Feeling disheartened. I am leaving this comment here so that after some hours, days, weeks, months or years when someone likes or comment on it, I will be reminded that I didn’t give up
Also remember that chances are that the biggest fan of the content that you share will most likely not be anyone you know. Family may want to support but those that have a personal interest in the content develop a relationship with the content. Just keep sharing.
Advice for anyone thinking of starting: Don’t focus on getting results fast. Just focus on becoming good and producing enough volume to start getting good. It’s taken me 4+ years just to start getting good bc I was so inconsistent. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Just find something that works and recreate your own version of it. Learn storytelling. And then remember this is a creative outlet. Just think long term and let it be part of who you are, and let things happen naturally. Content creation will change how you see the world. You got this.
I started in 2014 at 53 and today have 297k subs and will soon retire with a nice supplemental retirement income from UA-cam. Best part is 10yrs in, I still enjoy making/editing my videos. And I do it all on an iPad. So anybody can do it and I’ve made some great friends from all over the world that I often see online and in person at conferences.
@@9amStudiothey must have been paid for it, always the same when then they all come out at the same time with the same title like every Insta camera ‘release hey its payday for the content creators…why this is the on;y or you must do this now blah blah _even BlackMagic Design did it ‘’why I’m switching to Resolve and why you should to’’ well it won’t be because every UA-camr got paid to say it. how stupid do they think we are ? I am a 45 stay at home parent that homeschool's my daughter. I'm also a caregiver to my sister, she lives with us. My husband is disabled and I'm really trying to build my brand on social media. I have a small crochet business and my main focus is taking care of my family while gardening and learning about herbalism. I'm still trying to combine the gardening and crocheting together
Hi Kevin, thank you so much for your UA-cam videos. My name is Jason Jackson and I just turned 50 and thinking about starting a UA-cam channel and watching your content inspires me to start, thank you so much for being who you are and for that I thank you 🙏🏼
I am 66. I want to make a channel about guiding parents to the best books to help them teach their children to read. My life experience combines years of teaching reading, working in a children's bookstore and working in an award winning library. I am eager to share what I know.😊
You're right. I make super unprofessional craft videos, but I share my skills and ideas and it gets me to do what I love. Not making a living, but having a life.
I am being very very called to start a UA-cam channel and I have been for years. Great FEAR is holding me back though! Fear of being seen, saying the wrong thing, failing, looking silly, getting attacked, and THE TECH STUFF. I get SO frustrated with tech and then my creativity is gone. I have tried a few times but tech doesn't seem to be my friend. I know in my gut, this will change my life in so many ways. I wish I had more support.
There's a whole community here that supports others. And there's someone out there that needs you however you happen to create. Mistakes will always happen. Don't let any of that define you. Just create.
I’m 56! I have as much equipment as I need to get going. But (and here’s the but) I’m struggling to get going. Will it be good enough? Will I be good enough? do I actually do anything interesting? Yes I do, I moved 100 miles away from my family to start a new life by the sea. See, I do have enough content to get going. The tech side frightens me tho. Editing is not my friend.
59 and I've had my channel just over 3 years. I thought about it for 2 years before I actually got up the nerve to do it. I love the creativity of it, the community, and learning all the things. If I were just doing it for the money, I'd have quit long ago. I'm now at a place where I can give more consistent attention to my channel and I'm working hard to get my last 400 watch time hours so I can get monetized. I am already making a little with affiliate links.
Im 44 years old and started my youtube channel about Traveling and Abandoned places 8 months ago. Went from 0 subscribers to 509 subscribers in that time.. i want to film more places for everyone to enjoy and hopefully do this full time.
I’m 62. I’m a singer-songwriter. I’ve had a channel for years but I’ve mostly used my channel to showcase shelter dogs.via want to start sharing more music but i’m completely unknown and only have 100 subscribers and I don’t even know if those subscribers are even legit. There are so many singer-songwriters out there I feel like I will just be a drop on the ocean. I don’t really have any knowledge about anything that I can share. Just my music and my rescue dogs. I’m such an introvert I need a little encouragement.
Sounds like to me you DO have knowledge and passion and skills for music and shelter dogs. Can you do both on the same channel? Might be a stretch but depends on how you showcase it. Don't sell yourself short. Take a shot and put it out there. Oh by the way, I'm a hybrid introvert/extrovert...if there is such a thing. 😃
You should definitely do it! ❤ I’m 50 years old, and in the very early stages of creating a singer/songwriter community. The focus will be on older beginners, and/or anyone who feels they’re “not good enough” (as I’ve felt my whole life…) or just way too shy to put themselves out there. I really want to build a welcoming community! 🥰 ☠️ 🏴☠️
Left my fulltime job in 2019 as a national broadcaster / radio DJ in Singapore. It has been 5 amazing years being a fulltime UA-camr. No regrets really.
I’m 55 and have had a channel since 2006. These past few years (since 2020) I’ve made videos of me making guitars in my basement workshop but I’m just getting started and make mistakes along the way. I don’t view them as failures but as opportunities to learn and improve.
I'm 67 now. I started my UA-cam channel in 2020 I just now got 118 subscribers. I didn't think I would get this far but now it seems to be growing fast. I appreciate your experience and input. It helps. We are never too old to learn. Thanks
Kevin you look DAMN good for 63! I recently blew the dust off my UA-cam channel after taking a hiatus for about 2 years after having my first child and having a career setback. I'm creeping up on 40 but really been enjoying creating content again, my hobbies and helping people. I feel like I'm just warming up and I appreciate your encouragement, it’s just what I need 💪🏾
Just turned 52 and finally started UA-cam last month to document our family’s Stroke Recovery Journey. Thank you for the tactical tips and encouragement for this generation.
Great advice. Even if it's just a hobby, START a channel. I was in the same boat. I wanted to retire early, had a 5 year plan and then my position was eliminated. Lemonade from lemons, I retired early and moved to paradise in Thailand and my channel took off after just a month living here. Now it's brining a steady income, I'm making tons of new friends, and it keeps me busy shooting video of things I enjoy doing and sharing with others.
The company for whom I edit podcasts no longer accepts clients who won't do video, mostly because by not doing so they're not fully engaged with... UA-cam. Won't work with UA-cam = Won't work. Thanks always for your dedication!
What a breath of fresh air you are! I started a channel years ago not knowing what i was doing. I have a Facebook group of 7000 members for a decluttering, home keeping and self care group. Im on disability and am allyto work so many hours. Im 65 and I need to work towards income when I can no longer work at ajob. Im also a 4 time self published author and love to write. Im so happy i came across your video! Because you know what? We have wisdom we can share with the world and I think that is neat! Thank you for the confidence for me to try again!
Thanks Kevin , I’m 55 , 12 years of retirement . No kids , not married , self employed massage therapist for 31 years but decided to take chance and test early retirement even though I don’t have thousands of pounds. So Thailand here I come for 6 months and thought why not start a you tube channel to see if a new life , a better life can be achieved by filming it on you tube so people at my age thinking about it can also make that move . It may or may not be the right move but to document my time will tell the story to others . Thanks for your inspiring video to go for it
@@memyselfinasia I agree! Very cool, quite an original perspective. I loved Thailand and spent time there when I was young. Learning about how it could work for me now - many decades later - would definitely pique my interest.
Great video! I started my UA-cam channel at age 60. I wanted to prove that an old dog could learn a new trick. In under two years, I have 12k subscribers and wonderful community of supporters. It’s been gratifying and at times quite humbling.
If you could do a series of super-duper beginners “how to start” like, what software to buy, how to hook up equipment to each other, how to stay safe online and not over-expose yourself to scam artists. I’m concerned about safety when my face is all over the internet. Eg: good tip to not give out the gmail account associated with UA-cam. Idk that!
47 years going here 🤩. Appreciate the encouragement and the message about balancing your family obligations especially having a child with special needs. 👌🏼 Thanks Kevin.
Thank you so much. This is timely and encouraging. I am 73 years old and wanted to do this for years but fear stopped me. Now at this beautiful age I care about me and the message planted in me. Thanks again❤
I'm 66 and still work at my Day Job, so I can't upload as often as I want to, but I've had opportunities to appear on TV as a result of having the channel, as well as lots of interesting collabs and sponsorships. I started my channel after my wife died, we'd been married 37 years. I've made some amazing contacts as a direct result of having the channel. Only 52k subs so far but watching you reminds me to Just Get It Done, working on my next vid today!
Hey Kevin, I started my channel in March 2024 at age 69. I love it. It's a legacy for my children. I don't have a niche; I post when I want to, I'm no beauty, but I get in front of the camera for every video, and my lighting is not good. I use my laptop to make my videos. I'm not pressured to be what someone wants me to be; I'm just me. You folks out there who want a UA-cam channel...jump in; the waters are just fine!
What’s holding me back is every time I click on an “anyone can do UA-cam” video, I see someone who is obviously gifted and experienced with editing, producing, etc. lol! You have a great presence and such an amazing voice. I’m afraid I would sound like the one person they always interview after the tornado takes the above ground swimming pool!😂 Thanks for the encouragement! ❤
Or maybe you wouldn't. Its way to easy to compare ourselves to others, especially if its something we want to do. Everyone starts someone. You were created with a purpose. If you want to do video on UA-cam, just do it.
1. EVERYONE hates hearing their own voice on a recording at first! That's because we've been listening to ourselves with the ears that are, well, attached to our heads! - Our voice comes from the inside. - Everyone else's voice comes to our ears from the "outside". That's why our own voice seems flat, strange, foreign and often higher then we're used to when we hear a recording of it. --> You'll get used to hearing yourself in your videos and soon become comfortable with it. 2. Resist comparing yourself to others. You are unique. 😊 Everyone is. Their circumstances and starting point are different. You start from yours and - just be you! OK. Now go and shoot your first video.
Hi Kevin 👋🏻 I'm Lia from Australia 🇦🇺 and I wanted to say this was refreshing to watch and listen to. As a 52-year-old Retired Veteran, it's humbling to find a fellow mature UA-camr to learn from as I begin my creative journey and tell my story of Lia 3.0 (third times a charm they say). I look forward to watching more of your videos and learning from someone I resonate with. And agree, there's a gap when it comes to mature Vloggers + UA-camrs so here's to shortening that gap. 👩🏻🦱
I was an early adopter on UA-cam, starting my channel in 2006. Been doing it as a hobby since then. So nearly 20 years. I am an internet nobody, but I have gotten to do things I never thought I would ever do or meet people I would never have met.
Great video. I'm definitely one of those people who keep saying "I want to start a channel" but never do. I keep making excuses like 'my house isn't nice enough', or 'I don't have enough money'. And I know these are just my own personal insecurities and not actual hindrances. The only thing that's really stopping me is ME.
I'm 50'ish. I've been thinking about starting a channel since 2019. I am an expert at photography, video production (everything from concept to delivery), building gaming PCs and computer networks. I a have advanced skills in software development, woodworking and auto-mechanics. I am very good at cooking, home improvement and drawing. My primary reason to even start a channel would be for income. I just have no idea what my channel would be about.
Thank you for sharing this. I just started my own channel two months ago. I am 34 years old. I am actually very surprised about the progress I have made already. I have 700+ subscribers and 4000+ watch time hours. I hope that my channel gets monetised within the next month or so. Everything is possible if you just believe in yourself!
60+ here. I enjoy making content. I don’t ask for likes or subscribers. I just do it as a hobby and a nice historical record for my kids and grandkids. It other folks like my videos; that’s great too
I'm 47, started uploading videos of my hounds last December. I'm retired U.S. Army and work now as IT network engineer. I have been in and out of a depressed state since I retired, my three dogs always make me happy no matter what, so one day I decided to upload a few videos of them being silly with the hope that maybe someone would see them and it would brighten their day just a little bit. Next thing I know I started getting subscribers and building a community. Now I look forward every day to the comments I get on the videos and it has definitely brought alot of joy back into my life. Anyone out there reading this that might be in a similar situation that I was in should definitely try creating a channel, it helped me greatly!
Kevin, I'm a 39-year-old advertiser, on the verge of turning 40. Throughout my career, I’ve been on a constant creative journey, always looking for ways to tell stories that connect with people and offer a fresh, challenging perspective. Over the years, I’ve worked in massive agencies and led creative marketing strategies within big corporations. Today, my role as a creative director is as varied as it is challenging, and that relentless pursuit of new challenges, consulting, and pure creativity is what drives me every day. Watching your video came at a critical moment in my life, and, as they say, it caught me by surprise. As you put it, it's not just about "inspiring," but sometimes it’s essential to find that unique vision and perspective that only someone with a professional journey like yours can offer. Thank you for that, and you’ve got a new subscriber here. Greetings from Chile, in the far-off south of the world!
I just turned 46 I'm tired of the 9 to 5, and I'm tired of my fate being in someone else hands. But the reason why I have been hesitant to start a UA-cam channel is because I don't know how to navigate social media. And my self-confidence is not very good right now. Basically, I don't know what the hell I'm doing.
Hi Kevin, I’m 56. I’ve been planning to do Utube for a few years. Written scripts. Researched topics. My voice and my face holds me back. I’m not totally hideous just self conscious and not photogenic. Also not totally sure my niche is profitable. I’m a massage therapist and want to teach new MTs the ropes for being mindful and developing specialized modalities that put them way above the churn and burn franchise style clinics. 😅🤷♀️
I’m 48, I started a UA-cam channel many years ago, and I’m just been working on it more recently but I’m not consistent. That’s changing here soon! Thanks for representing those of us over 40…
Hi Kevin, we have a very similar career path. I have always worked as an editor and director in television and advertising. I'm 66 years old and I started a channel three months ago in which I talk about my lifestyle here in the countryside in northern Italy. The thing that surprised me in some way is that my audience is made up of people aged 25 to 64 and that the 25 to 34 range is significantly higher. I find it very interesting. Another thing I really appreciate is that the comments come from many countries with very different cultures.
I’m 64. I started my channel a few years ago. It’s more of a hobby for myself than anything. I am not trying to turn this into something commercial. Basically I wanted to expand my love of motorcycling with action camera video recording and editing. It is time consuming but fun. I even have a few subscribers of which I am grateful. I do need to record and produce more content but sometimes life gets in the way.
I started posting UA-cam videos in April of this year, at the age of 56. It's pretty niche stuff (I go for walks in the English countryside, film a bunch of footage and then edit down as an abridged version of the experience), but as a friend told me recently - UA-cam is full of niches. That's part of the brilliance of it - we get to see good content that would probably never be commissioned for TV. Perhaps the one thing that I've been surprised by is my reaction to getting likes, subscribes and nice comments from complete strangers. Coming from an IT background, to receive positive feedback from people about something creative that I've made is a bit of a new experience. It feels like it validates the effort I've put in.
I’m 68 and started my channel last November. My channel is aimed at seniors, but it’s a real struggle. We need to have collaborative work between seniors content creators to help our segment grow.
I checked out your channel just to confirm you were telling the truth and you were 😊 my question now is do you have your channel monetized? What is a monthly YT income on average if you do? Truly would appreciate any info ❤
Consider using your phone. I'm an iPhone guy. You could also use something like the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. If you go that route, consider the Creator Combo. It's a little more but comes with (almost) anything you'd need: amzn.to/47UjQUU I've got a few videos I did about it if that helps. Thanks for watching.
Great video, my hat's off to you! I started two channels a few years back now and couldn't agree more with your sentiments. People will tune in to your content because of what makes you unique. Content will always win over video quality, lighting, fancy gear, etc. If you are speaking from the heart or sharing art that is genuine, people with resonate with it. Greetings from Hungary!
I simply don't enjoy being a narrator in front of the camera. I travel a lot and thought about doing travel content. But I don't want to be filming everything I do, basically "working" when I travel for culture and leisure. I've also heard lots of middle aged UA-camrs who stick to a niche and make videos regularly, simply never break out. Make a couple grand and that's it. Bottom line, it's not as easy as just "making videos."
I’m now 46 and was DREAMING about making a UA-cam channel 7 years ago. Started in 2023, but a couple months ago scrapped that and started again with a new focus ❤. Thanks for the encouragement 😉🙌
I started my channel at 42. It's been slow going, with some videos doing really well. But it's another outlet for my creativity and has made my music grow
You have already pension you should enjoy of your life and travel, not working anymore. For where need anymore collect more money if you have already enough passive incoming money in every month (pension).
Thanks Kevin! I’m over 70. 75 to be precise. During COVID I started offering my services as a Santa Claus Portrayal Artist through my website. I added a UA-cam channel but have never really exploited it. You have motivated me to start being more aggressive about this social media platform. I’m passionate about the personal and global benefits of Kindness. I’m going to use UA-cam as my pulpit. ❤🎅🏻
I love UA-cam, I have a cooking channel, it's what I love to do, and I love to make friends and talk endlessly, so it's a natural fit for me. I had no experience at all. It's funny I ran out of a school class for fear of public speaking, now because of UA-cam I am not afraid. I started during covid. I'm at it 4 yrs, and I'm 62 so for me, it's the best hobby I could add to my list. I love doing anything creative so this for me is about fun, I don't think I'll ever get money out of it, but who knows I'm creative so we will see how that end of it goes. I and hubby are retired, and he helps me so much he is a retired IT manager and programmer, so It's amazing to share it together. Right now he's recovering from surgery, but will be back soon. I must say it's not easy to get monetized, I have been at it hard and still trying to reach that 1000 subscribers. I think it's harder for a cooking channel because there are so many.
Your friend was right I’m 35 and I clicked on this video. Simply because I was taught the old-school way of doing things. Get a good job stay loyal they’ll treat you right. Times have changed. I need to change with the times.
Same here. I decided to have a try my channel again 2021. I decided to flip my thinking narrative in 2021 after burning out in 2014 on my Y/T. Went from 54 to 1300+ subs current. I also joined a group interested in the same gaming also assisted in the channel growing. It's fun having a Ytube channel and grow your community at your pace. This was the philosophy I used for me. I'm older but have fun gaming still even if my reflexes aren't as great as 20 years ago, make a channel about casual gaming and I don't have to be perfect. People will like it or hate it. Get to use my second interest computer tech when editing. I can only basic editing at best even.
Thanks for this. 51 Years old here and I was also a "Creative Services Director" but in radio... and was decades ago now. Always think about doing something here on YT... not even for the money but just for a challenge. Someday maybe an idea and inspiration will overcome the apprehension.
At 64 I too am just starting a UA-cam channel. And trust me it seems harder than I thought to teach an old dog new tricks. But I am going to stick with it for good or bad. Worst case scenario my grandchildren I have something to laugh at when I’m dead lol
Kevin , thanks for the video. I am now 66 and I started a while ago a flight reviews channel now as me and my wife are retired. Not to make a living of it , just the fun of it and to learn something new. Its learning by doing. Our goal is to reach 1000 subs and to get monetized, it works slowly now at 845 subs but hopefully this year we will reach our goal!
i was holding back thinking it had to be perfect. thousands of pages of notes and research. this video encouraged me to embrace imperfection and gradual improvement and explore as i go. 😊 thanks again. i needed to hear this encouragement. ❤
34 years old and I'm finally encouraged/motivated to get on the UA-cam channel. I have been talking and thinking about it for years but dont know what to do it about. But i guess I'll just record videos wheh inspired to do so and post them. Then hone in on what i enjoy. I always tried to plan it all out beforehand. No more excuses-not even being a busy mom. THANK YOU!!!
I had the same feelings as you in the beginning, I would post a video then I would delete it because I didn’t think it came out right I did this like four or five times before I finally was like screw it and decidedto keep a video up my first video that I decided to keep up his on animal crossing for the Nintendo switch so I just made my channel about gaming. I originally I originally I wanted my channel to be about anything I want to talk about, but then I realized that when I talked about certain things people just didn’t care. I guess what I’m trying to say is don’t focus too much on the small stuff. Just do what you enjoy and the views and subscribers will come, and it is important to know there is no exact formula for the UA-cam algorithm some videos you make that you think are good will get very few views while others you make that you think suck will be the ones that get hundreds of 1000s of views sorry if this is long winded, I just figured it may help.
Stuck at 47 for a longtime😢 ,i keep posting but nothing happening . Feeling really disheartened 😢 but I am gonna leave this here so that if anyone comments i am reminded that i never gave up
Love this Kevin. In my 40s. Had my channel for a few years, coming back after 6 months off. Burn out is real, so doing what you want to do is the key rather than chasing the metrics.
I started my channel at 49, currently 53. I initially started it to 'learn' how to make video, more and more focus was on video in the world, and I wanted to learn...then I fell down the rabbit hole and loved it. Currently, I'm not yet monetized, I have passed the 1K sub threshold (1140), but the 4K watch hours is giving me a bit of grief at the moment...not giving up, but that one is a tough one. Only 9% of all active UA-cam channels ever pass the 1K sub threshold and I'm very happy I've done that...onward and upward!
UA-cam has put these ridcuolous barriers to discourage new creators. It doesn't want them. It wants to be a platform for snippets of shows from corporate media. Just like ebay drove off the bulk of regular people selling with exborbenant seller fees for individuals while giving large retailers who use the platform massive discounts. Every opportunity for the regular person is being shut down by greedy biug tech.
I started my YT channel at 59 or 60. I'm 70 now. I think it's easier for an over 60 guy to do a channel and not get slammed for looks. God, people are so catty about womens' looks. No matter how fabulous your content is. I like that you shoot and edit your own videos. I htink where I struggle is my channel has no focus. I'm a professional musician who plays the uke and sings older songs (20s - 70s). I do a few tutorials. Once in a blue moon, I'll talk about a specific ukulele. Once in a blue moon, I'll talk about equipment but I am no expert. I started my channel, really started it when I was diagnosed with cancer. I've had this long career and I didn't want to get "lost." Lost in memory, like I never existed. Then it's that I wanted to share "great American songbook" and beyond because so much of music nowadays (IMO) is crap. OK, so this is rambling but your video touched a chord, so to speak. Thank you. Subscribing.
Thanks so much for sharing your story. Cancer-survivor, music person, teacher, etc. You've done a lot and it's cool you want to share it, like creating an archive that will last forever. Really appreciate you watching and being here.
Just found this for the first time. Positive & pragmatic stuff. Encouraging me to get started at 74. As a former creative pro with decades of rich world wide experiences & amazing stories I've become so discouraged by my age & poverty that I've basically given up on ever sharing my voice or caring. Your downhome attitude has make me rethink what's possible. Thanks! Subscribed!
48yo and just uploaded my 2nd video, written, filmed and edited by myself. Writing and filming I like but editing, this is my new passion!!! I heard "do 1 thing better each video" and I think I achieved that. Cliche alert...most of all I had fun. 😂 I love info dumping on people but now I've found a creative outlet. Thank you sir, I needed to see this video❤
I’ve started several channels but ended up getting stalked each time, and doxxed & targeted, family destroyed etc. it’s not without huge risks even if u don’t show ur face or location, there are crazy people out there and they, some of them obsessive, they download and save all of your videos to build up a picture and put things together about you so that even after u delete ur channel the danger is real.
@@IanRyanKirk They still figure it out with faceless channels - they piece together info about you from all your videos & Q&A & lives, stalk the places you go to try to find you, locate you during livestreams in public, and save every video & every piece of info until they piece together who you are by doing research online & offline. And that’s with a relatively small channel of under 10k subscribers. If someone is determined enough they will. It’s also very VERY hard & rare to get popular with a faceless channel meaning little income, but only takes a few subscribers for it to happen.
Hi Kevin, At 50, I've just started my own channel. Currently, I have 16 videos in 2 months. I love the editing and with every video it's becoming more polished. Subscriber count is slow, but getting there. I'm pleased I've found your channel. Has given me a confidence boost. Thank you.

Learn storytelling. And then remember this is a creative outlet. Just think long term and let it be part of who you are, and let things happen naturally.
Content creation will change how you see the world. You got this.

Good for you!
Started my channel 6 years ago at age 71. Have never had so much fun. I don't have a niche, just shoot what I want. My wife helps. We love it. Cheers
Sweet!
I started in 2014 at 53 and today have 297k subs and will soon retire with a nice supplemental retirement income from UA-cam. Best part is 10yrs in, I still enjoy making/editing my videos. And I do it all on an iPad.

I have had a UA-cam for 10 years, but only recently started uploading videos. I only have a couple subscribers, but I feel so happy now!
Yeah me too, all that stuff. I'll subscribe to your channel. I hope I can be brave enough at 57. God bless you.
My prediction - that "good enough" voice will stay there until you say "shut up!" and just create. Be good enough for you!
I hear you guys, in the same boat! I just turned 60 and unemployed at the moment🥴
Im 46 started my motorcycle travel channel and clocked 300 Subscribers yesterday and 211 watch hours, the road ahead is long but i wont give up.
Nice!
Good for you! Glad you shook off the nerves and jumped in! Thanks for sharing. Thank you for watching too!

Very cool! Great advice too!
If you want to do video on UA-cam, just do it.
ai has come a long way with voices. Most people would never know it is ai and it gets better every day.

Kevin,
I'm a 39-year-old advertiser, on the verge of turning 40.

@@KevinKolbe Kevin...I was just thinking about that today...!!!
That's one of the things I love about UA-cam, the diversity from all over the world!
Good for you for starting. And yeah, life happens. Create when you can and have fun!
Very cool. Sounds like a neat idea too!
I’m 68 and started my channel last November. My channel is aimed at seniors, but it’s a real struggle. We need to have collaborative work between seniors content creators to help our segment grow.

Well said! Totally agree! Hey from the US!

There are so many [name a niche] channels period. There's also room for one more, or actually a lot more.

Very encouraging. I’m 62 and just getting into it.

That's fantastic! Sounds fun too. Thanks for sharing.
i was holding back thinking it had to be perfect. thousands of pages of notes and research.
this video encouraged me to embrace imperfection and gradual improvement and explore as i go.
😊 thanks again. i needed to hear this encouragement. ❤
Yeah, that "being perfect" thing is such a creative killer. Just create!
I'm thinking about it. I just turned 70. I always enjoyed shooting video and editing.
you pushed me from the top, I am only 63. Go for it!
Let's go!
Oh my goodness, this is the most authentic and most helpful video I’ve watched all year.
Wow! That means a lot. Appreciate you sharing and watching too!
Stuck at 47 for a longtime😢 ,i keep posting but nothing happening . Feeling really disheartened 😢 but I am gonna leave this here so that if anyone comments i am reminded that i never gave up
Growing on UA-cam is filled with ups and downs, just like life. All depends on why you want to do it.
Love this Kevin. In my 40s. Had my channel for a few years, coming back after 6 months off. Burn out is real, so doing what you want to do is the key rather than chasing the metrics.
Agree!
Sounds like you're growing the right way! Thanks for sharing.
@@KevinKolbe thank you for all your hard. I KNOW how hard it is.
Thanks! Subscribed!
Thanks so much for sharing that.
Thanks for sharing that. As far as editing, still my favorite part of the whole process.
Would love a tutorial on editing. That is the learning curve I need to get through. Thanks for all the info. Appreciate it.
Noted! Thanks for the idea.
Scary! Sorry this happened
@@IanRyanKirk it was a faceless channel
Hi Kevin,
At 50, I've just started my own channel. Currently, I have 16 videos in 2 months. I love the editing and with every video it's becoming more polished. Subscriber count is slow, but getting there. I'm pleased I've found your channel. Has given me a confidence boost. Thank you.
Way to go! Congrats on creating!
I’m 71 and have a coaching channel. People over 50 are looking to start businesses. And a channel is a good one too. Subscribed!
Haha! Started mine at 40 last year. Tons to learn. Life balance…. I get around to videos, when I have the time. It’s a hobby and fun time for me. 🤙🏼
👍 thanks Kevin glad to hear your point of views. You can be proud to share your earnings from your efforts. My recent channel keeps growing with 60 videos so far, 32 subscribers and growing. Hope to see your next video.
Appreciate it. Keep creating!
@@KevinKolbe thanks for the inspiration !
God bless
