Mark, it appears you're not using the correct lift points. I'm not sure if you heard the story, but a C8 fell off a lift at a dealership from using incorrect lift points. See this article for more details and photo about correct locations: www.corvetteblogger.com/2020/03/15/video-2020-c8-corvette-lift-and-jacking-locations/. You might also find the 5000SLX is too short to reach those points without extensions, but the 5000EXT would work. Best of luck.

What he said. You're not lifting at the proper jacking point.

Aloha, Since you don't seem to understand anything about Automotive lifts, let me try to educate you. I have been working on cars and trucks for the last 45 years and on every conceivable vehicle lift, that has ever been made. There are many different vehicle lifts and they all work in a slightly different manner, the 2, 2020 Corvettes that fell off lifts, fell off 4 Post Full Height Lifts that have 4, 4 foot long arms that swing out to reach the factory lift points. In both cases of the Corvettes fell off Full Height Lifts, the arms were not set properly. Here is a link to all Certified Automotive Lift Manufacturers. In my case, For My 2020 Corvette, I am using a low height, scissor lift that has no moveable arms. It is a QuickJack 5000SLX, So as long as I am lifting on the Frame it works just fine. Aloha, Mark

@@markz51crooks57 Aloha, I was trying to be politely helpful, but your response has changed my tune. Since you don't seem to understand anything about Owner's manuals, let me try to educate you. When the Owner's manual says in order to safely lift the vehicle use these specific lifting points, then those are the lifting points you are supposed to use. Next time you feel the need to educate someone, you go right ahead and educate Chevrolet. I look forward to the day you post their reply stating that lifting anywhere along the frame is considered fine. Mahalo.

@@JIMpossible Aloha, I was trying to point out the 4 post Full Height Lifts should use the Chevrolet guidelines, but all lifts are not the same, and therefore, can not be applied to all lifts. Do you remember going to a gas station or a tire store and they had those lifts that you drove your car over and they lifted on the rocker panels, so they could remove the wheels? That is what a low height scissor lift is like. Aloha, Mark

@@markz51crooks57 Those old gas station lifts didn't lift on the cars rocker panels! You really do need to get educated! 🤣

You obviously don't know the correct lifting points. Check your owner's manual before your car falls off your Quick Jack.

Aloha, Thank you for your input, as they used to say there is more than 1 way to skin a cat. I have been working on Cars and Trucks for the last 45 years on every conceivable vehicle lift. The next time I put my car on the QuickJack 5000SLX, I am going to make sure the Front Puck is as far as it can go and put it in the factory cutout. Then put the Rear puck all the way back on the frame, Once it is up in the air, I am going to support the engine with my portable Jack and remove the front wheels to see if that throws off the balance, If not, I will try rocking the car to see if it moves. If nothing appears to be wrong, I will slowly lower my portable Jack and see if it moves, If not, I see no need for the extensions. Aloha, Mark
