon. Resulting in 358 Families. However we can remove more Ditto and any Genderless Pokemon can't realistically be included as Dittos whole gimmick is making other Pokemon through breeding and the Genderless Pokemon can't breed without Ditto. So I've counted 20 Families to be removed (Including Ditto), leaving 338. Without taking in consideration Egg Groups which would exponentially lessen the number, the total combination of unique pair Family Combinations (Where the Parent's Gender isn't taken into consideration) are at a whopping 113.233 New Baby Hybrids. However considering, there are 13 distinct usable Egg Groups (Ditto, Genderless and No Eggs Discovered doesn't count as those wouldn't work for Cross-Breeding Purposes), with that in mind can roughly divide the combinations by 13 giving 8710 unique Combinations However this can't be considered the final number of unique Combinations as a lot of Pokemon are in Two Egg Groups, for simplicity I will say half of them are in Two. This would technically increase all possible partners exponentially, however again for simplicity, I will just double the combinations of 8710 to 17420. Tl;dr with my very poor math skills I think the rough amount of Unique Hybrids where the parents gender is unimportant and all members of the same Family produce the same Pokemon are at 17420 as a very rough estimate. If anyone sees any major mathematical flaw I made, please tell so a more accurate number can be given. The premises must be the same though, for if the concept is that both Parents need to share the same Egg COMBINATION, it would drastically change the possibilities as way fewer Pokemon share both Egg Groups with each other.
Nidoking (and queen) has been my ace in so many playthroughs. That line of pokemon has always been a personal favorite of mine everytime. To see new forms, regional forms etc is what I live for
