So Sacrificial Pact used to be able to target any demon, not just a demon you controlled, and Jaraxxus used to be a minion (demon) that had a battlecry that made it function like what hero cards do these days (before later being redone as a hero card). So there was a strange interaction where sacrificial pact would kill a player that had swapped to Jaraxxus if it targeted them. This era included the original release of Yogg Saron, so this is an accurate representation of how a game like that could go then, but not anymore.

also funnily enough sacrificial pact was considered a trash card, but a couple tournament decks played it because a lot of players brought warlock with jaraxxus and it was basically a guaranteed win against those decks, and the heal was fringely useful in a few cases.

@@satibel it was also played in Boomsday when heal Zoo warlock was all over the place and Control/Cube warlocks were also very solid in the meta. Turns out when you get into a warlock mirror matchup, killing your opponent's minion for 0 mana and restoring 5 hp is pretty good (even if it doesn't win you the game like with Jara)

barnes summons a 1/1 copy of a minion in your deck
if you silence the minion it looses the "is a 1/1" effect and comes back with its full stats, so 12/12 deathwing, divine spirit makes it have 24, then 48 life, and inner fire makes attack = hp, so it's a 48/48 which attacks for lethal. but that's actually magical pixie dream land, and what actually happened is that museum curator (a 2 mana 1/2 ) was summoned by barnes.

@9:34 I like how Malfurion's line "I must protect the wild" sounds more like it's a revelation to him. Like he didn't realize until that moment he's suppose to be PROTECTING the wild and not destroying it or whatever.

I love Wronchi's comedic and often literal interpretations of how cards work or how they're named, and how hilariously they would translate on an actual 'battlefield.'
21:51 The Boom Labs were the first animations which ere made in colaboration between Wronchi and Blizzard. They gave him the script and voicelines which were spoken by the actual voice actors of the respective card.
the glaiveshark slapping the face has long been my favorite bit from any of wronchi's stuff. I showed my sister who doesn't even play hs and she loved it and found it hilarious.

This Rogue just kills Pallsdine, who was the king of the meta with ideal Curve. Almost all Palladine curve shows in this cinematic).
I took it to mean "Of course I don't like to play with Maiev, I'm playing PALADIN! Why would I want MAIEV?"
@@WavemasterAshiIt shows the quest symbol above Maiev's head. That animation was made during Ungoro, it was 100% about The Caverns Below.
@4:26 I think the implication was that the opponent liked Khadgar and Medivh better as the alternate hero skin for the mage class over Jaina.
the minion has taunt, so it’s “taunting” jaina for not having a skin.
@@masterofpastakai5570 Maybe, but the sign the minion is holding says "Medivh / Khadgar > Jaina". Or in other words, Medivh and Khadgar are better than Jaina.
edit: I think we're both correct, but I'm unsure if Voxy doesn't understand the joke regarding the taunting mechanism or what the sign itself is saying.

6:42 Yeah, kinda. Sacrificial pact destroys a demon and heals you for 5. Since it is not specified, it can be played on an ENEMY demon, but also, since Jaraxxus is a Demon, it works on him. You just cannot imagine how many games were won that way, specially since Zephrys can discover sacrificial pact for you

hardest part for quest priest was not getting dunked by Mutanus eating your Xyrella in hand as you were very low on minions in general.
I haven't played Hearthstone in years, but these are still hilarious. That 'TO BATTLE' jam is going to be stuck in my head.

Priest vs warrior, he that minion summoned 1/1 version of deathwing.
When he silenced it, it regained original 12/12 stat.
Then he doubled hp to 12/24, then he doubled hp tp 12/48, then he made attack same as hp to 48/48.
It used to be a viable combo for priest, buff hp of minion to oblivion then either make attack same as hp with 1 mana card or in later expansion flip attack and hp with 0 mana card

4:00 "doesn't that card suck?" after it got nerfed twice,yea. it used to me a 2 mana 3/2 with the same effect. where it was insane, and an auto-include for mage unless you were not playing spells (at which point, why mage?)
52:35 : "was it hard to get at least?" no, not really. they had to play a 2,3 and 4 cost card, then a 5 and 6, then a 7 and 8, then a 5 mana 8/8 taunt to add that to their deck. so you play a curve, and you win. this bypasses immune as well. you don't have to play the curve in order, but you need to play each segment in order. oh, and it's holy, so if you play a priest minion that says "draw a holy spell" and you don't have any other holy in your deck, you just guaranteed that it's in your hand. that deck was very dominant the entire time it existed in standard. not sure if it's played in wild. biggest reason it may not be is some decks can kill before you get a shot to play it.
Totally a non-biased party here but Wronchi is amazing, and his content is always a blast. I just wish it got uploaded to his channel more often.
Shaman vs. Priest one
So Priest copied Shaman's copy of Thrall, Death-seer and played Archbishop Benedictus, which adds a copy of their entire deck to your deck.
Then Shaman made a copy of Benedictus with Moorabi (which sucks but was randomly created so whatevs) and takes their entire deck back PLUS Priest's deck.
Then Priest makes a big honkin' 30/30! POGGERS!
But Shaman (remember, who stole a copy of Priest's deck) plays Shadowreaper Anduin, who destroys all minions with 5+ attack when you switch to him.
Then Priest ALSO played Shadowreaper. Then Innkeeper woke up late for The Big Hearthstone Match and ran over to announce Morgl vs. Tyrande...and saw two Anduins flinging damage at each other.

HOLY SHIT i never saw the Anduin vs Garrosh one, that is a brilliantly done bunch of references to Super Mario World 2: Yoshis Island ^^

the problem with wronchis animations are that they were made when hearthstone was a completly different game a lot of the cards displayed in these videos were either removed or became totally irrelevant over the years. The Knife Juggler for example was a 2 mana 3/2 that deals 1 damage to a random enemy every time you play a minion and was in almost all decks back in the days. jarraxus replaced gul dan as your hero and capped your health at 15 with the hero power "spawn a 6/6 demon" sacrificial pact was a 0 mana warlock card "destroy a demon and restore 5 health to your hero" and it could be played on your opponent if he played jarraxus
btw, they also made a few Magics video! Not many, I think there's only 3 of them or something, but they are fun to watch as well! :)

Have you considered trying out Legends of Runeterra? Seems like a very competent and free2play-friendly tcg, they recently shifted their focus to mainly a 'hearthstone adventures' style of single player experience!
You should also watch the live action card reveals, they are amazing Specially the Uldum

Idk, in my opinion Lesllee made way more decent animations. Despite there were just three, they deserve attention for sure.
The downside is you kinda need to know a lot about that era of HS to understand everything. It might be used as a test of Voxy's knowledge tho 😏
