5:31 As many of you in the comments have pointed out, on 1/21/21 ( media.discordapp.net/attachments/643696707288301571/813819103822217236/EsLR-3eVcAAVjhx.png ) there was an update to add a switch feature (media.discordapp.net/attachments/643696707288301571/813819145573105664/Screenshot_4.png ) that you can use in the bottom left corner to switch between multiple stacked zones.
You can actually get to the different versions of the zones by clicking the 4 blinking cubes in the left bittom corner, there you can choose where to go.
You can actually enter zones with the gold chest/stonghold/siren without doing the fractured sea section. You just click on it, instead of clicking the enter zone option, there is 4 squares on the bottom left side of the tab. Click that and you get several options(I believe the Explorable, Secure, etc.)
With regards to Siren strongholds, you don't need to actually fight the guard fleet at the entrance to a stronghold: position a fleet on the tile just outside the doorway, put your prefered boss fleet on the guarding fleet and retreat: voila, you're inside the strong hold and can fight the boss directly.
Been doing this since december, I thought it was intuitive and turns out a lot of ppl are not doing it that's why I'm so confused as to why people need to have a mob fleet for strongholds. You only need to fight 6 boss battles :D
Siren Strongholds aren't really the hardest part of OP Siren, R6 Abyssal Zones bosses are much harder as unlike the strongholds, you can't get out of the zone to heal (This excluding the new monthly boss fight which didn't exist back when this video was published so that doesn't count).
You can actually stack more than 3 Strongholds, but only 3 can actually show up in the map at the same time. If you have, say, 4 Strongholds stacked, as soon as you defeat one of the 3 spawned strongholds, the 4th one will immediately spawn. I know this since i did exactly that in january, only really felt i was able to clear them at the end of the month, so i endep up with a situation where i could fight more than 5 strongholds in a row
The Weak Points in Abyssal Zones are not a chance, they always pop up after the boss hits ~70-75% (not sure of the exact spot). In Siren Strongholds, the Siren who attacks your bases spawns after the third capture.
A couple wrong points like the comments had pointed out. You cant be blocked by extra zone over quest zon3, just click the bottom left square n pick the wrong zone per map. Unlimited retreat in OS, stronghold only takes six fights for max drop if you retreat against ambush n mob. Same with obscure, retreat till you fight rally spawn or completely blocked off. There COULD be initial boss type siren spawned in obscured and it does provide better drop.
Thanks for your thoughts. 1 - Yes since this script was written there was an update adding that feature. I've made a pinned comment to amend this. 2 - Yes only Abyssal Zones prevent reentry after retreat. 3 - Pretty sure I mentioned not fighting the mobs and just going straight to the rally point or strongholds. But if that wasn't clear, yes only fight the bosses in those 2 zones to max drops/time.
I've always wondered what those lighthouse things were, until this video. I always scanned as soon as I entered a zone so I never knew what their use was as they never seemed to have any noticeable effect after activation. Other than that, the rest of the video was old info for me since I've been grinding OpS for a while now. Still a good guide for the inexperienced. Something I'd like to add as well is use up all the repair kits and AP crates as much as you can since you most likely won't run out of them. They get deleted on every reset so it'd be a waste to not use them
Ya I did have to spend a month grinding OS myself to learn myself before making a guide. So those super active in OS since Day 1 may not learn too much. Although I hope small tidbits like the lighthouse thing can be found even for those that are experienced.
One tip I have is that the game sometime bugs out in abyssal zones when you retreat your fleet. Tldr if a mob or trap fleet is blocking an entrance to one of the zones, sometimes when you engage them and then press retreat, the game will place your fleet into the zone instead of outside it. You can do this most of the time to avoid fighting the mob fleet all together.
META: Video YoStar in 25/2 patchnotes: Going to change the colorcodes per zone in Operation Siren 7:20 Catpaws DO appear in Obscured Zones, it's just that one RNG element (the cross pillars) spawn with 2 hidden catpaws. The enemies that spawn at the beginning of the map can be used for exp gain, but spawns from the rally points give no benefit.
So much to take in . . . . guess this is what I get for not keeping up with it. . . only have Iris, Regia Marina and USN fleets leveled so hopefuully thats enough. . . not a fan of IJN : /
If Iris includes Richelieu, RN includes VV&Aquila, and USN includes New Jersey, Essex-class, and a bunch of CAs; you'll be fine.
Big help thank you tips

You're welcome!

@@Beanvee it's not worthwhile once you max out the rigging and full LB the Meta ships right
I think it is more fun than Main Story grind, but ya TB needs to butt out a bit. She went from loved to hated real quick by the community.
