Hello. Great video, much thanks. I see other DIY videos where they finished off by bleeding the system via the OBD using ISTA+. They say not to try to prime the system via the ignition. Might I please ask whether they are correct?
You can prime it via insta because people are afraid of damaging the pump by running it dry. The lubrication is done via the fuel and it will run dry for a little bit. Tbh, I never primed it out of sheer lazyness to hook up Ista just to run the operation
*Hello, a car has broken down BMW X3 XDRIVE20D 2.0-163 D 2012 And I found iron filings in the diesel system! Do you know where the problem is? Thank you*
I had metal particles in the fuel 160,000km. very common . it is recommended to change the diesel pump on all these 2L 163-197 hp engines. I had to change everything from the tank to the exhaust. I had to change: diesel pump, hoses and filter, EGR, turbo, nozzles and particle filter
Hello cdrseabee, When it is mounted, you will need to start your car a few times, where it will take a long time to start. Let the ignition turn on until it starts properly. We recommend to connect a charger to the car for this process. Sincerely, Anders Marketing | Schmiedmann
I have the same car, I did everything as shown in this video and it was enough to turn the panel on and off 3 times and then start, it turned the engine about 3 seconds and it started, I'm happy with this very explanatory video, unique on UA-cam for the BMW f25, rather I would like to find a video on how to change the oil to the torque distribution Atc450 with 75W oil, because 'front has a bracket, which prevents access and remove it seems a bit' complicated , you can help both me and other Bmw F25 owners, if you show how to do it. Thank you and greetings
Hello @@federicopuca1966, Thank you very much for your feedback, and also thank you for your suggestion to make a video on how to change the oil to the torque distribution - we will take it into consideration and if we get the chance to make the video, we will. @@SchmiedmannBMWspecialist how many times did it take to turn over the car (start attempts) before the car would start? I just replaced a fuel injector on f25 and car will not start.
Same problem I have a 2013 x3 2.8i the thing is a piece of shit did an entire engine swap and the apparently the whole fuel assembly needs to be changed in this model there isn’t a solo fuel filter that’s accessible to change.
Love the video one of the only people making videos for the f25 community keep up the vids 👍🏽
After this you have to folow bleed procedure in ISTA BMW
IF you have

Do you have to bleed the system with the tester after changing the filter or is it enough to just start the vehicle?
Is necessary to lock the fuel circuit, not to loose fuel during the replacement?
Yes you want to minimize air in the system
@@bmdubclub9933 Hello, How can we lock the fuel circuit ? Many thanks !
Wow, very good explaining video. Danke!
Is there any other filter at the engine?
Thank you very much
Hi for what year X3 is this filter ? If i try to buy it it says doesn’t fit my car 2005 X3 3.0i it showing some kind of plastic assembly with hose ..
Hi!
Is it the same for petrol and diesel engine? Thanks

Sounds like high pressure pump failure

Нужно ли прокачивать програмно?
Does it need priming?

So once new one is installed , you then just keep cranking it over until it starts?

Caution to anyone with F25 28i N20 engine, the fule filter is not the same and it is also not located where this says. But I'm still looking for it...
I still do know where it's located
