    • @csarmii
      @csarmii 5 місяців тому +1

      She was not wrong. It's a 3 mana 3/3. If you have cast shudderwock, you've won already, otherwise repeating a single battle cry isn't a big deal.

    • @Shadow-bk1im
      @Shadow-bk1im 5 місяців тому +4

      @@csarmii it is insane with skarr and skarr is a lot better legendary. In case you don't know how skarr works it deals 1 damage plus 1 to every enemy for every turn in a row you play an elemental. In Arena it is surprisingly not that hard to get it to deal 10+ damage which wipes the enemy board, puts a 7/7 on board, and deals 10 damage to your face likely putting you in lethal damage. Macaw just repeats that entire process for 3 mana and pretty much no one survives that 2 card combo making it very strong.

    • @csarmii
      @csarmii 5 місяців тому +2

      @Shadow-bk1im sure, and that would have been a better argument for it. I would still argue that a 5 mana 5/8 rush with taunt could still be more useful situationally. Its true that the 3/3 has a lot of synergy in the deck. But Rarran's specific argument about how it's so much better with Shudderwock is terrible and that was my point.

    • @Shadow-bk1im
      @Shadow-bk1im 5 місяців тому +5

      @@csarmii shudderwock in arena is actually pretty bad I have only ever seen it played once and the guy who played it had all the battlecries hit shudderwock and kill it. basically a 9 mana do nothing. The reason why shudderwock is bad is because there isn't that many good battlecries and the win condition is pretty eh.

    at 23.:39 is when Voxy puts on the table the truest words someone could say about this lack of info in hearthstone cards! the game that was from the start a digital card game and should know better than to just like "you get this card, good luck knowing what this is! I know you spend money on this game but you will have to GOOGLE this card to learn what it does! *wink face* hihi"! VOXY SAYING LIKE IT IS!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    Just FYI you CAN right click on a card and see it's associated cards. But only from in your collection. You can't while editing a deck, or while in crafting menu, or while drafting in arena, or while in a match lol . Stupid that it's so restricted But it is possible.

    I love raran but he is the worst coach I’ve ever seen.
    He spent the entire turn going “omg, omg, you’re cooked omg” instead of going, you’re probably in trouble, but here’s the two lines of play “Sand element, dunk tank trade everything optimally” or “you might want to dunk tank face and pray for more direct damage or a board wipe”
    Like my fucking dude. Your job is to coach her.

    Rarran is terrible at arena, so this should be interesting.

  • @YMasterS
    @YMasterS 5 місяців тому +2

    Ok, I'm seeing what the problem was, now. Rarran is using played winrates to decide if a card is better than another card, but he's not doing the analysis work, he's just treating the raw data as a conclusion.
    Wish upon a Star's played winrate is going to be higher than the card's quality because you're not going to play it unless you have either a decent board or crazy good control options.
    Party animal is kinda the opposite effect, in that it's a commonly drafted 2 drop, meaning that if it didn't get played on two, it's more likely you missed your curve. Meaning if it comes down on two, you probably have your curve, improving the win rate for when that card is played.

    • @tudornaconecinii3609
      @tudornaconecinii3609 5 місяців тому +1

      Played winrate is biased in favor of alpha strike cards and biased against curve cards. The only stat that really matters for the purpose of which cards to draft is deck winrate. (obviously there are spots where you don't take the card with the highest deck winrate, but those spots are determined by local analysis, not by any *other* stat)

    • @YMasterS
      @YMasterS 5 місяців тому

      @tudornaconecinii3609 that's bad analysis. You've identified a trend and decided It's a rule. That's no different to purely going by played winrate.

    • @tudornaconecinii3609
      @tudornaconecinii3609 5 місяців тому

      @@YMasterS You can ask any infinite arena specialist you want (dreads, judge, kolst, veritas etc). They will all tell you the same thing: stats are overrated and a lot of drafting choices should be done ignoring all of them, but the most important stat IS deck winrate.

    • @YMasterS
      @YMasterS 5 місяців тому

      @tudornaconecinii3609 you can't ask any of them and get that response because I'm giving you a different response, and I'm in that category.
      Besides, my points were about played winrate, not deck winrate.
