    The Inner rails are usually referred to as "Guard Rails" and are there for extra stability and safety, they help to keep the train wheels aligned and on the track!

    Santa Fe did not have any SD50s and the C44-8 you called out was a B40-8 4 axle unit.

    @GreenFrogVideo that unit is not sd50 santa fe never had any sd50 they only had sd45-2 in this video
