I agree with you 100% all these walks around and mods everyone is doing just to get the thing to fly right, and the nerve of them to address the issues with V2 RTF only.
@@FlyingFun. They don't have the motivation to achieve such a thing, because they are aware that out of frustration people will just buy the v2 due to it being less of a hassle. Then you get people of influence saying " at least echine listen " but that is a disingenuous statement because. The improvement/fixes are not addressed by way of updated spare parts, and if buy chance they are, you still have to pay for them. I have had to pinions drop mid-flight on two different e160 yet i have to buy a whole new motor in order to replace it and it still may very welll carry the same issue
@@cruxio02 agreed, frustrating. I've reviewed a lot of cheap quads a year or so ago and it was a recurring theme. I stopped doing the reviews party out of frustration and party because I was not generating much sales to drive the channel because being honest doesn't sell junk lol. Sadly I've seen others go the same way.
@@cruxio02 good point, I did like fpv quads but building them from scratch was more fun. I'm into ebikes now ( DIY ) and will do a video on that sometime, but dont think I can make any money from it, just for fun and to help others is ok though.
Hey Nigel. Just bought myself an e160. Took it out to spin up - too windy to actually fly. It lifted off the ground a few inches - perhaps a foot - and somehow (!) it crashed tipping on its side and breaking the landing skids. On closer inspection also the nylon lever that connects the LHS servo had also broken. I have replaced this with another of similar dimensions from a e129 (!). The E160 is now totally unstable tipping to the left. Any suggestions on how to properly replace that little nylon component or callibrate the e160 with the one I've use3d from the e129?
It's a servo arm, I linked to spares for this in the description. I broke mine too in a crash, has to match exactly as i dont think individual channels can be adjusted for each servo. That's the downside of getting a pre built one vs building i guess
@@FlyingFun. Wow. That was a fast reply! Thankyou. I may even get some sleep tonight believing the correct servo-arm will fix the heli's problems (though not my piloting skills - or lack thereof!)
@@FlyingFun. Hi Nigel. Again thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Above and beyond! The sequel: After sleeping on the problem, this morning I realised that in my stressed out haste, I had positioned the E129 servo arm to the upper extreme of the servo movement so when the servo "thought" it was level, the swash plate was about 30 deg from horizontal. Whoops. Little surprise the heli kept tipping. I repositioned the servo arm (servo in "neutral" as per TX) with the swash plate level and - it flies (yay). (The landing skid repaired with araldite and plastic splints over the breaks - seems to work - replacement landing skid and servo arms on order!).
Balance blades as best you can to eliminate vibrations and it will be flyable.. It is possible to change bearings but banggood dont supply them so getting them is a problem. Newer versions of v1 has better bearings now.
Not on this one, it's not adjustable, only thing you can change is throttle and pitch curve and throws. This has a bad vibration issue, it is well documented in the rcgroups forums along with tail twitch. Later versions use better bearings to help. I know a heli is not quite the same as 3d quad though and didn't expect it to be easy, I fly 3d acro very well now though should be able to at least get this upside down even for a brief time but it just completely went to peices and all control lost when attempted it.
@@FlyingFun. Hi I have this hell and it is adjustable. The 3D6G switch is actually the Gyro. Default on or off 3G/6G at preset gyro values. Varying values on this channel will adjust Gyro sensitivity. You cant fly 3D in 6G gyro settings on this model. You can on others like Walkera V450 D02.
@@brianroberts5062 I am sure I tried varying the levels and it didn't do anything apart from change 3g to 6g!?! Will try again thanks. Yeah I dont fly 6g ever, 3g 3d all the way.

How do you tell the difference between version 1 and version 2?
Version 2 is green iirc, also it says version 2.
