It doesn't matter how strong of an arm someone has if they keep throwing the ball to the opposing defense instead of their receivers.

Probably the only success story of a strong arm over accuracy QB pick was Josh Allen by the Bills. Name another current starting strong arm QB whose accuracy improved over the seasons. Allen is the only currrent starter that comes to mind for me... On another note, how often have strong arm QBs made it to the super bowl? Mahomes, Burrow, Stafford, Brady all didn't have strong arms, but good accuracy instead. I don't pay enough attention to the Eagles, does Hurts have a strong arm or no?
You nailed it I think! As a Commanders fan, I’m praying they don’t screw it up and pass on Maye. What he was able to do with very little talent around him was amazing!
Good rundown. The one thing I question with Maye is his decision making though. Each game I’ve watched he was fortunate not to throw a couple of picks when trying to make something happen with nothing there. On the flip side, he can be pretty conservative a times. He really does remind me of Kirk Cousins with a little more comfortability running. He has that quiet mind in the pocket to pick you apart. He could really use a year or two behind a guy. Ironically, probably bets fit is behind Kirk Cousins 😂
As a Vikings fan I would be all about that. But I think he will be one of the top 3 picks in the draft by the time all of the Pro Days and combine are over. Vikings only chance will be to trade up into the top 3.
I think the Patriots need Caleb they can always draft an OT later, it seems to always work out for them Cole Strange was a reach but he’s a consistent starter, Sidy Sow has been a gem, David Andrews is still a solid center, Mike Onwenu is still good, Trent is iffy but we can use a second or 3rd rounder to develop his replacement. And WRs I think are subpar but have potential we can always look to free agency and the second round for something good there. But Rn we need the best off-script and play is busted QB to be our QB because that situation happens often for us and Caleb’s ability to escape pressure and deliver accurate passes on the run is a need to start the offensive rebuild.
While I agree with everything you said I believe Maye fits our system better. But we are splitting hairs and I would be thrilled to get either one. Now we just gotta worry about teams trading up ahead of us

This is really well done, thorough analysis. My two cents based on just highlight vids and watching a handful of games is that Daniels has crazy stats this but seems to have benefited from a lot of clean pockets and YAC (though you could probably say that about a lot of them). Drake Maye’s highlights are sick and, perhaps more than any othe QB on the list he hits receivers in stride, which I think should be its own category in an analysis like this. As a not-used-to-sucking Patriots fan, I’d be thrilled with any of the top three, with a slight preference for Maye and Daniels over Williams, but I should watch some of his actual games to get a better sense. The big difference between Daniel’s and Lamar is that Daniel’s only started looking like this kind of player. Lamar looked like Lamar in high school, when his highlights looked like a video game.
Mate, are you worried Belichick will trade back for a safety that most people have mocked as a third rounder? Bill wants to be the only one responsible for success
This year he hasn’t been, he’s been dealing with his own injuries and obviously Burrow’s as well. I’d say he’s a top 20 receiver in the NFL when everything is going well. Would easily be the WR1 on the giants in my opinion
@@StevenEvens7125 If Bengals tag and trade him this off season (seemingly becoming more and more a possibility), they'd likely want either a 1st round pick or early 2nd plus a 3rd round pick for him. It will be interesting on who would offer what for Higgins.

I love the Seahawks and I would absolutely love for the Seahawks to get Jayden Daniels, it's litterally too perfect but it's most likely out of our reach for how good he is.
I have a tough decision in my home SF league. I have the 1.01, I love Drake Maye, MHJ, and Caleb. I do need a QB 2 behind Herbert on my rebuilder, I have two 1sts, 3 2nds, 1 3rd, and 2 4th. I still could go MHJ at the 1.01 if I can’t trade back, this will be a tough decision for sure.

Caleb is what happens when you know you have to press because you have the worse defense in CFB. Even though I also have Maye as my QB1 and also am concerned about the fumbles I give him slack because I don’t think there’s a defense that far behind relatively in the NFL(as in compared to their peers.) Mahomes dealt with the same thing at TTU.
USC not having a defense isn't a negative for Caleb and his passing numbers. It means he has to throw more often. Caleb has highly skilled WRs to throw to. They're loaded across the board on offense. Caleb isn't a NFL QB though. He's the product of a college system. He doesn't have the ability to sit in the pocket and go through progressions and pick a defense apart. He's also a mental midget. Soft California kid who needs a safe space while the game is going on lol. NFL teams should pass on this bust.
Lol. Williams has some of the best eyes ever. Knows where every PLAYER not just wr is at all times. Eyes all over his head. And you're saying he can't go thru progressions. Lmao.

Yeah so much of being a QB is the person, intangibles and leadership that traits you have which is very tough to evaluate for those that don’t get to speak with the players and meet with them like teams do. I agree that it is critically important but isn’t easy to quantify
Good analysis and as a Jets fan, boy do we need a QB for the future! We will end up somewhere between 8-12 in the draft. I would love to see us grab Jayden Daniels and get by with Free agents on the offensive line until next year. It is time to get a QB for the future. We need to admit that Zack Wilson is not the answer and a bust. Rogers is a legend but is 40 years old. If we could trade up to get Drake Maye that would be great too. Watching Caleb Williams, I am not sure that he is a generational talent but very good and a solid choice like Jalen Hurts.
I find it funny that the top 2 on most people's draft boards have not been performing particularly well this year. Caleb Williams has shown some Dak Prescott-like bad decision making on quite a few occasions that has directly cost the team wins. Then there's Drake Maye that has been making mistakes at the fundamental level (that should have been taken care of in High School) and it has gotten reflected on the stats sheets and team win-loss record. Personally, I think it would do Drake Maye a lot of good to hold off and take another year to develop as I feel he'll ruin his NFL career if the goes into the draft right now with the various issues he's shown across this season. As for Caleb Williams... well, I just mentioned his comparable: Dak Prescott. I feel he's got that same trajectory about him. Could he make a super bowl run? Sure, as long as he's on a team that can compensate for the occasional boneheaded decisions from their QB. Cowboys haven't been able to accomplish that with Prescott as of yet. For me, the top 4 should be 1. Daniels (the complete QB of this year) 2. Nix (the sneaky good QB of this year, like Herbert was) 3. Williams (the overall solid QB) 4. Penix Jr (the best traditional pure pocket QB) (Left out Drake Maye as I think he should go another year, but would be QB5 on my list as things currently stand.)
Give me McCarthy or Bo Nix over any of these guys . Smart reads , no mistakes and good athletes and runners . Most importantly they are both LEADERS and WINNERS !
Caleb Williams reminds of me Baker Mayfield... he does NOT have the arm strength that you guys are saying he does. He has an 8.5/10 arm strength. And maybe 8 arm talent. And worst, cant read defenses and makes bad decisions.
You gave JJ Mccarthy a 100% arm talent?? 😂😂 I havent seen him throw pass farther than 15-20 yards this season . I onow Michigan is more of a run first offense but they dont trust JJ to throw in big time moments ! I dont see JJ having a good nfl career whatsoever. Ive never once seen michigan hand the keys to JJ to help them win a game. Its always the running backs and defesne that wins it for them just look at the national championship game he didnt even have to do anything
He has tons of velocity on his throws and absolutely can throw it deep if asked to, I have tons of other concerns about his game including the fact that Michigan didn’t ask him to do much at all but his arm talent is one of the things I am confident is NFL caliber
I agree. I hope other QB needy teams buy into the Drake Maye hype, and let Jayden Daniels fall to the NE Patriots. Jayden has the same size as Maye, but he has much better mobility and an even better arm.
I understand this is your opinion. But Caleb is the clear number 1. People trying to act like he’s not a generational talent all of a sudden. Drake Maye is good but he is the number two guy and that’s where he will go number 2. Nobody tried to do this to Trevor even though he didn’t make it to a national championship his last year in college. I feel like it’s always a race thing man. Caleb is the guy so face it and he’s a generational talent.
Daniels talent and season got wasted by this LSU defence. It's criminal what that defence did this year. If they were even average, LSU would be making a lot of noise
If we had just last year's average level defense, we would be in the SEC championship this weekend and definitely in the hunt for a playoff spot. @@brandonryce6801 Yes and no. Much like arm talent, there's a level of accuracy that just can't be taught.
Look at the long standing QBs, like Kirk Cousins, Dak Prescott, and Geno Smith and the like. They've had years to be taught to improve their accuracy, but haven't done so. It doesn't matter how strong of an arm someone has if they keep throwing the ball to the opposing defense instead of their receivers.
@@xboxbam3979 well cousins doesn't have a strong arm lol. So there's that. Geno was a project QB that needed development but never truly was.
@@brandonryce6801 If you want a strong arm example, then Justin Herbert has seemingly gotten worse each and every year with his accuracy despite the booming arm.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Daniel Jones also have a strong arm? I know we never see it cause he's not accurate enough to sling it downfield without it getting intercepted, but I believe he did have that strong arm hype when he came in too if I am remembering correctly.
@@xboxbam3979 he did not lol. Just had hype as a good decision maker like Mac Jones. He was hyped because he was around the Mannings before the draft.
You nailed it I think! As a Commanders fan, I’m praying they don’t screw it up and pass on Maye. What he was able to do with very little talent around him was amazing!
Do you think teams will wait and draft Penix in the 4th rd becauseof all the question marks?
Probably not that late but I do think he slips out of round 1, probably taken somewhere in day 2
@ultimatescouting Thanks for responding. Also, I think Green Bay needs a qb, but they are sh!t out of luck this year.
I don't know Seattle likes Pennix Jr and Green Bay has Jordan Love he's good he needs a #1 wr and a young tight end but no #1
@@robertwilliams1592 Jordan Love sucks I don't know what you've been watching.
Great vid! Should do this for every position group
That’s the plan! I appreciate you watching!
How are some of these stats above 100%? Also GPAs can't be above 4.0.
Great video! Loved the different colors on the %'s, as someone who tries (and usually fails) to get into college football in preparation for the draft
Thank you I really appreciate it!!
Leonard over Ewers is absolutely crazy
Ewers is trash
I think Bo Nix might be the most underated prospect, I think he is certainly better than Drake Maye
I honestly agree with the Maye at 1 pick, I have the same top 5 with a slightly different 6-10 but havent fully evaluated those guys yet
Seeing Daniels being linked to the Vikings a lot recently. Would be a dynamic offense wow
Daniels with JJetta, Addison, and Hock would be a lot of fun!
💯💯
He is now officially….linked to my Pittsburgh Steelers…… time to pull off a heist👀💯
As a Vikings fan I would be all about that. But I think he will be one of the top 3 picks in the draft by the time all of the Pro Days and combine are over. Vikings only chance will be to trade up into the top 3.
Penix can throw the ball very accurately at long range but can he do it in the NFL, if so he will be a great pick.
I don't think Caleb has a good career if he goes to any other team other than the patriots that coaching and systems is his best bet
After watching Michael Phenix last night, I hope the Patriots take him.
While I agree with everything you said I believe Maye fits our system better. But we are splitting hairs and I would be thrilled to get either one. Now we just gotta worry about teams trading up ahead of us
Nix had 500+ rushing yards and 14 rushing TDs last year.
You think his mobility is “adequate”?
With all the Shanahan offenses currently in the NFL. Nix's skillset is a system fit Matrimony. All the dinkin dunk throws and disguising Zone reads. The Vikes need him ASAP
Did people forget how bad nix was in the sec?
@@stevenhanson3185 he won freshman of the year and was Off Script a lot in Hughes offense. Not necessarily bad but with Dan Lanning he was more on schedule with the right Personnel around him. KOC and Justin Jefferson will make a trifecta out of him
Drake maye literally underthrows every single pass
i THOUGHT HE REGRESSED THIS YR AS WELL~
Just wondering what you like of DJU and if you think he’ll be drafted. I think he’ll go to like the Seahawks or lions in the 5-6th round
Can u do interior o lineman next? I have my eye on that guard from Kansas state :)
Fun watch. Looking forward to more
I appreciate that, thanks for watching!
Agree on jj I think people might be hyping him a little too high
Yeah I just don’t see a top 10 pick right now, he’s got the talent to get there but still has a lot to prove in my mind
@@ultimatescouting yeah I think the amazing Michigan run offense is masking some of his imperfections
Highest completion % in the NCAA and runs a 4.4 . Not drafting him over Maye or Williams but he 100% will go 1st rd on potential alone
@@RedEyePergo I don’t disagree at all that he will most likely be the 3rd QB off the board. I think NFL teams will see the potential and take the swing, I just don’t see that caliber of player myself (right now)
Caleb and Drake are all hype, JJ just threw for 60 yards in a game so no.
Not sure about your analysis… Did you watch the games these QBs played or just the highlights or from other people’s analysis…?
Drake Maye is a dream… Giants please tank, tank,TANK! Great video bro
I appreciate it, thanks for watching!
You are WAY off on JJ McCarthy- he is a LOCK to go in the first round- book it Dano:)
Great video you know your stuff
Everyone thinks there an expert at least 6 out of 10 will fail so which will it be?
Giants fan here. Question: is Tee Higgins a legit number 1 option?
No
@@Lookylooky-vv2vm well damb.
#Giants4Life
This year he hasn’t been, he’s been dealing with his own injuries and obviously Burrow’s as well. I’d say he’s a top 20 receiver in the NFL when everything is going well. Would easily be the WR1 on the giants in my opinion
@@ultimatescouting 🤔 hmm
@@StevenEvens7125 If Bengals tag and trade him this off season (seemingly becoming more and more a possibility), they'd likely want either a 1st round pick or early 2nd plus a 3rd round pick for him. There will definitely be a number of WR needy teams wanting him along with the Jags that are trying their hardest to bring the Clemson offense back together. It will be interesting on who would offer what for Higgins.
Excellent job. Not sure about Maye. Everytime I watch him he’s so unsure . Great arm, should stay another year.
He should stay another year for sure but he jas talent just got number one wonder what was up with that
Not UNC fan. But seen drake maye play. Could have gone pro last year. Good kid with family ties to UNC. With Not good cast of characters hw did well. Mobile, accurate, strong, great decision maker. Forget who plays for championship and who's hot or not. This guy, I hate to admit. Because I'm not UNC fan . Drake Maye is going to become franchise quarterback.
Jayden Daniels is a future Lamar and will be a good fit for the jets
Finally someone who is putting some respect to Jayden Daniels's name. Tired of seeing him rank 7 and below in everyones top 10....
Dude is just a monster
Love the content, just wanted to suggest something real quick. I think you’re too generous with some of the stats, particularly the 100% arm talent for Quinn Ewers. I think super high ratings work best when relative to other players and I just don’t see Ewers having a Josh Allen type of arm.
thats really good analysis on Caleb.
Thank you I appreciate it!
Just found this channel, good work
Thank you for watching, I truly appreciate it!
bo nix at 5 is horribe he should be 2
I love the Seahawks and I would absolutely love for the Seahawks to get Jayden Daniels, it's litterally too perfect but it's most likely out of our reach for how good he is.
Yeah that would be an ideal landing spot for him, I would love if they could make that happen
Most definitely let's go hawks
Props for making a prediction but man some of these takes are…interesting to say the least.
Very well done in my opinion.
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Similar spot for me in my SF but have 3 1sts. Think ima take Caleb or MHJ at 1 and at 6 take Daniels or Nix or Odunze at 6 and BPA at 12
I just feel like unless u are dying at QB MHJ is a cant miss. Next jamar chase in my opinion
@@kriskomac044 I agree, I have Herbert, BY9, & Levis in my QB room. I also have the 1.04 and I could take Jayden Daniels there if I had too. I really love MHJ’s talent.
Yea I took over an orphaned team with Brady and Matty Ice who retired. So I had to trade Jefferson to get a QB and only have Doubs Oconnell, Hooker and Goff I just feel like I can still get a good starter at 1.06 and im in love with MHJ think he will be a top 5 guy for next 12+ yrs
@@kriskomac044 hopefully he comes out just read sportskeeda article about how he might comeback.
Drake Maye is tough, he can take a hit and give one and good speed, he'll be told to slide but he can run with the ball as well.
Lmao.
@@gregquinn5474 he's made a career of throwing on the run. he can't sit in the pocket and pick apart a defense. that's not what he does son. then he runs and cries in mommy's arm after a loss. curled up in his binky on his couch with his dog. don't forget to paint your nails. Caleb is a hot mess and I think he actually understands he won't be anything in the NFL.
@@broskibear9666I feel pretty much the same way about Williams. He could be great, maybe, but he’s not my guy.
@@broskibear9666 how uninformed are you thinking that Caleb Williams is from California. Mix in a clue
I think a good category to add, albeit harder to evaluate, is mental toughness.
Roger’s will come back and have a monster year or two just to prove everyone wrong. He’s that type of guy!
Jayden Daniels is QB1 in this class, and I think he might end up there come draft day.
2 Round maybe late first round pick
He’s not
Steelers will take him…..
For me, the top 4 should be
1. Daniels (the complete QB of this year)
2. Nix (the sneaky good QB of this year, like Herbert was)
3. Williams (the overall solid QB)
4. Penix Jr (the best traditional pure pocket QB)
(Left out Drake Maye as I think he should go another year, but would be QB5 on my list as things currently stand.)
Top tier comment.
Thanks. Great job.
Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed the video and your insight.
One thing I’d enjoy to see is some background music
Keep up the good work!
I appreciate that and the recommendation, thank you!!
And who are you did you play quarterback in college or NFL.
I disagree with the order but I agree with the field of QB's. Well done video.
Thank you I appreciate it!
Give me McCarthy or Bo Nix over any of these guys . Smart reads , no mistakes and good athletes and runners .
Most importantly they are both LEADERS and WINNERS !
If that's your criteria then why isn't Penix #1 on your list? He doesn't run enough?
@@coleeverman672just my preference , Penix is tough I like him too just didn’t put him down
Sam Hartman?
I like how you have them
Caleb Williams reminds of me Baker Mayfield... he does NOT have the arm strength that you guys are saying he does. He has an 8.5/10 arm strength. And maybe 8 arm talent. And worst, cant read defenses and makes bad decisions.
Bo Nix front runner for Heisman is number 5. lol Just Curious. Where did you have Justin Herbert?
He was my QB2 in that draft behind Burrow, loved him and wasn’t as high on Tua
I thought Quinn said he was staying another year
Big giants fan. We need so much I hope they can trade down for more picks and get daniels. Love the kid and hope he can put on a little more bulk
We need a line before thinking about a QB. What happened to Jones was criminal
I’m not a Giants fan but I am guessing that Oline is a bigger priority? Then draft a blue chip QB in 2025 who won’t get massacred weekly?
How is Jordan Travis not on here?
Really think that some of these Junior quarterbacks would benefit by staying in school for their senior year
When you said Caleb Williams was the best you ever seen that whole drake part became straight meat riding.
Is it Just me , or does Drakes pass often fall short(.wrs turn back to the ball a lot) I don't see the super arm.
Just subscribed. Great video
I appreciate it, thanks for watching!
My pics would be Daniels, Williams, panics, maye. Maye is over rated more like Mãc Jones for New England or Sam Howell for Washington
JJ McCarthy will go first round.
I agree, I think teams are gonna fall in love with his tools
What about Jordan Davis?
Very solid video dude 👍

Daniels talent and season got wasted by this LSU defence. It's criminal what that defence did this year. If they were even average, LSU would be making a lot of noise
You aren’t wrong, that offense is truly special
If we had just last year's average level defense, we would be in the SEC championship this weekend and definitely in the hunt for a playoff spot. It sucks how bad LSU's DB room/coaching was this year. Need a new DB coach/DC and for the love of all things football, put Harold Perkins JR where he belongs: edge rushing QBs into oblivion!
Commanders fan here I really want Daniels or Maye if we go with QB
Great breakdown! Earned a new sub
