    Just set up my Quickjack 7000 today. It came with a thread sealant liquid instead of tape, and worked perfectly. Don't over tighten any of those fittings. They just need a good snug connection. Follow the manual. I have zero leaks. Very happy with the results. This will be a great tool. My Mustang is sitting on it right now, waiting for a clutch release bearing replacement. $1400 + tax, delivered to my home from Costco. Amazon was $1750.

      Yea my QuickJacks already paid for themselves when I replaced my Corvette's subframe and harmonic balancer. Worth every penny! And yes Costco is a great place to save a buck on stuff like this!

    8:55 The brackets are only designed to keep the quick jacks from falling over. The floor bears the weight.

    • @Addimotive
      @Addimotive  2 роки тому

      Correct, that’s what I ended up doing. The quick jacks still rest on the ground with the brackets just keeping them from sliding down the wall. Definitely helps to store them in a compact way.

    Nice !! I am looking at this same product now for my C5. Can you remove the torque tube and rear diff with this unit…?

    • @Addimotive
      @Addimotive  9 місяців тому +1

      I haven’t had to do a job like that yet, but based on the ground clearance you get at the higher lockout (about 2 feet) I think you should be able to get it out. I think the challenge would be working between the two lifts on either side and having to maneuver the torque tube assembly out in between them. I dropped my entire front subframe (because it was cracked) and replaced my harmonic balancer with the car on these (videos on my channel). These were a life saver and paid for themselves in one job.

      I have the SLX and then bought the EXT adapters for the times I'll need them. So far, with a garage of 8-12 vehicles at any given time I've used them.. never. Use the measurements they give you and if you find the SLX works for what you own, buy that. You can always buy the extenders later if you actually buy something that needs them.

      I had the same indecision, since I have various cars, a truck, and an SUV. I ended up going with the regular length model, and bought the frame extenders, short lift blocks, and truck/SUV extenders. This combo gives about the most flexibility this lift system can have.

      It has two height settings. This was the highest (about 2 feet of ground clearance) and the lower setting is about one foot of ground clearance.

      These are made by Bendpak who is the leader in 2 post lifts. Very very sturdy, much safer than jack stands. I do though have a set of jackstands underneath the platforms as a second safety measure.

    I bought the same set as you and was wondering while you are letting it down and you decided to stop mid way dose it continue to go down even though you let go of the down button?

    • @Addimotive
      @Addimotive  3 роки тому

      If I let off of the button they do not “immediately” begin going down. Over time they will just because of the back pressure on the hydraulic rams. If yours are going down right away, you may have air in the hydraulic lines that needs to be bled out of the system.

      I actually haven’t yet, haven’t really had a need to get the tundra up in the air yet. But i might if I pull the trigger on a new exhaust system for it.
