As a fellow stylist, I agree. The lightener isn't necessarily the problem ( neither are the foils). Some stylists reach for a higher developer than what's needed. Level 7, 10, or 20 will yield excellent results when using a lightener. It just takes longer to proceess with a lower developer, but "low and slow" helps preserve the hair's integrity. She did a great job with your hair!
My hair goals are to: (1) establish a dedicated wash day and wash day routine (2) grow my hair to its longest potential (3) wear my hair down for the first time in FIVE YEARS!
Same! Except it will be the 1st time in 4 years for me! I have FINALLY figured out what my hair likes and wants and it is finally starting to retain length which I am super excited about.
@lifeandstyleatlanta8689 Well, after flunking out of UA-cam University, I stumbled upon the "Black Girl Curls method" of not using raw oils and butters and learned to my surprise that my hair loves that method and had been breaking off terribly from being chronically dehydrated and suffocated from using heavy oils and butters (no shade to those who use raw oils and butters if it works for you). My hair is now way more hydrated and healthy and retaining length like crazy! My current routine consists of washing/deep conditioning 1x/week and using the Kinky Curly leave in and custard as my "base" followed by Obia Naturals curl enhancing custard as a "topper". I am planning to try the Ennba Naturals gel as my topper in the summer for humidity control. I now finally have the length and health to be able to wear my hair out which I had been dying to do before but couldn't b/c my hair was so dehydrated and broken off.
I love the curls!! I love Innersence I Create hold. Didn't realize there was a mousse. Yes, please do hair video of combo!! My hair goals is to have length with healthy hair and looking for hydrating combo.
I've always wanted to dye my hair chocolate brown. Love it Hair goals grow it out. I gave myself an uneven cut too. Layers again just not as drastic this time. They are a headache to grow back out. Not using gel has been amazing for my hair. Grow it out back to butt length again
Beautiful highlights by Kristal and Tanzania, Alyssa! I hope to get back to Tanzania soon. I’ve been thinking about getting color again soon but by Tanzania. My hair goals are to keep my length as much as possible, grow my hair past my shoulders, and maintain a healthy routine.
Love your hair! It's beautiful! I have a question though, It said bleach free in the description, but if she didnt use bleach, what did she use to lighten it, since she only used 7 vol? If she used permanent color, you at least have to use 20 vol to get to the level of lightness that you got to. So are you sure she didn't use bleach? It may be good to double check with your stylist. It turned out to be a beauitful brown highlight though.
My hair goal is to grow my hair out since I've consistently maintained short hair for the 5 years I've been natural and to have a blunt cut. I love the look of people who wear mini braids or mini twists and their braids and twists are all the same length.
I want to continue to grow my hair out! But I’m kind of sad because even though my hair has grown so much over the past 3 yrs since cutting it off, my curly fro still looks like the same length smh. You can’t tell my hair has grown out until it’s straightened which is really discouraging at times! SMH I’m waiting for gravity to start stretching my curls and lengthening my fro, but it seems like the longer my hair gets, the curlier and springy-er my curls get! Lol ugh!
It looks lovely. Can I ask a question because your hair is so freaking similar to my daughter’s hair. Is one side of your hair thicker/fuller/ more strands than the other side? I ask because my daughter’s hair is the exact same way and she avoids middle parts because of it. But she loves a middle part
@@cmw1336 I’m going to show her your hair and how you part yours down the middle because you like it! I tell her to do what she likes all the time but maybe she’ll read this and give up on perfection and enjoy her hair the way she likes
Please get a color analysis done by a professional who will drape you (not someone taking random guesses) I suggest Carol brailey she’s amazing!!! It is life changing

I’m considering going to Kristal too!

these are beautiful goals!! sounds like we’re in a healthy hair growth journey together this year 🫶🏾

I told you to go for it sis! Beautiful results
Very beautiful!❤
Beautiful results.
Beautiful results! ... Curious: , Did she use a "leave in" under that combo?

Yeah I don't really understand how she lightened if she didn't use bleach?

Our Caymanian Girl!
Love your curls. What's the name of tge salon?
Are you saying you prefer I Create Definition Foam over Mousse Def Texture Foam? I thought Mousse Def was your holy grail.
nope mousse def is still top fave! it gives me more moisture than the innersense foam. both are great tho!
@@AlyssaMarieXo Thanks!
What’s the product your stylist used with no bleach for the color?

I want a spunky cut and a baliage sooo bad. But I hate getting to the salon with migraines.

My hair is definitely like that. Left side way more dense than the right. Don't know why. But I love a middle part and where them constantly!

Where is the salon located please?
It’s Salon Skanda in Sandy Springs (Atlanta area).
