With my father, Land Cruiser LC 100 2007 V6, he has been with us for almost 13 years and has a pedestrian of 500,000 km. We use it hard, however I can testify that the Japanese car is unmatched in quality. My brother has a 2005 Mercedes S350, with a mileage of over 400,000 km, but to this day it still breaks down and now it is standing and needs maintenance.

I have a bias since I grew up in a VW family that owns 2 GTI's, a Scirocco, and a Cabrio. But I love German cars since they're (usually) easy to fix and their unreliability taught me how to work on cars. Plus they usually look and sound amazing

Skoda is Czech and produced in Slovakia (CityGo at least). It is owned by VW true, but VW also owns Lamborghini so following that logic Lambo also should be classified as German car.

As the owner of a Mahindra Bolero Maxx Pick Up i can confirm this is true
Japanese and German cars are basically equal if you don't take one very important factor into the account - Japanese street racing era, something like this never happened with German cars on that scale. Japanese cars just give off this great 90s vibe, they all look beatiful. As for German cars (IMO) the vibe just isnt there, Germany focuses more on making cars as tools and Japan focuses on making cars as pieces of art.

Both cars are really fast but it depends on the brand , for example: if you compare a sporty Nissan with a sporty bmw it would be very fair but, if you compare a subaru to a Mercedes it wouldn’t be fair at all since subaru is a kind of sport car while Mercedes focuses on luxury and subaru does on speed, In terms of luxury a Mercedes and a Lexus is fair because of their interiors but not engine, At the end if you want a fast car get a bmw, if you want a reliable fast car get a sporty Toyota.
